For all you Star Wars fans, I've finished off the latest version of a mod which adds the Alliance and Empire as new races. This is a playable versus the existing Tech/Advent/Vasari races, and balanced against them.

In many cases yes. If you get crashes randomly after a certain period of time (I.e. not building a certain ship), then this is usually the case. That said there is a rare crash bug that occurs say 1 in 20 games (for me anyways) in the first few minutes, but I have been unable to track it down because its before an autosave so I can no longer examine the map that caused it. But if you're getting it consistently I'd reduce your graphics details, and if you can at least play longer that was the issue.
If you continue having issues please say which version of Requiem you have as well.
I just turned all settings down to Medium and that seems to resolve the issue. Too bad I can't enjoy high quality models now, but I'm very happy it runs. The music, the ships, the sounds... sooooooo good.
I'm still playing my own modified version of the entrenchment 2.8, so I haven't downloaded the newest version for diplomacy....but I was wondering if there are any new ships in 3.5 that I don't have in 2.8 ...oh and what about the Coruscant planet textures ?
There are new ships and new planets in the 3.5 beta (though some of them are lacking polish as its a beta). Also unique research trees were added in 3.4. The closest thing we have to Coruscant is one of the Industrial planet textures from Sins plus (from the Urban planet), but I think it looks pretty close.
I never play the mod with the original races..Is there a way to take the 3 original races out of the game , or to make the game not load them ? My pc isn't that good and I need all the memory I can get...I was thinking about opening the entity.manifest and delete all the tec, vasari and advent ships lines ...will that make the game not load the original ships files and free up some memory ?
Assuming the ships' mesh and texture files are not in the mod's files, than yes it would I believe.
I can't say I've tried it, but yes it could work. Make sure you remove the TECH, PSI and PHASE entity.manifest files from the manifest too. You may want to leave the TEC structures alone, as some of them are used by the Star Wars factions.
oh and a small problem about the ingame menu...is is suppose to have only singleplayer / multiplayer / ironcladonline / options / ? there is no quit button..so every time I want to exit the game, I have to disable the mod...it plays great, no crashes, no minidumps, only the menu is screwd up
Sounds like you didn't update your game to version 1.34 yet, or that you didn't get the latest patch for Requiem 3.4.
