Smurfette last a hall of famer... ouch...
Well isn't she just she smurfiest smurf that ever smurfed!
ABYSIA, THE SMOULDERCONE - Reports of the demise of Abysia have, it seems, been greatly exaggerated.
Following the glorious liberation of the capital from the armies of Sauromatia, thanks to the dozens of Anathement Salamanders and Dragons who had previously devoted their lives to research, Abysia has been free from hostile incursion for some time. As C'tis continues to deal with the Caelum threat, as well as increased pressure from their new border-mates from Neifelheim, Sauromatia has pulled back to regroup in friendly territory. Meanwhile the Abysian fire mages are scrambling to retake Abysian territory around the capital.
Things had become so dire that the Abysians began giving out gems and items to their allies. Figuring the last, desperate attempt to retake the capital was a fools errand, the Abysian commanders decided it was better not to risk losing its precious owl quills to the enemy, and so made a gift of a great many. Much to the surprise of Joe - who, frankly, has never been known for his tactical brilliance - the siege of Abysia was broken, and now the nation is without the portion of gems and items it gave away.
It matters little, as now the bulk of the mages who could otherwise use those items are now on the march. Moreover, Abysia's gem income, in spite of the territory it has lost, remains strong. A recent diplomatic envoy was heard to say: "Our friends in Neifelheim and Caelum may keep our gifts, as we are sure they will put them to good use. Frankly, though we did manage to fend off Sauromatia ourselves, without Caelum's aid we'd have been conquered by the lizards by now. Whatever we give them is their due. As for Neifelheim, they're coming aid deserves a similar reward."
It remains to be seen whether Abysia's resurgence is momentary or not. For now, the fires of the Smouldercone burn bright, and the priests who conduct the virginal sacrifices work with the verve of men who have been given a second chance. Even Joe - flanked by his new prophet and demonic lover Malphas - has shed his customary seriousness. He has even, it is said, forged himself a fancy ring...
A fancy ring?
Ulm can only dream of fancy rings. Unless you want a ring of tamed lightning? No? Ring of regeneration? Not that either? Slave collar? Err... well probably not, but Joe does fancy some odd bedroom behavior... or so our spies tell us...
Ulms ability to forge fancy rings is woefully inadequate. Oh kind and wonderful Joe, please tell us more of this ring, and how we might acquire one?
Ah, rings, and things.. I do so love pretty jewelry. I am seeking nature and astral gems. Anyone interested in trading?
Naughty Naughty...
Dispelling my so helpful spell, it makes everyone's taxes higher!
And if you think I don't know who did it, think again. If the party is willing to repay the cost of my spell (less his dispel cost, Ulm is ever fair) then I will say nothing more.
If not, then the answer becomes clear. NaP broken? It is an offensive action taken against Ulm, and thinking that you can hide behind anonymity... very poor judgment, when Ulm is friends with everyone!
Clearly someone fears your impending Tart spam. I be you already have the Chalice.
My game still shows two global spells, how is it possible?
Because there were three
We'll see on the turn if the price is paid or not.
The icicle times:
The Smurfette hails the bravery of the C'tis defenders who relieved the siege of their castle and obliterated the main Jarl army. Even being twice born availed the jarls nothing. Darkness cast on the battle spelled (pun) the end of the Jarl's fighting chances. Many high level items lost to C'tis as well. The C'tis have carried the day.
In other news: Assassin fails to curb bloodlust of newest virgin hunter. Stables filling fast.
<OOC> congrats ghostwes... I never expected such a one sided defeat... the darkness did the trick. Well played. <OOC end >
In a similar move, C'Tis attempted to use Darkness and Undead to break the siege of their capital, to less satisfactory results.
Rumors abound in the palace district of dissent towards the current war party in power. No official word form the big icicle, but prevalent rumors suggest the jarls would be amenable to peace overtures and naps with c'tis.
In other news: The current head negotiaitor has ben reassigned to head up an expedition in sunny Dimsdale. New negotiator is rumored to be a no-nonsense, skinshifter of few words. "I don't believe in using words as tools of deception. I hate stalling. Just want to cut deals and go back to my ice fishing.
OK, i am leaving today - please change configuration so Wonderloss gets next turn
have a safe trip, my friend, ...be well, ... and come back and let your lizards' roar all over our little dom3 sandbox.
I changed the email address for Sauro.
Black News from the front!
Caelon, Hero of Caelum, the nation's most powerful Eagle King, unquestionably the greatest practitioner of Air magic in the world, Hall of Fame darling, with 610 PERSONAL KILLS to his name, was killed by a stray spear fired randomly from C'Tis' defensive tower in the first round of combat.
The entire world morns his tragic death.
The Smurfette declares national day of mourning for brave Caelon.
I haven't had any replies to my post looking for subs. I'm going to post within each of my games, as perhaps some of you would like to babysit my nation in my other games, and perhaps someone there would come baby-sit for this one.
I've got three games I need subs for, starting a week from now (evening of the 19th would be ideal), and lasting until the 27th, when I return from camping.
There's DawnoftheMorning (This game). This one is the most involved, and the one I most need a sub for!
There's LazyDays, I'm playing LA Arco. It's a small map, approaching mid game, I suppose. Really just need someone to babysit this one, as nothing complicated is going on. Small map, very slow pace, easy work. CBM 1.6
There's Nations, where I'm playing MA Ulm. This one is a bit of a crazy game due to a custom mod with a lot of changes (CBM 1.6, magic capped at 6th level, no indies, and some others). I understand that another mod package can be a pain, but you do get to check out the map, which I crafted
If anyone can take over one or more of these games a week from now, send me a PM.
Thanks!
Could I get a 24 extension? Due to some unexpected events in my personal life, compounded by a hard drive failure, I have not had much time to look over Sauro's turn.
Fine with me. Thanks for taking over for him btw.
I postpone 12 hours. I can get the turn done this evening after work.
Anyone else getting a 'wrong turn number' error?
Bizarre.
Weird!
Did you do a rollback for some reason Wonderloss?
Nope you didn't, but somehow the turn is back on 47... We'll get to the bottom of this eventually I suppose.
It matters not at all to Ulm, but I would guess some of you in the thick of fighting may or may not like the random roll back.
yes, llama wants turn 47, it already sent me turn 48.... did someone cast a 'wish?' LOL.... ( or is that backwards..?)
Fighting? No, not really, my armies just go in and get killed - don't even kill any of the enemy. Just so polite.... wish it were different, oh? it is? LOL.
really, rollback or not, is fine by me...
That is strange. I sent a PM to llamabeast.
A real rollback is accompanied by a message from llamaserver.
I also just noticed the turn is past due, and the server has not updated. I am going to postpone hosting so it does not somehow host again without any turns submitted.
Perhaps, if nothing else, he would be able to reprocess the turn with the previously used .2h files. It might not give the same results, due to the RNG, but it would still be better than resubmitting turns.
