Hey,
I have a strange black stripe, appearing in the background, if there is any other application or dock above the undermost of the screen.
It appears when I move the cursor over the dock and goes from the top of the topmost application (e.g. my cd art display or rainmeter picture show) straight to the undermost dock. its nearly transparent and as thick as the whole dock, when moving the cursor over it.
If there is only one dock or no other app, the stripe doesnt appear.
what to do in that case?
thx for helping,
Thomas
edit: sorry for false posting.
using ObjectDock Plus 2.0
At the risk of sounding stupid, the LCD and computer connections are firmly attached...?
You're welcome, Uncle Tom.
doing sports under my desk at that hour is something I dream of every night.^^
I will check this.
My USB-Hub has lost its DC somewhere in space, thats what I know for sure by now.
Once there was a warning it wouldnt have enough power to provide functionality of all the ehm things (sry) connected.
This is what i know, i ll proof the rest, one moment pls
That's special.... the stripe is on top of dock versus under it. My thoughts were leaning toward scaling..... so much for that idea.
I can give you something that will "clean" your desktop registry settings. It's perfectly safe, and takes a minute if you want to try it.
Its really funny, i indeed found my dc and now my usb-hub has power again, after months without thanks^^
But the stripe is still there. -.-
I'll try. I'll try.^^
I will have some extra coffes tomorrow mornig
ah, didnt say that everything seems to be well connected, i double checked every connection
Close the apps on your desktop, then proceed:
Download and save Cleandesktop to your computer from this link: http://www.thespykiller.co.uk/downloads/cleandesktop.exe and double click on the cleandesktop.exe
It will automatically extract to c:\desktopclean where it needs to be to run and will automatically run the cleandesktop.vbs script
If it doesn't open then go to c:\desktopclean and right click on the cleandesktop.vbs (Run as Admin)
If you have script blocking enabled you will get a warning about a malicious script wanting to run. Allow this script to run. It is not malicious.
If you get a message when you first run it "Can not find script file *.*" just double click the cleandesktop.vbs script again.
It will then kill Explorer. You will lose your taskbar and desktop. It will repair the registry entries returning your normal desktop and context menu functions.
It will restart Explorer.
oh noo, from where do u have that picture of me?
I'll do so.
fasten seat-belts please^^
that was fast...
no change here.
need to reboot?
Being the prick that I am, I get to say this so few times.......
.....I like this guy.
me likes him too.
yeah
tried something different,
told rainlender to stay top, put it nea the transparent OD Dock, and ta-taa 2 stripes...
ah oh ok sry
i do all again and reboot
no. all the same.
what ive noticed:
rainlender has no transparency on mouse over and slides back to 40% after some seconds.
when move the cursor over an icon from OD during the few moments it has no transpasrency, there is no stripe.
it suddendly appears in that moment rainlender fades out.
meee? oO
thanks guys^^
I like u too^^
I can't remember..... did you do that?
I still think the problem has to do with transparency issues/conflicts between your customization software. You probably have to decide on dock locations and rainmeter, etc. locations.
Whoops...sorry, Yrag...was typing while you posted.
No... didnt even read that sentence to uninstall it, did I, hm...
But i closed rainlender, unchecked "start with windows" and rebooted, thaught it would be the same.
Since then i only manually opened rainlender.
The stripe appears even without rainlender running...
but.... i played with this skin a little bit, made some effects and so on... kk, maybe something went wrong.
to make sure i uninstall rainlender. (and reboot)
no. nothing new here.
its strange, that only the icons of the transpareted (?) OD docks produce this stripe, when they are zoomed.
when i point just the bar or the glow effect is selected or the swing effect, nothing happens...
a good night, I'll be back.^^
And thanks again for be that patient.
