The time of Diplomacy is over. The length of the war and differing opinions on what should be done to bring the war to an end has led to a splintering of the groups involved. The controlling powers-that-be have depleted arsenals and seemed to have exhausted all efforts of diplomacy. Trapped in a stalemate, sub-factions have rebelled and broken off the main alignments. Rebellion is upon us.
The exciting next chapter in the awesome Sins of a Solar Empire universe has arrived. A full-fledged expansion to the original, Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion draws you even deeper into the galactic struggle for supremacy with appealing new factions, terrifyingly cool new ships of all sizes, enhanced lighting and particle effects for increased visual pleasure and all-new victory conditions.
“Rebellion is the first stand-alone expansion to the Sins of a Solar Empire universe,” said Brian Clair, director of publishing for Stardock. “Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion will add many new ships, refresh the visuals and integrate Impulse::Reactor features to support achievements, multiplayer leagues and much more.”
In the original award-winning Sins of a Solar Empire, developed by Ironclad Games, you are the leader of one of three civilizations embroiled in a galactic war, fighting for survival of your entire race against relentless foes. Your success will depend on your ability to manage your empire and command your vast fleets of starships to victory. Players will colonize new worlds, develop extensive trade networks, conduct research, fortify their empires with powerful starbases and fleets of ships, plus control the galaxy using the unique diplomacy system that reacts dynamically to the players’ actions.

It'll be like Retribution, so if you don't want to play anything now, you'd be better off waiting until Rebellion is released.
Thank's thats just what I wanted to know, so now I'll just wait and pre-order it rather than buy Trinity.
What i want to see in next Sins of A Solar Empire addon on TEC race:
Thanks.
MacGyver
Pre-Orders are live!

Got it.
So will there be another option for people who have trinity or that is it???
ya... the site is a little.... wierd looking.
Anyway, i think I am going to wait till the beta comes out (THRUSDAY!). That way i dont get a suprise charge, and you all dont get the monies till the beta comes out anyway.
Well at least you're a nice capitalist.
it's $30 upgrade and $40 standalone. Kinda steep...
Its better than them offering no discount at all.
It's a tand alone dude. Meaning if people dont have sins at all they can buy this and get into it. This could essentialy veiwed as Sins Of a Solar Empire 1.5 until we get Sins 2 a few years from now.
Int he upgrade to entrenchment and diplomacy we lost a few people each time. Hopefully this will gaint hem back. It's the reason behind a stand alone.
So is the beta out? Is it included with the update to diplomacy I just saw on impulse?
Um, no. The game is still in Alpha stage I think.
I wondlnt mind free comtribution to alpha stage honestly.
"The serial number you have entered is not a valid serial number for Sins of a Solar Empire or any of its expansions."
...
Whats wrong?
I use my Trinity Key when i view my Registration.
How does one obtain the discount? I haven't come across a page that allows me to enter my Diplomacy registration and the "Upgrade from a previous version" text in the store isn't a link?
https://www.sinsofasolarempire.com/upgraderebellion.aspx
Not sure where JohnJames got it from but it works.
Brilliant thanks, pre-ordered now
So i'm the only one who have this Problem?
My Code looks like this: *****-*****-*****-*****-*****-*****
I didn't preorder yet but....
You don't obtain a discount with coupon (that is aditional discount if you got have coupons).
How I see it is that you go to the store
then click button UPGRADE (not button pre-order) then click buy now button. On next page there is option for you to write coupon code if you have any to get additional discount and/or click checkout. It throws you to page where you need to log in with impulse login details and that gives them your account details on which they can check if you have previoust SOASE products and if you are eligible for discount that is offered to people who dot trinity.
Nothing ...
After Upgrade:

If you have not registered your copy of Sins of a Solar Empire or its expansions, please enter your serial number in the form below and click the Register Serial Number button. Upon a successful registration, you will see any available offers for Sins of a Solar Empire - Rebellion."
I enter my Trinity Code and again:
"The serial number you have entered is not a valid serial number for Sins of a Solar Empire or any of its expansions. Perhaps you have entered a serial number from a different product. Please check your registrations and verify you have the correct serial number. If you are unable to register your serial number you can clear the field and continue with the creation of your Stardock.net account and then contact support@stardock.com for further assistance."
I would send an email to sales@stardock.com or support@stardock.com and they should be able to figure out why it's goofing up.
Rebellion is currently pre-alpha. There won't be a beta release until later this year (think months, not weeks).
Okay, Mail at the Support is out. =/
SGI is going to Rebellion as soon as it is out, this is going to be great
