Greetings, friends!
We've been getting a lot of questions about how to download and install your Stardock software purchases from both the past and present (and future, too, I guess). Well, here's the skinny on that. Get it? 'Skin'ny? *sigh*
Anyway, at the moment we are in a transition period. Specifically, we are transitioning away from Impulse being your main download and update method. Going forward, you can access all of your registrations and download links for Stardock software by logging in here:
https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products
This will give you a list of everything that is on your account, along with your serial numbers and installer download links. That's right, download links directly to the latest stable version of the software. Let's all pause to let that sink in.
...
Ok, then. Each application should prompt for activation the first time, just type your email address, and copy/paste from the page into the window, and you should be all set.
As always, keep in mind that trial versions of our software are not upgradable to the full versions by entering a product key, and they must be uninstalled and the PC rebooted before installing the full version of any program.
Common issues:
"I don't see [program name] listed, what happened to it?"
If you have registrations on more than one email address, you'll need to get them on the same account. If you have access to both email addresses, you can merge them together here:
https://www.stardock.com/support/registrations/
If you don't have access to both, send an email to support@stardock.com with an order or serial number, or billing address for verification, and we'll merge them together for you.
"I just renewed my Object Desktop subscription, and Impulse still says it's expired!"
Because Impulse is now owned by Gamestop, your renewal only affects the Stardock side of things, so Impulse can't know that you've renewed. You will need to use the new download page to access the software.
"What about my games?"
If you've purchased any Stardock gaming titles (GalCivII, Sins, Demigod, Elemental), those will still be handled through Impulse. This site is for non-gaming software only.
"What about [problem that I haven't thought of yet]?"
Either post it here, or email support@stardock.com for assistance. If you're posting here, try to avoid posting things like serial numbers or personal email addresses.
nothing to DL
Whoot Cool thank you very much Zubaz!
Hello,
Sorry, still problems for me.
I have tiles installed and yesterday it shut down with the message " prerelease version expired ", it don't work anymore. On my downloads links page I have the same beta version, so nothing is possible .....
I also try to install the plus version of cursor xp and it says I have a wrong serial number.
Write to support but allways says to go to the account page to download the last versions, and it doesn't work. I renew this summer and a lot of things doesn't work
Please, is there something to do, especially for tiles ?
Thanks
Make sure to reply back to support. We'll figure it out.
I hope, thanks
Topynou, What OS are you on? And where did you download Tiles from (Impulse or the Stardock store)?
Same problem here.........
not to confuse things but I'm on W7 x64 and I believe I installed from Impulse before it stopped working for me. I did download the version on the store site this morning and installed it only to get the same expired message.
Just renewed and having the same problems, just glad I can uninstall Impulse as I hate the f*&^%$ thing.
JUst one small problem on my Stardock account download page, how are you suppose to tell the version and/or release date of each program. Just say's either Production or Beta? Impulse was poor but at lease it told you if an updates was available.
johnd
I'm on XP Pro, I think I download tiles from impulse the first time
Here's what worked for me.......
Uninstall Tiles - check to see if you have more than one listed in Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs if you do uninstall both (I had 2)
reboot
download Tiles from your account at the Stardock Store https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products
reinstall
I will try, thanks ( but I have only one )
Yeeeeeeees, it works ! Big thanks !
Not sure I have to do the same with cursorXP plus, as it don't recognize my serial number.
For CursorFX Plus (not sure about CursorXP Plus).....try uninstalling and then....
Install the file from the Stardock Store page, and use the serial number listed there.
Well i feel this is stardock going back in time, stardock central was great but impulse is wicked everything where you need it, how do we know when software needs updated and more, this is a bad move
A good move (replacement for Impulse) is on the way. Patience is in order.
A bit confused. Right now my Object Desktop is functioning just fine, so I don't think I'll do any downloads and installs with the new subscription I just purchased. OD is running via impulse with the correct expiration date. On the downloads page with my new subscription, stardock central is listed, but there is no functioning link. I tried an old sdcentral install that installed and loads, but is apparently not working with the new software (eg. lists Windowblinds 6 as being installed, even though it shows version 7). Any idea what's up with this?
sdcentral was replaced by Impulse some time ago and Impulse has been sold to GameStop. Impulse will be replaced by another system to download Stardock products.
In the meantime use the link provided in the op when you wish to update your ObjectDesktop software.

sounds fine, would be nice to know if there is a time horizon for the new downloader.
I do think I should point out to Stardock folks that the link mentioned in the OP in fact includes, at the bottom of the long list of software renewal links, a link or item for both "Stardock Central Component Manager", and "Wincustomize Customer Loyalty", both of which are non-functioning. Not to be snarky, but don't you think it would be a bit more professional to not have those included in the (apparently) automated response page posted for customer renewals, as well as avoiding confusing poor people like me who look at those and think they might actually mean something important?
I agree completely that there's no point in dead links, but the list was also intended (I think) as a record of prior purchases & downloads - mine still lists WB2. Only other defense is that reliance on the MyAccount page is temporary and will be replaced soon, allowing it to return once again to obscurity.
Prior to Impulse there use to be a OD manager can't we just go back to that?
It's in development.
OK, so here's a weird one. I DL'd ObjectDock Free, about a month ago, to test it out. Loved it, so today, I purchased not only Dock Pro, but Object Desktop. I uninstalled the free Dock, went to install the new one, and it says it already exists and to use impulse to update?!? I have no idea how it already exists, cause its not under programs in control panel. tried downloading impulse, went to register Dock Pro and impulse tells me its not a valid serial and only serials from SD will be accepted. I dont know what to do, does anyone know? Pictures Follow:
SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!!
Mad_Hattr: Email support@stardock.com and then PM me the ticket number. I have a test build that I think might fix the issue.
Thanks!
