As the title says, the GamesCom was pretty disappointing to me, i was looking toward>
Modern Warfare 3, but there was no new media presented,
Command and Conquer, i expected new game to be announced, which did not happen,
Homeworld 3, Relic was supposed to announce a new RTS project, but somehow ended up showing Space Marine only, which does not excite me one bit,
Gemini Wars, which was apparently presented there and its new publisher was supposed to be unveiled, but there is no single gaming site on the whole damn internet to report about this...bloody journos! cant be more useless, even if they tried.
Basically only game i am interested in and there was something new to see is PES 2012....
What about you? Was there something, you are excited about? Were you there in person?
I don't know, after Relic changed the voice actors to terrible ones, especially for Karen Sjet, and the gameplay changes in Homeworld 2, I am not sure. Though, Relic does seem to know what they are doing with Warhammer 40,000 from what I have seen by playing the demos for Dawn of War and its expansions, and Company of Heroes from what I have heard.

Nice. This is a good time to be a fan of TBS strategy games.
!!Warning!!: This post contains spoilers of an anime(sort of). If you haven't seen said anime, then you probably should log into your Netflix account and queue it up. If you like that sorta thing anyway.
Why.. Why of all the things did you have to mention that.. I can't even read its name without feeling the deep sense of loss after the abrupt end of the series due to the politics of business between two childish companies. Well, lets add to the list of painful losses.. The Legend of Dragoon 2, I mean seriously. Where the hell is that game? Brad(and all of you Stardockians), as a lover of games you should go to Amazon and buy The Legend of Dragoon for the PlayStation. If you have a retrofitted PS3 that can play it anyway. Then, play the game. Fall deeply in love with everything about it. Pick up the phone, dial Sony and yell at them. Profanity is optional(though heavily encouraged). Tell them to bring out a sequel this very damn instant! I've already made it known if I won the big lottery, I'm spending every damn cent on that game and a few others to bring back into the fray. Well, maybe not every cent. I mean I have a family that needs taking care of, so I'd certainly buy them all copies of Blood Omen and TLoD along with PS1's so they can fully understand my passion for those games. But anyway, Legacy of Kain and The Legend of Dragoon are only two of several titles that I'd have to bring back. I'd also buy the rights to Cowboy Bebop and have another episode created, for my own use. One that would show Spike alive and well, and kicking some douchebag in the face; but I digress..
But yeah.. Anyway, carry on.. Gonna go cry a little. And buy a lottery ticket.
Forgot to mention, Torchlight 2 was there. Looks excellent! The price has now been announced as $20, which is same as Torchlight 1, but Torchlight 2 is a much better game. TL1 was essentially a modern remake of Diablo 1 and TL2 is very like Diablo 2 Lord of Destruction. Since TL2 can be played offline and does not have a Real Money Auction House, they will probably pick up some fallout from the Diablo III excitement.
Also worth mentioning in this genre is Path of Exile. Made in New Zealand, this hack 'n slash will be free to download and play. Online only. Supported by ingame store with "ethical microtransactions." Beta now available if you are darn lucky, release this year.

Although Grinding Gear Games has yet to define precisely what "ethical microtransactions" are, free to download and free to play are attractive prices! Research on the company so far suggests they are sincere and the game quality is impressive.
This game seems more awesome http://www.destructoid.com/preview-masters-of-the-broken-world-209470.phtml
