Quick synopsis
This mod introduces the colonial and cylon factions to the Sins of the Fallen universe. Both races will be playable with any of the planets, addons, and races included in Sins of the Fallen including the stock races. Both the colonial and cylon's factions will be balanced against the stock factions to support this approach.
Colonial Fleet
Relying on heavily armored and armed ships the colonial fleet is always on the defense looking for cylon incursions. Lacking shields of any kind Battlestar Point Defense systems are used to intercept incoming weapons and minimize damage to nearby frigates and cruisers supporting the fleet.

Thx, I watched the first two seasons of the re-imagined BSG and know they are on Netflix (currently watching the Star Trek runs). Thanks for the rest of the info.
I used to watch TOS during the Thanksgiving Day marathon every year back in the 90's, and I couldn't really get into TRS, because of all of the switching around things and the "gritty at each others throats" drama.
That was also what turned me off about SGU, with its same brand of drama just with more planets, that didn't really feel like SG1 and SGA. The fact that SGU killed the new SG1 and SGA movies with its cancellation sure hasn't helped its reputation with me either.
I really enjoyed TOS, but the re-imagined series was something my wife and I both enjoyed. She's also a fan of SG1 and SGA but neither of us cared too much for SGU. It's a shame really because it could have been done SO much better.
Ya, was having a bit of fun with my response... Everyone should know of Netflix (*cough* Qwikster) by now.
Really, I've mainly been pounding for images lately to texture or re-texture some of what kyogre12 had or looking to pull in publicly released models like from Coxxon (some of which were already in the mod).
Looking Great. Can't wait to play this mod. I am a huge bsg fan. I grew up with Tos but really though the reimagen version was very good. Btw BBC America is showing the new version on sat.
Wow... I can't believe how good this is looking.... you're doing such a good job ZombieRus5...
Looks amazing, I recently marathon-ed TRS of BSG and thought that it was one of the best pieces of entertainment I have seen in my life. A shame that the Sy Fy channel isn't a Sci Fi channel anymore. I am anxiously awaiting a Diplomacy release of this mod, So Say We All!
Thanks guys.
Here's a new texture made by me for the original long range frigate from Sot13t. I've also added some turrets from the Asgard battlestar which I think adds a lot to the ship. I'm calling it Alberio from Wolf's shipyard to differentiate it from the Cygnus right now.
Another update:
* Not all battlestars are capital ships
Um why Thor is so small?? It was based on ship that's actually bigger than Galactica. But the scale is your chose...
I will live with that
I hadn't really scaled much yet. I plan on making a few passes to try and get things looking good and help with pathing.
Overall these are the ships I plan on using for the main Colonial fleet (though I have a new texture for the Nova class thats tagged Prometheous in that picture).
Thoughts?
Ok, found a decent way to texture the Nova class model.
Also, spruced up the texture and uv-map for a Tiger class strikestar...
Forgive my ignorance.... but I'm assuming that the Thor is the most powerful Battlestar?
They all look sooooo awesome!!! You've done such a great job.
What will you work on next? Ragnar Anchorage?
Well, I can't really find any information on the Thor other than it's relationship to the Warstar Thor variation on Wolf's Shipyard. I have it classified as a Battleship role though for the Sins AI and plan to make all the Capital class Battlestars fairly strong.
Actually Thor is based on:
Battlestar Andraste
Battlestar Eternal
Battlestar Nova
Battlestar Poseidon
Battlestar Prometheus
Battlestar Titan
From Wolf's shipyard, and thanks him for so many good concepts.
and it first name was Python, but Kyogre don't like the name so Thor is it.
And it have
6 gun, 4 rocket launcher, 2 archer artillery to front;
14 gun, 4 rocket launcher and some flak to left/rightand 24 nuclear rocket launcher on top of head
Thanks for the background on the Thor. I think I'll keep the name in honor of Kyogre.
Not sure on the Archer Artillery but it could work as an ability with the current ships limit to 3 weapons.
On scaling here's what I'm working on using 1 kilometer as the standard scale.
Battlestar Asgard Unknown
Battlestar Valkyrie ~1.3k (Battlestar Wiki) or ~.9k (Wolf's shipyard)
Battlestar Galactica ~1.4k
Battlestar Pegasus ~1.7k
Battlestar Thor ~2.2k (Same size as Andraste)
Battlestar Nova ~2.5k
Gunstar Cygnus ~.9k
Gunstar Alberio ~.9k
Gunstar Sentinal ~1.1k
Support Moebius Flattop Unknown
Heavy Constructor Unknown
Gunstar Tiger ~1.4k
Strikestar Eurytion ~.35k
Gunstar Defender ~1.1k
Skirmishtar Vigilant ~.8k
Escortstar Berzerk ~1.3k
Olympic Carrier ~.22k
Colonial One ~.04k
Gemnon Traverl ~.06k
Colonial Movers ~.27k
Fighter Raptor ~8-10 meters
Zephyr ~1.2k
I'm currently using a boundary radius of 200 to approximate 1 kilometer and then scaling the ships using the above values. I may however use a different seed factor (possibly smaller for frigates/cruisers and larger for capitals) to apply the scale with based on looks and pathing issues. First step is to get sizing in place and play around with the game some.
Any chance on seeing the classis battlestars? u knw from the old old shows plz X3
The scale's sound about right.. The models look awesome! Keep up the great work Z.
Thanks, the scaling took a small bit of research as it's spread out across a few resources.
Hopefully the large size of BSG ships won't cause too much issues with pathing, otherwise I'll be happy to change the seed factor.
On the side, I'm probably going to release what I've done up to this point as soon as I get the icons sorted. It's horribly unbalanced right now, but it's fun playing with the Battlestars. It will only be an unfinished Beta but I'm really not that concerned given this is being done for fun.

Horribly unbalanced as in they mow everything down?
One of the things that stood out about the battlestar galactica universe was the sheer size of the ships. Some of them were over 2km long (about 1.25 miles in my part of the world). You couldn't really tell just how large the Galactica (and later the Cylon Basestar when it joined the fleet) were until they were near all the civilian ships.
In comparison, the Babylon 5 EA ships were about the same length but at the same time weren't as wide and had much less mass. Star Trek ships were downright puny compared to them.
Here's some of the lengths I found: Galactica = 1.445 km, Pegasus = 1.79 km, EA Omega class = 1.714 km. Unofficial info from one of the Sins Moderators puts the SoASE capital ship sizes around 1.0 km: https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/172963/page/1/#1556877
The Federation Sovereign class comes in at a whopping 685 meters.
It's more of a subtle warning that it's not going to be like Sot13t as in I'm rebalancing everything.
So basically what I'm trying to do is keep BSG ships in scale with each other first as much as possible. The will however be comparable to Sins ships. The biggest difference will be the frigates which will overall be larger in the BSG universe.
The Colonial Fleet has met the Vasari, and they don't like them much either
Wow, impressive Zombie....
