The time of Diplomacy is over. The length of the war and differing opinions on what should be done to bring the war to an end has led to a splintering of the groups involved. The controlling powers-that-be have depleted arsenals and seemed to have exhausted all efforts of diplomacy. Trapped in a stalemate, sub-factions have rebelled and broken off the main alignments. Rebellion is upon us.
The exciting next chapter in the awesome Sins of a Solar Empire universe has arrived. A full-fledged expansion to the original, Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion draws you even deeper into the galactic struggle for supremacy with appealing new factions, terrifyingly cool new ships of all sizes, enhanced lighting and particle effects for increased visual pleasure and all-new victory conditions.
“Rebellion is the first stand-alone expansion to the Sins of a Solar Empire universe,” said Brian Clair, director of publishing for Stardock. “Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion will add many new ships, refresh the visuals and integrate Impulse::Reactor features to support achievements, multiplayer leagues and much more.”
In the original award-winning Sins of a Solar Empire, developed by Ironclad Games, you are the leader of one of three civilizations embroiled in a galactic war, fighting for survival of your entire race against relentless foes. Your success will depend on your ability to manage your empire and command your vast fleets of starships to victory. Players will colonize new worlds, develop extensive trade networks, conduct research, fortify their empires with powerful starbases and fleets of ships, plus control the galaxy using the unique diplomacy system that reacts dynamically to the players’ actions.

Wow. That's pretty depressing.
So, once again we have a situation where it might make more sense to spend your money on one real nice video card instead of two lesser cards for SLI...
On the bright side, he's not stuck on a Socket 939 motherboard, unable to upgrade his processor to a quad core (like me).
When I bought those cards they were top of the line.... paid about 900 £ for them.
What is sad is that you need to turn off some of the hardvare to make game faster .
Certainly. Video cards are advancing much faster than engine tech (which is actually backpedaling now due to more FPS games being cross-platform). I can still run everything I've tried on a single 285 at 1980x1024, usually with most settings max/near max, with good FPS. A card that's not several years old like the 285 will blow anything out of the water, there's literally no need for SLI.
My 8800 still chugs along, taking everything I throw at it. Only the most intensive (Or poorly optimized) game slows it.
They did scale down but for my eyes on max setting crysis 2 is still by far visually best FPS i played ever. I do own all 3 Crysis games.... Perhaps they just use available hardvare in better way.
where the f .. can i prepurchase?

EXPLODING PLANETS.
The way that planets are set in maps they are not able to be 'exploded'.
I was keeping the fun going after the previous post Obviously I'm well aware that planets can't be made to explode.
This part feels to much like Civ IV. I hope they change it with Rebellion.
it would be fun to let planets explode turning them in an astroid
Look what you did Annatar...way to stir up this dead zombie idea...
it would be a nice show but because astroids are less useful it would be a bad idee to do
no, it would be an awesome idea.
