I have seen this discussed here a few times, and purchased it recently. I think some others might as well. If there is enough interest, I could start a PBEM game on llamaserver. Info on llamaserver can be found here.
Newbie--5 or fewer MP games. Can be adjusted if needed if there is not enough interest.

BTW wonderloss, if you are still serious about a LA game, I would participate. I have never played a MP game in LA.
Also, there is 3.27 patch for the game. What do we do, update or stay on 3.26 for this game? It's mainly bugfixes.
Message from llamaserver
You can still send in turns as normal (with either the new or old version), and the LlamaServer will process the backlog when it has been patched.
Before you update your copy, make sure to backup your entire Dominions directory. You may find you will still nee d the old version available for a few days for other multiplayer games you're in.
I would recommend updating. It sounds like it is not too critical for everyone to have the same version, though I will check to be sure. I will probably update after the receiving the first turn from the updated llamaserver. Most likely not an issue here, but if anyone is in multiple games, and some are not updating, I believe you can install multiple copies of Dominions and have different versions.
As far as the LA game, I am still interested. Maybe I will try to recruit on shrapnel. It would still be the "relaxed schedule" mentioned previously. I will have to consider how best to do the settings to keep it from dragging on too long without making rush nations too powerful. I know I mentioned faster research, etc. before. Perhaps tougher indies as well. If I decide to go with it, I will post a link here. Right now, this game is taking up a lot of my available gaming time.
Yes, kama, I was referring to you for the time delay. I get concerned when it gets near the deadline. I would hate for my inevitable victory over you to be tainted by a critical stale If 48 hours is enough, then I will leave it.
There is no need to fear, wonderloss. If your so-called ineviteable victory ever comes, I will be first to congratulate you and commend you on your skillful play. I am not a sore loser, as some, I might add. However, as an old proverb says, let's not pull the pants down while the river is still out of sight.
Fear is irrelevant.
Soreness is irrelevant.
The river is irrelevant.
Resistance is futile.
Recruiting for the Late Age, relaxed pace game here.
Note: if you are not a member of the Shrapnel forums, you have to wait for them to validate your account. If you are interested, but not signed up over there, you can send me a PM here.
Okay, I have signed up there for Jomon. I was tempted to take Ermor, but it's a bit too cheesy choice, I want to play a more conventional nation for a change. Plus, I love the ninja
Due to vacation plans, I will have a couple of days over the next few weeks where I will not have reliable access to the computer: July 5 & 6, and July 12-14. Depending on where the turns fall, I may need to postpone hosting during those time periods.
Okay, you're the boss anyway
Postponing 4 hours. I am running behind this evening.
Take your time, have a nice, quiet dinner with your girl, watch the sunset in quiet solitude, take a walk by the shore maybe... but most importantly... say goodbye to your legions
RuelKB was called into work today. Postponing 4 hours, per his request.
... and shortly after the Pangaean invasion into our lands, the flames of war raged in full, leaving the lands south of the lake of Vastness scorched and scared by magical fire and lightning, crops trampled by hoofs and heavy military boots alike. People fled their homes and hid in the mountains, but many of them never returned, so it's entirely possible they met a fate far worse than death on the battlefield.
It has been rumored that Hinnom Kohens started to lure the astral beings from beyond the Veil into enemy lands, to prey upon the enemy armies and people, but I hope these are just rumors. It's written that beings beyond the Veil have their own incomprehensible motives, and will feed on the life of friend or foe alike. The forest are no longer safe to hunt and forage, and people prefer hunger to threading among the treacherous ancient trees. Some even say that enormous, smelling beasts of vines and bones, smelling of decay, have been seen roaming the woods. During the night, howling scares cattle in villages, and some of it sounds much worse than simple wolves.
The southern Umidor Mark has been completely overrun, the castle lost, and of the expedition army, only tattered remains returned.
On the west, however, our army supposedly achieved multiple victories, liberating beseiged Zeburia and reconquering some of the lost lands. Some of the combatants returned to celebrate to Gehenna, boasting about their deeds of valor on the battlefield, showing fresh scars and also strange wolf-like talismans - apparently taken when looting the enemy commanders. These talismans must contain some strange, twisted magic, because their owners soon started to behave like actual wolves - growling and angry at the slightest provocation, some of them even disturbed the peace of the Palace and many guards had to be summoned to put them down. While these veterans are officially proclaimed heroes and given titles and riches, common folk fear them. However, their return sparked a peculiar fashion wave among the decadent, spoiled rich Gehenna youngsters, who come to feasts painted as wolves, and howl and fight while drunk.
We can only hope that swift victories will be achieved soon, because this constant war drains the strength from our lands faster than sun drinks the morning dew from the blades of grass.

Apologies LordXia, for the accidental sieging of your castle. We were filming a new movie, and the actors got a bit carried away.
SAG messengers have been dispatched bearing remuneration.
Angelina Jolie, pretender god of Agartha
Postponing 24 hours, due to previous mentioned vacation.
Quoting wonderloss, reply 546The giants claim to be civilized, but their lands are only used to grow people as cattle to satisfy their on perverted appetites. The humans in their territories are viewed simply viewed as food to be eaten for the pleasure of it. There is no beauty there, only horror. The world has grown so sick of their perversions that she gives life to the dead to eliminate the Hinnom infection. Her emissaries, the normally peaceful creatures of Pangea, will not stop until the world is cleansed of their taint.
The Kohinim Council rejects with utmost resolution such vicious slander, spread undoubtedly by foreign spies. Those few among the Avvite population, who are elected to nurture Nephilim god-like powers choose their fate willingly and are viewed with respect and adoration worthy of their status. Their families are compensated for the loss and their names are written into the Scrolls to be remembered forever. No great power comes without a sacrifice, and while the Nephilim resemble gods in their might and wisdom, it's only natural they also exhibit truly divine appetite. We often hear the misguided followers of the false religions to claim they want to "become something part of something greater"... well, what other culture gives the people so literal and tangible possibility to fulfill such a dream?
Roleplaying completely aside, allow me to say this:
What a spectacular bloodbath!
I really don't know how this gonna end, but I am enjoying every turn!
Sorry, guys, missed a turn. Not like I can do much anyway but I apologize for making you wait.
ghostwes - no problem, I tried to PM you, but it was obviously too late.
I am vacationing this week. I should be able to get another turn out before I leave tomorrow morning. After that, I will not be able to do another until (hopefully) Thursday night. I will delay hosting appropriately.
ghostwes
You know your situation better than anyone else does, but if you do not feel you can mount a comeback at this point, going AI would be acceptable. We know you have been trying to fight to the last.
Of course, if you have some last ditch effort that might take out a huge chunk of Lanka's army with you, I would not mind
I don't know what you people are talking about -- I still intend to win this game!
To the death, I say!
To the death, indeed. And so leaves the great Hef, last of the Ancient Smiths, after sallying forth from the gates of Ermor. Valiantly he stood when everyone else fell under the blades of monkey demons, but in the end, his blood quenched the eternal thirst of the scorched, dry land of the Lake of Vastness shores. And so passes the pretender who out of his pride did not want to pay a tribute of ten pearls, choosing to pay with his kingdom instead. May his fate be a lesson for the generations to come.
The last turn was a bit too close for comfort. I had more than 75 minutes when I started planning my turn, but in the end, I sent it at 23.04 CET, and new turn was generated 23.05 CET. I was praying real hard for the mail to arrive successfully, and indeed it did - but I did not even received the confirmation.
I am used to check all the unit formations, update spell scripts with recently researched novelties, reformulate plans, etc. I am now nearing to 2 hours of entering the moves and micromanaging everything. Insane.
Do we need to go to 72 hours?
Not for me, I will just have to plan my time better. 2 days are sufficient for me, I just started making the move too late.
