Good luck.

AV, please keep us informed!
First thank you all very much for your thoughts and prayers.
For the last two nights Charley got to come home at night and then has gone back to the vet to stay on an I.V. during daytime hrs.
So thay closed today at 12:00 noon so Charley is with us till monday morning he is doing much better but not quite out of the woods yet.
Thank you all again it has meant alot to both me and my wife!!
A/V
As long as things aren't so ... ruff.
You just made a lotta folks happy, Harley.
Thank you Seth it is much appreciated my friend!!
I just now got back from the vet (had to pick up my cat's phenobarb for his seizures) and was thinking about your pup, Harley. Really glad to hear Charley's doing better, my friend!
I hope Charley will get better. I know if something happened to our kitties we'd be devastated!
Parvo is preventable, there is a vaccine against it. I don't know if you're aware of that, but it's really important that they get the vaccine along with rabies and other problems. I'm so sorry that your Charley is sick and I will be praying for him. I love my dogs, they're my babies! I lost a Jack Russell terrior a few years ago, he broke his back. It took me a year and a half to get over that one! Still hurts to think about it!
PS I now have a min pin that looks just like Charley, just a whole lot smaller!
Glad things are better, Harley!
It'll just keep getting better Harley. Time and patience. Little bit here...little bit there....it all adds up.
that's positive news.... I'm sure being at home will also give him a boost.... give him a good dose of fight.....
we've all... or mostly all.. been there with our much loved companions and know exactly what you're going through... and feeling deeply for you and your family... hopefully... not long now til he's home for good...
and yeah... as jazzi said...vaccination is crucial... don't know about after they've had the virus though.. wonder if that now gives Charlie a natural immunity.... or whether he'd still need yearly boosters...
that's great news Av I just hope and pray that he continues to get better , from what I have seen of your dog he is beautiful dog/pup , and yeah syd he will need yearly boosters for sure the vet will let the Av know I am sure.
Harley. glad he's doing better. Parvo is tough on a dog. Sad thing is, after a dog has parvo their immune system is never quite the same. But no worries, he'll live a long life... and you never have to worry about him getting parvo again!!!!
I just wanted to thank everyone verrrrrrrry much for the thoughts and prayers!!!!!!!
As far as we can tell Charley has made a full recovery and is back trying to sneak into the trash can and tormenting his big
sister by biting at her ears.
BRAVO!!!! <- Anti-Parvo Pizza for Charlie (doubt he'd like beer).
(not the part about biting his sister's ears... bad boy! )
Now THAT'S some great news!
Life always needs some good news. So glad for you and your family. [e digicons]:karma:[/e]
Good news, Harley! I'm happy for you and the family, my friend...
So very happy to hear that your puppy is doing so much better! You guys must be pretty dog gone happy!
SUPER CHARLIE!
The AVMAN...
My prayers go out to your dog Charley and hopes that he will get well soon!!! I understand your love for animals and grew up with two dogs as they are both gone now. One of old age and the other of cancer. I now have three cats and I am pretty sure one of them will not last much longer though she is doing good now. She will be 16 June 1st. That will be 80 in human years. Add 3 years every year after that. One of my other cats has a life long illness called FUS and almost died from it twice and is on special food for the rest of his life and the other one eats it as a precaution so he does not get it too. If Charley does happen to take a turn for the worse and does pass away there is a site you might want to visit called the Rainbow Bridge. I told Uvah about it. The address is http://rainbowbridge.com. It is a site for animals who have passed away and you are able to put Charley on that site and they have a candle light ceremony every Monday night. Read the poem on their site. I think you will really like it AVMAN. Uvah did. He had a cat that has died. Great big hugs for you and your two dogs AVMAN. I really hope Charley gets well soon!!!! Remember AVMAN... if Charley were to pass away... You never lose the one you love as long as you love the one you've lost.
