Quick synopsis
This mod introduces the colonial and cylon factions to the Sins of the Fallen universe. Both races will be playable with any of the planets, addons, and races included in Sins of the Fallen including the stock races. Both the colonial and cylon's factions will be balanced against the stock factions to support this approach.
Colonial Fleet
Relying on heavily armored and armed ships the colonial fleet is always on the defense looking for cylon incursions. Lacking shields of any kind Battlestar Point Defense systems are used to intercept incoming weapons and minimize damage to nearby frigates and cruisers supporting the fleet.

I want to, I'm hoping they give us a buff to make it work for the AI.
Cylons actually perform research and experiments on various planets. They were also shown to occupy worlds. But yes, I'll likely give mobile rulership and shipboard labs as an option.
The Colony will indeed be their titan. Epic!
I've uploaded a version with the militias included. This will likely be the last upload for a while as I've started tearing things apart.
cool! Thanks Z. The cylons and colonials are so much fun to play. Great work
Hey i know this may be an odd question to ask but i sorta figured out the crashes on my end Thanks to your effects listing . i have all my setting on recommended instead of limited however i know this may be a dumb question but why cant they be high on this mod?
It might Mini-dump Holy beast.
the colony as their titan.......sweet. i was just joking.
Yep, true... like the human/cylon farms on Caprica and the ice planet where they developed the first hybrid basestar in the first cylon war.
But the cylons evolved from toasters to human models, and developed all of their new weapons/basestars, all from their Colony homeworld (which is now a Titan)... all of their post-cylon war research and leadership developed from a mobile battlestation.
Been loving the BSG mod ever since it came out (way before you took the project over), but just wanted to say thanks for your continued work on it. Been playing 0.3 last night and had lots of fun, the Hardliner Titan simply is a beast
Downloading 0.4 now
Didn't encounter any major bugs, nothing like crashes or minidumps anyway (settings all on high). Game running very smooth on medium sized maps. Ignoring all the "string not found" and missing/wrong descriptions since it is Alpha relese, let me know if/when I should go looking for stuff like that.
cheers mate!
Right, but they also needed to mine for metal and refine tylium for the construction of their old and new Basestars.
And, I'd say it's not entirely clear if all of their post-cylon war research was developed on the Colony, but it was definitely central to them as it was based on the original cylon technology.
Cool. I'm a big fan of BSG and grew up with the original series too. It's fun to fire up this mod.
I'm in the process of creating all new abilities and research trees for the colonials and cylons. The current are more of a stop gap I did to atleast make the game playable. When these are completely I definitely need feedback on any issues. Just don't ask how long it will take as I won't have a good answer.
The colony was built around the ship the Final Five used to transport themselves to the colonies from Earth. a fair bit of their tec probably came from the Final Five. They also ,obviously if you seen the series, have ground facilitys for mining. I'm unsure of the fate of the Hades basestars as it's been a while since i watched season 5....starting again on season 1 after watching the orignal batman movies.
p.s I also have the orignal series and saw the 'gun on ice planet zero' ep as a kid....some 15-16 years ago now.
Heh, did find one omission just now - there is no icon to build the orbital cannon (Novalith) in the tactical structures tree.
Fighting two hard AI Cylons ATM and really missing it ;(
Sorry, that wasn't worded great... The original cylons are the thirteenth tribe in my mind.
On the other, that's sorta my point on the unknowns with the Cylons. It's unclear outside of the Colony and a few other glimpses what they did with their original basestars and infrastructure once the final five made their deal with the cylons.
This mod will be loose enough you can define your own back story though.
Colonials won't have Novaliths. Neither will Cylons.
oops, yes re-reading my last post I can see it wasn't worded well. my only defense is it was really late at night when I wrote that one.
Just finally managed to build the Cetus...while it is in line with general Colonial design for warships, I think its Kinda ugly.
Well The nickname of the Galatica was the Bucket. Also Warships are not meant to be Pretty. i think it looks like a Mean old Dog of War it's meant to be.
I meant mine wasn't worded well... Crap again Saying original cylon's can mean too many damn things. Sorry about that, your post was fine.
ahh ok orignal cylons are those from Kobal then? then there's colonial cylons and earth cylons. the Final Five are biological descendants of the Kobal cylons. the earth cylons killed everyone but the final five on earth. the colonial ones buggered off for 40 years, (plz pardon me language), then came back and tried to waste everyone. that about right?

Yep!
Probably would have scrapped them and used the metal to build the new basestars and expand the Colony.
In the scenario that I have put together, after the final 5 meet with the cylons and end the war, there is a rogue group of Centurions from the first Cylon war (12 colonies) that foresee a repeat of the past, where the new human models suppress and enslave them. They break away from the final 5/human models to seek their own destiny as pure machines.
I think it's rather badass personally. This battlestar pre-dates the galactica.
That's my point, there is no hard info on the Cylons and their infrastructure. Syfy's Blood & Chrome might have added some lore detail for TRS, but it's not looking good at this point.
what the Cetus predates the galactica? since when? it was my understanding that the galactica was one of the first 12 battlestars made and represented Caprica. I personally like the look of the new galactica over TOS series one but then a CGI model tends to have more stuff you can do with it than a physical model.
i had the cylon milita on and the one thing i noticed (before i got too tired) was the rather stupid amount of missels floating around. with just 16 ish ships (1 galactica 5 colonial defenders) and the milita the missles were just flying around at random (other than the ones that actually hit). in fact quite a few times a missile flew past the camera and i was a fair distance away from the combat (about the range of Flack from Galactica on on the far side of the fight). too many missiles!
Judging from the film Razor, there are still a few Hades basestars in service, though relegated to rear-area defense.
nope, no hades class still in service, that was a Guardian class basestar. besides from what Sharon said the Cyons in Razor are not part of the biological cylons.
All this has happened before, and all of it will happen again.
The Galactica is one of the first 12 battlestars of the Twelve Colonies. The Cetus is one of the last battlestars from Kobol.
It's been discussed, but won't be fixed until the final release later this year or early next year. It's back a few pages on what the technical issue is, but basically deals with how weapon effects and hardpoints work (in this case too many hardpoints).
Wasn't that the flashback to the cylon hybrid research planet?
I've got to be honestly fair, if I remember the talk correctly, the Cetus was the ship that left Kobol. With that size of a ship the Columbia/Jupiter class battlestars were more than likely not the first Battlestars that the Colonials made, but most likely the first of the Cylon war. Also, there's is this: http://en.battlestarwiki.org/wiki/Galactica_type_battlestar#Notes
