I have seen this discussed here a few times, and purchased it recently. I think some others might as well. If there is enough interest, I could start a PBEM game on llamaserver. Info on llamaserver can be found here.
Newbie--5 or fewer MP games. Can be adjusted if needed if there is not enough interest.

Welcome aboard, MC. I suspect you just inherited a bunch of moderately starved mercs and a giant bookcase with countless tomes on the most esoteric subjects. Make good use of it!
Concerning Agartha - he is building an autistic kingdom in the very south-eastern corner. You must look hard though - it's easy to miss, most of it is underground
Angelina Jolie of Agartha believes in peace first. Only if peace fails will she send in her giants, fire elemetals, earth elementals, and umbrals. So far, relations have been equitable with both my neighbors T'ien Ch'i and Arcosephale. I have also briefly shared a border with a sight-seeing army from Pangea, but they were just passing through.
(Apologies for the lack of roleplaying, but I've overextended myself. I'm not exactly *struggling* to get my turns in, but I don't have as much free time now as when the game started. Note that I'm in no way considering leaving, you guys have been a great group of players, but I haven't been able to expostulate as much as I otherwise might.)
Yea, the Pale Ones are good neighbors, they don't play loud music after 8pm and they never cut up the kids Nerf balls if they land in their yard.
Well, I haven't conquered half the known world like you!
Question about the rules of the game - when building castles and labs and temples, does it matter if I have a lonely guy doing it, or a whole army? Common sense indicates armies should build faster, but castles have fixed build times in the manual. I know for sure that in sieges, the speed of destroying/repairing the walls depends on the size/quality of the armies.
A little off-topic - be sure to try a new game called Frozen Synapse. I found it to be absolutely marvelous, simple gameplay reminiscent of the golden 90s with sleek interface, a dash of cyber mumbo-jumbo thrown in for style and flavor, and excellent multiplayer. Thumbs up!
A single commander builds as fast as if the same commander has soldiers. I think its better for game-play if it takes a set time irregardless of the number of troops as it can be a decision will you have time to get a fort up before the enemy comes visiting. The risk is in losing the gold invested.
For siege, the more the better and each unit counts as doing 1 damage (if sieging) or 1 repair (if sieged). Flying troops count as better than non-fliers (+1 per troop for repairing or tearing down) and mindless troops are only 10% effective for repairing walls, not too sure if also 10% for tearing them down. Some troops, such as most EA Agartha troops, have a bonus to tearing down walls. Some give a bonus to repairing walls. The "Wall Shaker" magic item gives a commander +50 to tearing walls down.
Reports are coming in of monkeys swarming into people's homes on the look out for virgin women. At first the populace became quite upset at this new development, but then the Monkey Spirit, in his infinite wisdom decided that a tax break would be acceptable recompense for the loss of people's daughters. The population has taken to this new proposal rather well and no longer show any overt signs is of unrest.
What shall be the fate of those poor women one wonders?
If the purpose of your invasion of Ermor is to look for virgin women, I think you will be disappointed. After last month's orgiastic harvest festival in honour of Hef, I'm not sure that we have any more.
I will soon be away from any computer access, and I will not have access before the turn is set to host. Since Michael has not yet submitted a turn, I am going to postpone hosting 4 hours. Michael, please let me know if you have received the .trn file or if you are having any problems.
I have not received the file, have PM'ed you to confirm the email address.
You can go to this URL:
http://www.llamaserver.net/gameinfo.cgi?game=Elementalists
and ask for resending of the turn file.
I just did that for you, the .trn file should arrive to your mail account (provided wonderloss updated the Arco mail contact).
Let it be known to all that the Kohenim Council revokes the non-agression pact between the kingdom of Hinnom and Ermor. In three turns from now, all men, giants and beasts able to stand in battle lines are called to raise their hands, weapons, paws, tentacles and claws against the decadent followers of the new, jealous and malevolent god, whose perverse teachings are a mockery to our Grigori ancestors and whose intolerant and twisted followers swarm across the land like locusts.
Let these blasphemous words be erased from the minds of men, let their arrogant and decadent temples lie in ruins, let their false pretender's blood wet the bodies of their dying soldiers, let Omniphagus emerge from his ancient prison and devour them all, so that their very existence is forgotten forever.
Once again, Hinnom marches to war!
Email updated. Turn resent. Let me know if it works.
Hosting postponed 24 hours.
So... a day off? Great, I am finally going to get some work done, instead of thinking about my Dom3 plans all the time
Received the file, need some time to think of my actions.
Why did the chicken cross the road?
Because its other buddies died and it failed its moral check.
I guess everyone is taking a day off.
I think I saw a tumbleweed blow across the thread.
Everyone deserves a day off from time to time.... I will miss the posts here.. (sad).
Looks like Abysia is dead... Thanks for playing, Emerson. Hope to play with you again some day.
Indeed, we lost most ignobly, with our Prophet fleeing the field of battle rather than putting up a last stand against the marauding elephants of Marverni.
Alas, Agres will have to wait until the death and overthrow of the next god before he can ascend to his rightful place.
The Council has heard the news that came across the Bay, and will honor the memory of the fallen Abyssian kingdom as customs dictate - with prayers and incense. The Abyssian flame comes from the fiery depth of the world itself - it can grow dim at times, but it can never be extinguished altogether.
Anyone interested in a a new, noob game of Dominions3? Probably should start a new thread of this, but that is after I finish cutting the grass. After reading this thread i was inspired to find my dominions3 disk and thick spiral rule book. Send some pm's,we shall see if we can get a party together.
Troops have been gathered, virgins sacrificed, demons summoned. Our generals are equipped and the fodder have been prepped. The dead have risen, and our people howl as the war machine is running at full force. The invasion of Ermor starts next month, when the troops will be given the order to move. The bloodlust has set in, and one way or another, it needs to be quenched.
How will our blood crazed monkey demons stand up to the mighty legions of Ermor. Stay tuned to find out!
We are not concerned. Ermor's tower shields were designed to repel arrows but I am sure they will work just as well against monkey poop.
I would love to play, but right now, I am spent, the game quite demanding in terms of time invested into studying spells, unit stats, scheming, planning, etc. This is my third MP game - I don't know if I still qualify as n00b for your purposes.
I am interested, but I am waiting to see if my other game picks back up soon. It has dwindled down to a turn every two weeks. If the admin does not adjust the hosting time soon, I may find a sub. If the admin does step up the hosting time, my C'Tis lizards will probably be crushed by Ermor's hordes soon.
