Ok, so I decided to create a new Chatroom, because the old one was getting pretty....old!
Everyone may post here, as well as in the good'ol Flameroom...I mean, Chatroom
I would like to keep this Chatroom civilized. Well, as civilized as most forum threads are (doesnt mean that you all have to be polite like Oatesy, lol).
So for this reason, I may update the OP of this thread in the future, posting certain thread rules, as I see fit.
For now though, post away, and everyone is welcome!

I might by it then.
Maybe
I'm busy downloading Sims now. I have the starter pack 3..... Sims 3, high end loft and late night expansion pack.
Like I said, just starting. Not sure how good they are.... so far I believe I AM a vampire in my penthouse.. I believe.
Right, anyways on to real games.
Of course they are.... not. But they are fun to.
My wife played Sims 3 for a while.
Did she lose interest? Really,,,, she got bored or to busy, maybe.? I hope I like it. To soon to tell really.
Yeah, it's because a modder found that changing one single line in one single file removed the offline timer that crashes your game after 20 minutes of no internet and everyone started doing it anyway. So of course EA is going to say they'll look into it. This same modder also discovered and showed to the world that the only data that EA's servers actually handle is a set of raw numbers that tells your neighboring cities how much surplus or deficit power, water, trash, fire, police and medical service you have. Seriously, the servers that EA said "MUST ALWAYS BE CONNECTED" handle 6 raw numbers. 10, 5, 13, -3, 1, -4. That's it right there. It's god damned ridiculous. Now take into account the fact that most people build up 5 or 6 or 7 cities all around each other so that they are their own neighbors and the data that gets 'transferred' between cities in the region are all your own cities anyway and this data never leaves your computer.
And still the most annoying thing of all even for the people that don't have the same issues as me about all of this always connected shit, is the fact that the online only save, "to store your save in the cloud" as EA put it, would be nice except for the fact that if you spend 15 hours working on a damn sweet city and have to go do something else and you come back a day or two later to play... If you can't get on the same server that you were on before because they're so busy checking to make sure everyone is connected and not really doing anything actually useful, you don't have access to your saved game. Their 'cloud save' doesn't even cloud save across their own servers. How fucking retarded is that!?
*edit* Even Will Write bashed EA for how they've done everything.
I despise any game that requires an internet connection to play, with the exception of MMOs that are exclusively online games. It's ridiculous to have to log into the internet just to play a single player game. Like Starcraft 2 for instance. Sure, I can switch to offline mode, but I don't get updates, and I can't even switch without an internet connection because you have to log in first. Game companies are seriously about to cause some damage to the gaming community if things like this continue.
-Huzzah!
And doing away with LAN!
It's no wonder they say the PC game is dying / already dead. The industry is killing itself off with asinine and idiotic choices like that, which in the end do nothing but promote the very thing they're trying to prevent. I've said it many times before. Laws only hurt the law abiding. For everyone else, they're merely suggestions.
Principles always work better anyways.
It's getting closer to get in that monster RV. I'm only driving that thing on the highway. Damn And Sims is coming along. Gotta love it.
RVs are a nuisance. They should require a high level of driver's license but they don't so any moron can drive those things. And they are not even close to the same driving characteristics of a regular car. Oh well.
It's a 37'er. I just don't want to drive in the city. I couldn't. For real..... But, on a straight run well, who couldn't. It feels like I'm in fishbowl up there. All window.
Sounds like fun.
Uhaul would go out of business if people were required to have a better then the average class c license to drive anything more then a car or pick up truck. I used to have a class b commercial with a bunch of endorsements on it so I know the extra class work, the extra driving exam, the extra practice, and the extra behind the wheel drive test... I feel this should be standard for all drivers anyway even if it's just the class stuff and the pre drive vehicle walk. How many people check their car before jumping in and driving off? I know Ryat is likely supposed to check his work truck before leaving the lot in a manner such as this. I check my truck every single day and it only takes a couple of minutes to verify that your turn signals work, your head and brake lights work, your tires have air in them, and your oil level is good. So many people's driving issues would go away if they just took the time to respect and take care of the machine they were getting into.
I'm rambling here. Kinda drunk... That's what 4 day weekends are for anyway. Three down, one to sober up. My little girl's birthday is Wednesday too... Sweet 16... ugh....
This is why I ride a bicycle. Air in the tires, check the brakes on they way out the driveway. Gas? Nah, I'll just buy a soda.
Well it's been safetied, and renovations... getting there. I think our bikes are coming. They are a great option.
Good comments Stant not ramblings. But enough about car safety. I am going to the beach. First time for the kids and wife.
Woo Hoo, don't forget the brella. Today is going to be a very good day for Ryat and family. Have fun.
Wouldn't be practical when you have to go 54 miles each way to work and back.
Wouldn't be practical indeed. Can you imagine the size of your legs though...? woohoo
And in the heat that is in Phoenix. OMG! I'm melting!
Poor Ryat, please don't melt. We'd miss you terribly. Bet you had a great day at the beach though. It's always a little cooler by the water.
You come out to California? San Diego perhaps?
