I have seen this discussed here a few times, and purchased it recently. I think some others might as well. If there is enough interest, I could start a PBEM game on llamaserver. Info on llamaserver can be found here.
Newbie--5 or fewer MP games. Can be adjusted if needed if there is not enough interest.

Hey! That crusade was noble and virtuous and the will of the divine!
Though I do take all responsibility.
I blame it on the S7 pretender with a +2 penetration item being unable to land a single Mindhunt....
One-eyed giants may be comparatively squishie in melee but with the casters having a MR of 18 they laughed at my feeble Mindhunt attempts. Or maybe its because they have no brains and are just stupid!
Ha! even in death I still land critical smack talk blows
Hail Arcosphale!
The Monkey Spirit is pleased to announce a victory over the enemy army at Zanthrast. Ermor's army fought well and destroyed our undead horde, but they faltered against our elite demon backbone. The mighty fortress at Zanthrast is within our grasp, and soon our forces will turn their gaze south towards the countless hordes of Pangaea.
Looking at the graphs, Pangaea obviously has a population boom problem that got way out of hand. In such cases, an external assistance is often required, and us, being good neighbors, are ready to step in and set things right.
The numerous denizens of the very fertile nation of Pangea must relocate into other territories to spread out their population. We apologize to any displaced persons.
BTW sorry, guys, I know that I am the last now, but my daughter is ill and I don't have the peace to go through the moves now. The game has become unbelievably complex, and requires a lot of consideration and focus - making a move takes more than an hour for me now.
I don't need to extend the limit, I will definitely send my moves in time, but please note that I still need a few more hours (right now I am headed for work). Thanks for you patience.
Yeah, that becomes a problem with the game starting into midgame and getting even worse into the endgame. It'd be nice if there were more interface tweaks to help with management at this stage. Thankfully, I'm not yet so large that I have to worry too much about it, but it really does take a large degree of discipline to see everything through as optimally as possible.
For example, one nice thing that could be done would be to have different army placement configurations that you can switch back and forth between, at least in the same army depending on what you're expecting to fight.
Switching from peaceful expansion to gearing up for war probably tripled the amount of time it takes for a turn. Changing my strategy from moving one or two expansion parties, recruiting a few units, with an occasional forge or search order thrown in to "move these guys here, set these orders for these troops, these spells for this caster. I will move here, no here. Should I defend here, or try to take these provinces?"
It has gotten more interesting, though.
edit- The other interesting thing about dominions is getting a new turn, seeing the score graphs, and trying to piece together what happened without seeing the actual turn.
Well, the turn's finally in, first maenad blood drawn, I'd say it's a beginning of a rather enjoyable tango, I think. And the tempo will be only picking up from here on...
The denizens of Pangea rush from the forest, pouring out over the territories of the giants. Some gains are made, though there are some small losses. The giants are not unbeatable. The towering Sons of the Grigori can be seen on the outskirts of Pangea's heartland. What doom awaits them if they step too far in?
Straight from the llama's mouth:
I only hope no one's gonna get stalled. I sent in my move properly, but losing important territories due to a technical hitch would hurt.
According to llamabeast, admin commands are processed first. I just postponed hosting for 10 days. That means if there are any hiccups with turns getting in, there will be plenty of time to get them sorted out. I also turned off quick host, so I will need to manually restart the game to get it to host before the 10 days are up. Theoretically, this will prevent any problems.
I have been mulling over an idea for a game. I want to play LA R'yleh in a game, but I do not have the time for another game with daily turns. I think a "relaxed schedule" game might work. It would be one turn a week (though I imagine it would go faster for the first few turns). Small game-6 players, 12 provinces per player, to keep it from dragging on too long with the slow pace. If any of you might be interested, let me know and I will start a new thread.
Server is up, but I have received errors. pls dont start processing yet, I will resend the correct 2h file and let you know
Okay, I resent the correct file, I checked it, all seems okay. Green light from me.
The citizens of Pangea rejoice at this day. Hanan'el, Son of Azazel has been slain in an assault on one of our fortresses. The generals of Pangea provide extra wine rations for everyone.
Hmm, I seem to recall there being a bounty declared on him. You should collect!
Postponed 6 hours, since deadline is approaching.
With the greatest sorrow, the Council and whole Hinnom kingdom mourns the passing of the Great Henan'el, who faced alone an overwhelming army of undead vine abominations that crawled out of the shades of the Pangaean jungles. During his life, he was like a shining star whose light was unbearable to mere mortals. In battle, he was like a tornado, like a living flame sowing death whenever he waded. Towering above the battlefields, his hand was firm and unwavering, his eye was sharp and few who faced his wrath lived to tell the tale. He was slain by a treacherous magic, by unnatural darkness that blinded his eyes, and by a sleep-inducing poison that stole strength from his limbs.
He will be mourned, he will be sorely missed, and he won't be ever forgotten. But for now, the unholy, wild Pangaean hordes breached our first line of defense and are spewing into our beautiful, cultivated lands like a putrid sewage. Every man able to wield a sword or spear is called into battle, every beast who shares our fate, every demon who forged a pact with us is summoned to stand by our side in this dire hour.
The giants claim to be civilized, but their lands are only used to grow people as cattle to satisfy their on perverted appetites. The humans in their territories are viewed simply viewed as food to be eaten for the pleasure of it. There is no beauty there, only horror. The world has grown so sick of their perversions that she gives life to the dead to eliminate the Hinnom infection. Her emissaries, the normally peaceful creatures of Pangea, will not stop until the world is cleansed of their taint.
Postponed 6 hours, deadline near.
There have been a few close turns lately. Do I need to extend to 72 hours?
I must say, I really enjoy reading the stories you all write here. Even though I'm not playing, it makes for good reading
A faint whisper is rumored to have been heard in every capitol castle. How can it be the voice of the long doubly dead Yomi Pretender? It seems so. Words, almost beyond the edge of hearing by mortals seem to be heard:
"The spirits of the Yomi welcome the great and brave spirits of the Areoseophale to the world beyond. Here there is peace, and no yucky giants. Be welcome here."
As quickly as the voice is heard, it fades in the gentle evening breeze, leaving no trace of its passage.
Wonderloss - I know you mean me, and I apologize for taking so long last few turns, but there are really some tough decisions and as a chess player, I am used to spending my allocated time to think all the options. You don't have to prolong the time allocation per move - at least not for me, I always have in mind the deadline and I think I won't ever forget to send the turn in time.
