Ok, so I decided to create a new Chatroom, because the old one was getting pretty....old!
Everyone may post here, as well as in the good'ol Flameroom...I mean, Chatroom
I would like to keep this Chatroom civilized. Well, as civilized as most forum threads are (doesnt mean that you all have to be polite like Oatesy, lol).
So for this reason, I may update the OP of this thread in the future, posting certain thread rules, as I see fit.
For now though, post away, and everyone is welcome!

Conversely and simultaneously, people are often their own best proponents.
On another note, have this delicious embedded video.
Poor seanw, we hated on him so much... (including myself, for that I somewhat feel like a total hypocrite...)
Selfishness is the motivator for everything that our society does: the market is driven by selfishness, love is mostly driven by selfishness (see the divorce rate, those who aren't divorced aren't being selfish), getting in groups to hang with friends out is selfish in that each person is bored and is looking for some kind of distraction/attention.
Despite being so selfish, we see so much of "we need to cut down on gas and save the environment" and then those same people go and cut line at the gas station when there's a shortage.
I am a hater of selfishness. I am somewhat selfish, but that is one of my primary lifetime goals: to become as selfless as possible, I help people, I give people things that they need, I try not to complain, I treat everyone courteously, and above all I try to make sure that I am self-sufficient in every possible way.
Hopefully this selflessness will lead me to a love-filled relationship with a woman whom I will love for the rest of my life, and love on into the eternities...
Maybe your relationships need a little revamping of some kind, a little kick-start. Trying to show that you are a courteous person always has interesting results (I admit that some experiences might not be as pleasant, as there will always be the pessimistic people who won't take you seriously)
But I promise that being as selfless as possible will give you a great life, as you serve you will learn the true secrets of life, as you give you will see true happiness, and as you love you will get love back.
It would seem that the embedding of this video has been disabled. CURSE YOU YOUTUBE!
Watch it on YouTube. It's awesome.
Most of the reason I don't get this is the fact that I have no idea who you're directing this at.
1. I can watch it, but not hear it, I'm in class right now...
2. EVERYONE
I think I'm the fictional beast. And I think your right, humans are way more evil than me... wait, what?
HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE???
...
Godzilla cannot even barely compare to the vast ocean of societal ostracization (yes, I made up a word) and overwhelming prejudice that exists in today's society.
Godzilla kills people. As in, makes them dead and not-living.
But can Godzilla hurt people 'til they kill themselves to end the suffering?
Can Godzilla fire off a weapon capable of killing millions in the space of one second?
Can Godzilla warp your mind without coming into physical contact with you?
Humans can.
There's also a flip side, though...
Although, I don't think you made up that word...
Bah...Have any of you ever tried to use one of those keyboards that are split down the middle? It sucks...

Nope. Never have, probably never will. I'm a portable computer guy.
AND I'm a soft machine man. My mom forgets that a lot though.
Lol those bad lip reading songs are funny.
So, how art thou all?
I'm doing pretty well.
Here, have some more BLR:
If Xer0's ever around nowadays, just thought he should know that I've got WiC nowadays.
Good for you!
Seriously.
I'll pass the info along to him on facebook, Oatesy...Not that I ever see him on there anymore either...but still...
I thought that I would drop in and say hello. A few may remember me, although most will not. The last time I posted, was when I was about to go into the hospital and then nursing home for cancer treatment. That was back in 2009. I was discharged from the nursing home August 28, 2010 and tried to post here and it wouldn't let me, even though I was logged in.
I had chemo and radiation treatment, then I had to have cancer surgery, and ended up with a permanent colostomy.
I have two new computers: an Acer 8950G-9839 18.4 inch Core i7 notebook with 16 GB memory in it, and a Core i7 desktop that I built myself, also with 16 GB memory.
It is good to be back here.
Welcome back. I don't remember you, but then again I don't post too often so that may be why.
And guys...Xer0 disapeared from the internet...He deleted facebook, hasn't been here in months, and I havn't checked yahoo yet, but I have my suspicions...
Don't remember you ever posting in any Chatroom threads. That said, I hope that your cancer problems are laid to rest, and that you can still maintain a good quality of life.
Here, have a video:
I don't think I was around back then, but it's good to have you!
I'm sorry to hear about your problems with cancer, but it's good to know that you overcame them.
I wasn't posting to a chatroom thread, I was trying to reply to one that I did before I went into the hospital and it has been over a year since then.
Thank for that video, Whiskey. I don't care for Rock. My tastes run to Classical and New Age, instrumental only.
I was very close to death when I was taken down to Ohio State University Medical Center, James Cancer Hospital for surgery. My surgeon (a full teaching professor) told me that the tumor was the size of a grape fruit and was growing into my hip bone. Aggressive Anal cancer. The same that killed Farrah Fawcett, only I was in Stage 2, instead of stage 4.
Wow, close call then. The wonders of medical science, eh? So how'd it go from there?
You have good taste sir.
Speaking of which, excellent concert on Friday. Strauss' Don Juan, a Mozart piano concerto, and Rachmaninov's Symphonic Dances. We both thought that the Strauss and the Rachmaninov were the highlights of the evening, though.
So yeah, good concert in good company. We're definitely up for another event, so I believe I can safely say, it went well.
I spent a week in the hospital after surgery, then back to the nursing home to recover. I regained strength and energy rapidly after surgery. Most don't realize just how much of your body's energy resources a tumor eats. Malignant is bad enough. Add aggressive to that and you go down hill much faster. The four stages of cancer:
1. barely there. Small tumor at most.
2. Larger tumor.
3. It has spread to the Lymph Nodes.
4. It has Metastasized aka spread throughout the body. This is the end stage and is considered to be Terminal.
With anal cancer, the only way you know if it is aggressive or not, is to go through standard treatment (chemo and radiation). IF the tumor is still there, it is aggressive. In my case, I would have had to have a permanent colostomy anyways. The tumor destroyed my sphincter muscle. The surgical procedure is a Rectal Resection. For those who are interested, you can look up Colostomy on the internet.
Farrah died of Recurrent Metastatic Anal Cancer. She was diagnosed in stage 4, fought it into remission, and then it came back with a vengeance.
Glad you enjoyed the concert and thank you for complimenting me on my music tastes. Real music as I call it.
Ooh, I know about colostomy. I have no idea what it must be like, but know that you have my sympathy. I hope that you can continue to live life to its fullest.
By the way, question to all of you guys, are there any novels you'd suggest for me? Preferably something sci-fi, I remember reading an Asimov book called Robots and Empire and I really liked it, so maybe something in that vein? I've talked to one of my other friends and he suggested the Dune series and Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?, so, any ideas?
