How To Install Sins of the Fallen
Important: RESTART Sins of a Solar Empire after activating the mod. This will avoid a common mini-dump after starting a game. If the game mini-dumps attempting to deactivate the mod (i.e. similar issue), then delete the EnabledMods.txt in your rebellion mod folder.

Quick synopsis
This mod introduces the colonial and cylon factions to the Sins of the Fallen universe. Both races will be playable with any of the planets, addons, and races included in Sins of the Fallen including the stock races. Both the colonial and cylon's factions will be balanced against the stock factions to support this approach.
Colonial Fleet
Relying on heavily armored and armed ships the colonial fleet is always on the defense looking for cylon incursions. Lacking shields of any kind Battlestar Point Defense systems are used to intercept incoming weapons and minimize damage to nearby frigates and cruisers supporting the fleet.

Modding Contributions Needed
Here's an in game shot with the blue skybox.
I'm already aware of those options, and i'm just fine about the colonials as they are. What i meant was just in a contrast between the two factions, cylon and colonial. It adds a much more visible difference between them rather than having them both be the same or similar in coloring.
ZombieRus5... What are your plans for the WorldStar? Going to leave it as is?

I'd like to have what he currently modeled as it's fitting for the Cylons. I don't have any plans though until I hear back from Koobalt and have either or both variations.
Actually the texture for White Basestar is not mine but i think it's Coxon, and made for kyogre12 (sorry if i write wrong your name), i only cut it and paste where i need it.
About the Warstar i will adjust the model to be a Cap, and for the star base will redone it to look more like on the image that Unikraken quote.
I understand that Warstar will use missiles so no gun by mesh?? And you want me to make texture or you will make it, since you say you have some old basestar texture??
The early era Cylon vessels could have turrets I guess... just got caught up in the missiles frame of thought and didn't really consider early era at the time.
I can take a crack at texturing it with the old basestar style textures. I can uv-map it too to match the texture sheet I laid out.
I assumed you added the extra detail on the sides in that texture. But yes, I added back in the color from Coxxon's original texture sheet. You can make it more white by adding more min/max shadow in the entity file to meet your desires too.
Well for first i will just reduce the poly for antenna, and add some detail , maybe some guns will see, and will send you the model, and will leave the uv to you...
Well i was doing that texture quite sometime ago, but i think there are some details i take from other sources...
Hope i will manage to complete the Warstar v1 today (5 p.m. in here ;])

Hmm... so I activated the first iteration of the Cylon militia and was a bit underwhelmed. I guess it had been so long since I played I forgot what the cylon frigates looks like.
Here's my assessment...
The light frigate intruder class is ok.
The anti-fighter watcher class is ok if it can get textured.
The siege frigate is just odd looking like a sled or something, though it's a siege frigate so I'd put that at a low priority.
The long range frigate looks odd IMO. I know it looks like the skirmisher class but I just don't like it at all. If I can replace it with something that looks cool and makes me want to build it I will.
The Heavy is DOA and won't be used, I'll be using a Basestar instead as the balance to the Asgard.
Here's my take on the ships that don't show up as militia...
The scout frigate's ok with a decent texture.
The colony frigate looks good.
The Carrier is DOA unless you convince me you really like it, because I don't.
I don't want to use the resurrection ship as a utility as it's already an important capital ship.
I don't mind the other utility model, but it badly needs retextured.
Need: A heavy constructor - Could be the colony frigate until something better is made.
Anti-Module role will most likely be filled by the offensively moving starbase.
All the modules pretty much need to be retextured though I'll put that as a low priority since they not real active in gameplay.
I'm also not real stoked about the Resurrection Hub as the repair Bay. I'm fairly certain it was slated for a starbase role as I hardpointed the model for kyrogre12. I'm inclined to make it a special starbase though that will be on your home planet but can't be re-built. We'll hopefully have the Warstar as the main starbase. With a special research tree for both.
If you have your own thoughts on these units speak up.

Sorry - should have been more specific regarding the WorldStar. I was talking about the below cap ship in Kyogre12's mod, primarily designed "to get as many cylon raiders in to battle as possible":
If I were you, I'd just use alot of teh same models for the Cylons; they seem to like regularity anyway
My bad, multiple star conversations I like this model and plan to use it. It just needs some touch up on the top and bottom textures.
It will likely stay the Carrier Capital model.
The new basestar will be the battleship.
The resurrection ship will stay the colony.
I then have several other ships to choose from including the two Guardians for the remaining capital assignments as well as having the two future Titans of the Colony and Boomer!
The capital classes are looking very good!
I might consider something like this to a certain extent.
Here's a mashup I made today as a potential replacement to the Carrier Cruiser.
I approve. It's very simple, but expected. This can be easily seen as an evolutionary step toward the current Basestar.
I (personally) think this is probably the best course of action unless someone steps up and wants to make more ships. A lot of the ones from the previous mod weren't all that Cylon-looking, IMHO.
One can also imagine that some ships in the Cylon fleet looked the same but were fitted with different equipment for different roles on the inside. Some Basestars may have had been fit to fire more missiles at the expense of raiders, or vice versa. Basestars are "organic" and can probably be coaxed into different roles where necessary.
The cylon's are looking good and I have to agree with Unikraken as far as ships with multi roles. 1 thought though is it possible to have a boarding feature with the cylons. As one of there tactics was to board enemy ships and vent the air.

Not sure about the name of the "WorldStar" though... doesn't it imply that it would be a large capital ship? Currently it is quite a small capital ship. What do you think ZombieRus?
The above one that I posted could be called a "SiegeStar" or something like that.
All the models are going to get resized using the same scale I used on the Battlestars. I'll make an approximation on the "WorldStar" but it should look more to scale.
Good idea. I could probably make that happen pretty easily. The current siege ship just doesn't work for me.
What about the TOS basestar?
Another idea... (if you're still looking for another cruiser or something) Cylon attackstar... was in Kyogre12's but the texture was all off. Like a TOS basestar but only the top half. Will leave the size up to you.
So the new cylon starbase check it, and tell me what you think... (z axis is the front)
Since all cylon ship so far don't have visible mesh gun i don't think that starbase should have them...
