This is absolutely absurd, developers. Absurd. What's even more absurd is that the computer is so utterly incapable of building themselves a quality army, that I OBLITERATED THESE 86!!! UNITS WITHOUT A DAMN SCRATCH.
Can we please have a limit on the number of units in a battle against a city?
|I have had several 'battles' using my single sov kid with best armour, enchanted bow and all magical accessories wipe out up to 94 company defended cities in (when I was playing as a kingdom) an empire turf with fortifications, and most if not all the opponents were not individuals, but 9 unit companies, and the biggest issue is that ONLY the eight units immidatly around the kid could attack it other than the very few ranged units, actually had MORE hard hitting ranged units back in beta 4

I had one of those a few versions back. It was great! And much better than 8 little battles against 10 units would have been.
Instead of capping army sizes in cities, raise the cap on army sizes in the field, since the computer can obviously handle it.
this is both funny and disturbing.
Mainly it illustrates the AI's shocking lack of ability to build even a halfway decent army.
They prefer instant gratification over long term power. They build epic quantities of crap, rather than mustering their resources to build quality, large groups of well-trained, well-equipped troops. And, while quantity has a quality all it's own, an avalanche of crap is still crap.
and just last night one of the kids(battle rating only 320) had a battle against 94 single troops(city battle rating was approx 700), NOT EVEN A SINGLE party or squad or even a company, and as usual it was as a kingdom in empire turf with a fortified city, the kid was armed with a cedar long bow, master heavy plate helm,armlets,thighguards and curriass and all available magical accessories, and wiped out the entire city defences in only eight turns (for for the defenders and four for me, the tactics used were kill all within their movement range of me AND all range attack units, then whittle the rest down as they run toward me.
and in the entire battle there was only 10 attacks on the kid which were all dodged or blocked.
pitiful defence of a city, admittedly against monsters & ruffians it probably would have won, but against me & my kids no chance.

there is obviously a glitch here, but I would like to experience it before they correct it (if they correct it ? )
