No! While much of what I say here is tongue-in-cheek and/or irreverent, I sometimes speak from the heart when it comes to politicians and others with far too much power. However, one thing I do NOT advocate is shooting anyone... for any reason. Yes, I am frequently angered by the vile and corrupt ways of those at the top, but at the end of the day I'm essentially a pacifist and against violence of any kind.
I too saw it as more of a baited question or of a veiled accusation as there had been no racial overtones up to that point. So I certainly can not fault Doc for stepping in where he did, or as moderately as he did, as I would have certainly been a lot less yeilding in my handling of it.
Unfortunately with the written word sometimes what is perceived is not what may be intended, but it is our job as mod's to step in when things look like they could be going down a path that should remain untraveled. Occasionally this may ruffle a few feathers but believe me we only intervene if we think it's necessary to keep things civil.

Well, if they do show up they would not be active duty military, they would not be allowed to participate in anything like this. I served 22 years in the military, and I would personally do not condone actions like this that could possibly trigger violence. I see it already starting unfortunately though, sad. I agree with what their point is, but not their methods, and demonstrations like this always lead to violence in the end.

You would have to be pretty stupid to believe this story. Yes the arrests took place, but purposely herding them onto the bridge! Hah! Made up story!
WHEN you look at some very smart group of people, and they are doing things to harm the public, you have to ask some questions. Are they all drunk? Sudden insanity? Or do they understand exactly what they are doing, an......d do they intend the logical and likely consequences of their own actions? For the Democrats, I conclude that they know exactly what they are doing, they know the alternatives, they know how much people are suffering, they know that their supporters expected and believed they would help us and that they are betraying us, and they choose to behave in the way they do because it is more beneficial for them to do so.
How would it be beneficial for them to betray their supporters? Well, first, they receive enormous bribes and kick-backs from the ruling classes for doing so. They are rich and they want to be richer. There is no such thing as enough money. And second, they know we are demoralized, disorganized, terrorized, and ultimately we can be imprisoned or murdered if we get out of line. So they don't really spend any time thinking about us.
American working people whose lives have been destroyed tend to go off into the desert or the mountains and drink themselves to death. Or sometimes they kill their spouses and kids, and then themselves. Or sometimes they just grit their teeth, get day work whenever they can, and live in constant despair. But the one thing they don't do, for the most part, is get organized. As long as the people are isolated from each other, as long as they blame themselves for the devastation in their lives, the politicians can just keep betraying us, keep selling us out. Laughing at us. But there's no morality involved. The GOP is even WORSE : the Conservative leadership - on the other hand - is a different story - they are more like a flesh-eating parasitic virus eating away at all the Planet's resources and leaving nothing but destruction and devastation

The problem isn't voting one (or some) in (or out). The problem lies in the funding of elections and candidates. It lies in the PACs. The Supreme Court is on Neptune... they ignore fundamental human greed.
The problem lies in groups/parties, whatever which put ideologies and "-isms" before human beings and a nation's needs. They will do anything to propagate some principle over any amount of human suffering in a quest for power.
The justification? "We know what's best and we'll never compromise our ideals (Dems, Tea Party and Repubs)."
This nonsense has no place in a government which should and must run on compromise. Grow the hell up! There is no "Perfect" nor "Ideal".
