Yet I still hear console trolls try to say this. Oh, and general discussion thread; not a flamewar thread guys.
Video games are for geeks!
I dunno..Jagged alliance 2 reloaded, JA3 (about time) Witcher 2, Xenonauts...Mighty good lookin' games if you ask me.
but yeah- too many of those are multiplatform (read: console ported to PC) and I must admit, I'm far from being too earger on 75% of those games, who all look the same crap/diffrent colour
but Duke Nukem forever..WOOT!
For those who might have missed it, I was being sarcastic with the title here.
I'm mainly looking forward to the smaller studio releases myself. I've pretty much given up on any hyped big publisher release being anything but bland and generic these days. Even Diablo 3 is looking pretty meh to me at this point. After SC2, I'm not expecting anything amazing from Blizzard anymore. It's clearly Activision with a Blizzard logo stamped on the box to disguise it now. I have more faith in Torchlight 2 at this point.
dragon age two, dust, witcher 2, and elder scrolls 5 is all i want really (fable 3 is kind of a must for me)
There's a ton of good games on that list. And by good games I mean games that are "highly anticipated". By me.
Bit trollish on the thread title, lbgsloan.
I'm going to be spending a lot of money in 2011...
you know what, I maye even give dota 2 a try and the sims midevil kinda looks funny.
Lot of good stuff. Yet on the consoles, only things I'd be looking at is the new MK, and any 3d fighters. (pretty much all I own a console for is fighting games anymore, and they've been lackluster this gen)
I was unaware HOMM VI existed. You will never see me on these forums again. Goodbye.
Just kidding. I'm a big fan but the new HOMM looks exactly like V, which I didn't like becasue it was exactly like III. Seriously the combat has the strategic depth of Whack a Mole, and belongs back in the 80's.
Whoa, there's a lot of good stuff coming out that I didn't know about.
Crusader Kings 2!!!!!!!!! I love Crusader Kings! Now I have a geek boner.
Shogun Total War: only Total War I have really played. Loved it except the battles which avoided like a plague in favor of autobattle.
Might and Magic Heroes VI? Hmmm 24/7 internet connection?
Tropico 4? Damn, so old is Tropico 3 already? Now I feel lazy about buying it. :/
Sword of the Stars II: interesting. Would prefer to know more about Northstar... maybe after they release this.
Dungeons: Never played something like this so obviously, interested.
The Sims Medieval: could be something great or... it could be something just by EA. (isn't Dark Spore in the list too?)
A Games of Thrones: Genesis, interesting but it will have to be amazing to distract me from Elemental.
Dow II: Retribution: Must have. No Windows Live? More must!
Diablo III: So soon?
Grim Dawn: Keeping an eye on this one.
Torchlight II: Sell this in Impulse at day 1. Please!!! Trying to avoid Google Checkout.
Dragon Age 2: not as excited as with the first... I feel more excited for the eventual Mass Effect 3.
Need to save more money. And keep the job at all costs.
I don't have time to play games! I've barely even played Elemental. Why must you torture me so??
I like Slitherine games myself. The Field of Glory series is great (although can get expensive with all the army packs/modules). This next year promises to be a good one as they add to that series.
Honestly, who will have time to check out, much less play most of those game?
I don't know why it's so hard for me to find comprehensive lists of upcoming games (with pictures for each) on the internet. This is a great resource.
My gripe, though, isn't that I dont have time to play these games but that I can't believe there are so many coming out next year. More than a few of these are likely to be delayed until 2012 or canceled outright.
In any case, a lot of games aren't going to be here until around November of next year. And i can't stand being sold on games during the holiday season that won't be here until the next holiday season.
Judging by the list, PC gaming is defiantly dead.
Wow.. There goes about 600 bucks next year.
Some impressive titles (Jagged Alliance 3!?!)
And a few that I've been pretty excited about for a while.
Not to mention some very, very large MMO releases on PC coming. Crusakder Kings 2... I just hope, hope that they do a clean release with this one.
You realize that most of these will be pushed back to 2013 right?
PC Gaming will be dead?
Reminds me of when a console head was bragging about how the Playstation 3 was going to have a Blue-Ray player, which would make it superior to the PC. He was serious though.
In the same year I'll be playing Duke Nukem Forever, I'll also be playing The Elder Scrolls V and a Stereoscopic 3D version of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Yeah, 2011 is looking preeeeeeeeeety sweet. If we got a real Imperium Galactica III, I'd be about ready to never buy new games again.
Spy:"FACK!" .... my wallet.... oh well. Its worth it.
