Ok, so I decided to create a new Chatroom, because the old one was getting pretty....old!
Everyone may post here, as well as in the good'ol Flameroom...I mean, Chatroom
I would like to keep this Chatroom civilized. Well, as civilized as most forum threads are (doesnt mean that you all have to be polite like Oatesy, lol).
So for this reason, I may update the OP of this thread in the future, posting certain thread rules, as I see fit.
For now though, post away, and everyone is welcome!

No, not at all. But, I haven't shown some pics cuz of those Logos and such. It's alot of rules and regs. To long to google... I don't think I'd get arrested. Cropping it is.

Well, I like that idea. It will be wild, wild westey for awhile yet I think. And then we'll have to pay more taxes and everywhere we go on the internet will be monitered somewhere. As in "organized". C'est la vie. There are some good points.

Caught the EICAR_Test virus yesterday...? Fighting it off.

Well I have my pc back. That was rude. Hope I got it all. System restore I believe was the best anti virus. Yay!!!

Unless the virus is in your BIOS. Then bad things really happen.
Seems to be gone. I can't find it anywhere. AVG went copy nuts trying to quarantine it. I haven't run it since the system recovery. I will. Yeah it's ugly.
I once had a BIOS virus. Practically had to rebuild my entire software from the ground up.
It said eicar_test.... I'm not sure the Ryat but that sounds like a big old BIOS nightmare. I'll reinstall windows 8 first. {cross my fingers}
Tomorrow morn Kapersky Removal Tool will be first on the agenda, followed by reboot. AVG is on the itinerary. But it seems OK right now.

The EICAR Standard Anti-Virus Test File or EICAR test file is a computer file that was developed by the European Institute for Computer Antivirus Research (EICAR) and Computer Antivirus Research Organization (CARO), to test the response of computer antivirus (AV) programs. Instead of using real malware, which could do real damage, this test file allows people to test anti-virus software without having to use a real computer virus.
Anti-virus programmers set the EICAR string as a verified virus, similar to other identified signatures. A compliant virus scanner, when detecting the file, will respond in exactly the same manner as if it found a harmful virus. Not all virus scanners are compliant, and may not detect the file even when they are correctly configured.
The use of the EICAR test string can be more versatile than straightforward detection: a file containing the EICAR test string can be compressed orarchived, and then the antivirus software can be run to see whether it can detect the test string in the compressed file.
