Now available via the Impulse client - a hot fix for Sins of a Solar Empire: Trinity/Diplomacy that should resolve the reported issues with gameplay bugs.
Version 1.31
Thanks to all of the feedback from those who reported issues with the v1.3 release of Sins of a Solar Empire: Trinity/Diplomacy.
I'd settle for just having the number of classes allowed in the required section upped from 5 to something meaningful. Since the Dev.exe says bug a programmer if you need more... What smiley is the bug (a programmer) smiley?
What about the assaillant experience value ? Do you devs have a reason for not having changed that ?
Oh the XP values are screwy for several things...and then there's the screwy squadron times for SC...I don't expect those types of things will get changed, but who knows, I've been wrong before...
I don't know, maybe they just forgot it until now. Either that, or they have a good reason (which I'd like to know) to have left it as is, otherwise I don't really understand why a universally supported change that would be implemented in probably less than five minutes doesn't make its way into a patch... Plus it would help balance a little.
What are the "screwy squadron times" ?
I don't have the numbers memorized and it's been awhile since I made those changes to my mod, but if memory serves me correctly Vasari squadrons build faster than the others...and Advent squadrons build slower...the XP for destroying individual SC is also screwy...that there are different numbers of SC per squadron makes some squadrons more valuable XP wise than others...
Some of these issues will only apply to say, Vasari bombers vs. Advent bombers (one being built significantly faster or worth more XP), and some only apply to the fighters...
When I get a chance I'll look at the entity files and get more details, but basically if you just multiply the values associated with individual SC by the number per squadron, you can get a fair comparison among the factions' SC capabilities...
There's a general rebalance of all ship XP for Rebellion that's based on fleet supply. This also includes squadron XP.
I want to say a personal thank you to Yarlen for answering the questions posed by the Community, taking on board idea's, looking into queries/bugs stated by the community and all in all keeping everyone informed and keeping up the communication between the Devs and the community at large.
Well done Yarlen and thank you.
Hear Hear!
Awesome Yarlen! Now if you could just tell us when 1.32 will be released I think that will be all I have to bug a programmer about for the time being.
Awesome...good to hear...looking forward to Rebellions release!
Aiming tentatively for this Thursday. It'll depend on how well the above mentioned server maintenance goes.
So, maybe less tentatively for Friday now?
Haha. I was just thinking the same thing, but then again, it all depends on how late someone stays to upload the file.
lol ganna have to start to download when i go to work in morning. Do i need to completly erase all the requiem files and download or is it a patch?
Its a patch. The core game will be the only thing change. The mod will not be altered, though it may not work.
may not? y?
The mod may not be compatible the changes made in the core game. Sometimes it is fine (such as 1.3 to 1.31 which just effected the .exe mostly) and sometimes it is not (such as 1.21 to 1.3). So it will depend on what changes were made.
ok i get it. but this is 1.31 right? my darn sw mod still dont work with 1.31.
We are currently on 1.31 yes. Rumors of 1.32 are aswirling.
The server maintenance must be taking longer than expected, hopefully they might release it by late this afternoon. Otherwise it won't be till next week (don't think they work weekends). Unless they have discovered a few more bugs or want to add a few more compatibbility things for Rebellion.
I don't know if many people use this, but I just noticed the "Empire Tree: Show Backdrop" option doesn't cover the whole width of the empire tree in Diplomacy (Trinity at least). It works in Entrenchment though...
Yeah, we're actually a couple weeks delayed now - sorry gang. An unfortunate cluster of server movement, build issues and vacation time.
If it means the developers and such are well rested and the equipment works better ... well, I'm all for that!!! Ultimately that means a better product in the long run!
This^^
Yarlen ran out of booze. It'll take a couple weeks to fill the tanks.
