Basically this is for all the players that wish they could of been in the first dominion 3 game and missed the chance or had some bad luck and were knocked out of the first game.

Two things,well three actually:
1) Wonderloss thank you very much for setting this up!
2) Shadowtongue your going to become admin correct? And it would most certainly be my preferred choice that you do please.
3) Somewhat embarrassing but I have already encountered a problem when I downloaded the map I only received 1 file: Dawnofthemorning.rgb...............I put it in my map folder of dom3 and went to create a new game to look at the map and its not showing up.
Every time I have downloaded a map before there would be 2 files a .map file and a .tga file.
So how is the new guy screwing up? Looked in the Dom3 faq under maps and no help.

You do not need the .tga file, though this does mean you cannot see the map in a new game. The .tga will be included with the turn files for this game.
I decided not to include it, due to the fixed starts. If someone has the .tga, it would provide them a way to find out where all of the capitals are located.
If you would like to load up the map ingame, I can make a .tga available that does not have fixed starts.

Has anyone besides Arco and C'tis tried submitting pretenders yet? I've been waiting on the automated confirmation mail for 3 or 4 hours now.
FYI - the server is down again. Every now and then, the processing ... process stops ... processing moves and issuing new turns. You can find out by checking the times and dates in your game:

I submitted my pretender on wednesday, and have not heard back... thnaks for the explanation. I was a fraid I dd something wrong. maybe I didn't, afterall.

Hi ghostwes, I have thought alot about it, and Wonderloss emailed me about it. I'm crunched for time this week, and don't have time, even with a sat/sun start date, to try and learn another nation. Yomi is just to vulnerable to everyone else's banish spells. So i will stay with Smurfette. Giants are way too expensive to use much, so i have (hopefully) worked out a way to take neutral provinces with a mix of non- giant troops. Worked in SP... we will see. Thank s for the kind offer.

If you got a bunch of 'invalid pretender file' emails back I think you're ok, so long as the last email you got was 'revised pretender file'.
Anyway, we'll see when we start! Just waiting on one more pretender.
If it bonks we'll just restart, so don't worry. Remember your pretender has to be made with NO MODS active.
I think llama does, but really there are not usually issues with the server. From my past experience with it anyway.
Well clearly he's having issues now, but it's his ISP or telecom or whatever, not the server per se.
Anyway, don't worry until the first turn Get the pretender file in (*cough*Marverni*cough*) and we'll be off and running I hope.
I don't mind waiting a bit more for things to settle, but I am starting to get a little tired of the corrupt 2h messages for games I'm not ever part of
