Installed WindowBlinds 7.3 final and it's doing that no skinning thing again when I reboot. It's random, sometimes it runs at startup sometimes it does not. I have auto restart disabled like tech support said but it's still happening. The last beta was working flawlessly. I may go back to it.
Also since I installed 7.3 it broke both my Cursor Control Panel and my IconPackager browser. They both lock up minutes after starting them. They work fine with WB removed.
Anyone else having issues?
I was just going to post an update. For some reason the configuration window had gotten too short to display anything but the taskbar. I stretch it and it shows the full preview now.
Someone suggested that the "ignore" option has never worked with cmd.exe. I thought it did before 7.3 but my memory may be faulty. Has anyone else noticed the invisible app bar when you run cmd.exe? Is it a function of what blind I use?
Nevermind, I just answered my own question, it appears to be blind dependent.
The "someone" was the application developer.
OK I have not read every post to this topic but I read a lot and if I understand correctly the update from the store is causing some people problems. Seeing how I renewed my subscription after the sale I cannot use impulse so should I stay away from the store update? 7.2 is working fine for me and I would like to keep it that way.
On a different topic I just want to apologize to all members and admin for my actions not that long ago. I reacted negatively to a comment that was made which I took the wrong way. I am sorry and I do hope the ones I offended will forgive me. I will not try to justify my actions. What I said and done was wrong and if I could take it back I would. I learnt my lesson so I do hope you will accept my apology and also overlook this little thread hijack.
I found, I had to have Impulse installed to uninstall some items using control panel add program features, I uninstalled all my Stardock programs then re-installed them using the stardock store https://store.stardock.com/login.aspx?ReturnUrl=/myaccount/products
I still have Impulse/GameStop running. It is still needed to install any archived items in the event of a major problem which I do not for foresee.
Welcome home good buddy. At the risk of getting shot down I'd say stick with 7.2 until the problems are solved. I haven't experienced any yet but I think I'm in the minority on this one. Hopefully I won't but better safe than sorry.

However, the ignore option does work if I use the Ravens Wood blind. Odd.
I had to go back to 7.2 and will also keep it til the problems are solved.
OK, too many issues in 7.3. I do not have the 7.2 download and don't want to go back several days on the Windows Restore. Is there a way to get the old version back from Stardock?
I Got one specific issue here
I just updated to the 7.3 version and I noticed a strange behavior with GPsoft Opus software.
When drag/drop files using the Opus directory explorer (replacing windows explorer) I don't have pointer anymore inside the Opus windows. And the transfers progress window doesn't display anymore.
It worked well on the 7.2

Is this the same post you did elsewhere? Anyway, I'm using WB 7.3 and DoPus 10 and have noticed the same problem with drag and drop. However, the transfer progress window DOES display. But, I'm using 32-bit, not 64-bit.
I just installed WB yesterday, so I used the 7.3 version. I've been reading this thread about problems with that version.
Since I still have the v7.2 download from SS, can I just install that OVER 7.3 and it will be OK?
SHOULD I install that over 7.3?
I OPUS 9 I do not loose my mouse Pointer and I run 7.3 WB
I would uninstall 7.3 and then install 7.2.

I am not sure if Stadock is aware that the current Windowblind istaller is faulty. After installing the lastest current build I had some issues with WB so i wanted to unistall it and it gave me a message "cannot open install log" Still waiting on supports reply. let's see
I went through something similar if you back in this thread. Running scannow found some errors and seems to have fixed it. It's been running fine since.
Any idea on how to get the grid lines to show in Excel on my new desktop, it's Win 7 and I installed WB7.3 through the store?
Problem doesn't happen on my old laptop which is Win7 too, but I installed WB7.3 through Impuse on it.
Also on the desktop, every time I start it up, the transparency in the taskbar and Tiles is gone and I have to reapply the skin.
When did you install the update Karen? appearantly there are 2 versions of 7.3. The first version was 7.30.037 and that had some issues so they fixed them and gave another 7.3 update which is 7.30.047. The later seems to be working fine for people. I know that I have the grid lines using 2010 version of office.
I downloaded it 3 times, so probably have the newest version, but will check next time I use it. Maybe I should uninstall it, use CCleaner and then downoad a clean version. Thanks JC
No Problem Karen. Just make sure to download the version from the store and not impulse because apparently impulse does not have the updated version of 7.3.
This is what happens below when you hit translate instead of spell check in google toolbar. Once you do you cannot even delete it through the edit option. Because I can't delete it your stuck with all that garbage.
Still running WB v7.2. And based on the info i've read, I don't plan on upgrading any time soon.
Where can I get WB 7.2 I am having way to many issues with my skins. PLease anyone have any idea?
I did the sfc /scanow and I still have the cannot open install log message. i cannot remove wb 7.3 from my pc
Karmat, I have the same problem and have had it even in WB 7.2 so I set WB to ignore Excel 2010. The original 7.3 appeared to ignore the "ignore" option but it's working again. I even tried to remove the ignore only to see app bar problems that made me turn it back on again. Specifically, the min/max/close buttons are in the menu bar rather than the app bar.
