Hey,
I have a strange black stripe, appearing in the background, if there is any other application or dock above the undermost of the screen.
It appears when I move the cursor over the dock and goes from the top of the topmost application (e.g. my cd art display or rainmeter picture show) straight to the undermost dock. its nearly transparent and as thick as the whole dock, when moving the cursor over it.
If there is only one dock or no other app, the stripe doesnt appear.
what to do in that case?
thx for helping,
Thomas
edit: sorry for false posting.
using ObjectDock Plus 2.0
Sorry, Wiz. Looked like it with the Nexus thing hidden. This is a software conflict but which exactly is very hard to tell, and revolves around transparency. Could even be a windows thing. Certainly merits a bug report. Thanks for trying to help Uncle Tom, guys.
1) Oh what a night - I dreamed of the former President of the Eastern Part of Germany Erich Honecker loool - those tests here are too hard to me ^^
...and the Mao-Pic of DrJBHL, too^^ (#59)

First of all I reported this issue to stardock-support last night or this morning, I dont know... oO
Thaught of buying a new Harddisk the next days and try to find out if it is REALLY a Windows 7 Problem.
But my weekend is so filled with appointments, dont know how to make it.
I would install OD before installing any other desktop app or anything else that isnt necessary to keep the system safe.
But as I said, I think I wont have the time.
But I thaught of installing a new W7 to my system anyway, so lets see, perhaps on sunday oO Or the Tuesday after that sunday lol
Thanks for posting those two screens.
How family I feel right now
4)
What do you mean with that -> fences?
5)
How true
Yap. Thanks.
Just to keep thaughts complete:
Several weeks ago i made made some changes to minimize the Windows Media Player 12 into the taskbar:
I used this guide:
Maybe it could have someting to do with?
I dont think so, but I didnt want to keep it secret.
Thats all for now.
I think^^
Uncle Tom, Fences is another Stardock Program that organizes your desktop icons. Makes them disappear.
Sorry about not being able to do anything to help, but I really don't think you should get a new hard disk or reinstall W7 (I take it you mean format?). I wouldn't do that until I heard back from Stardock.
Ah, no, I dont use Fences.
I only mentioned that I have played so much with so many things the last 6 months, that there might be the possibility that we wont find the problem because something in the registry is wrong or such things. So this would have been a good point of time.
Personally I would feel better^^ after all this tries
And yes. Your right, spend some days, waiting until Stardocks answer.
Im always so impatient -.-
You did a lot in that issue. Help doesnt only mean to have a result at the end, altough thats the most pleasent way of help
And what the heck is this???
These are the options for the taskbar icons:
Never saw anything like that before oO
Couldnt find these files nor with w7 or jv16power tools.
(I deleted Xvis about 10(?) days ago, HTC Home Alpha, about 3 days)
Whats going on there? oO
Maybe a hint?^^

I'm surprised no one from Support has noticed this thread...
Now they did.
They got out the rubber glove and made some very intimate examinations of my computer...^^
Now pants back up and wait for next advises...
Hey guys,
Sorry, I was absent over the weekend.
The guys froms Stardock now sent this one here, after they collected several infos of my PC with a special tool.
Hello, I have forwarded your report to our Development Team for their review and recommendations. From what it looks like, this is actually a bug with DWM, specific video card drivers. There's no way to code around it, so for now, it doesn't look like there's going to be a fix, at least not right now. Please let us know if you should have any further questions/concerns.
I now have arranged everything that way the stripe nearly doesnt appear, but for me it isnt perfect, because I cannot use the docks the way I want.
What I do keep in mind so far, is the very pleasent and charming way of help I received from you.
It was nearly as good as to solve the problem with the stripe
What I have also noticed: the stripe doesnt appear over / behind the Windows Sidebar-Items. Its just not there...
I will tune in every now and then and report as soons as stardock informs me about anything.
CU guys
