Since upgrading my computer, I've been getting this error message instantaneously every time I try to log in to ICO. On my old computer, I was able to connect with no difficulties whatsoever. While I still have windows firewall enabled, several of my friends who have it disabled got the same problem when they tried to connect. A quick google search didn't really give any concrete reasons for this problem. So, how do I fix this?
Same here me and several of my friends where on vent last night and tried to log in and where unable to connect to ironclad online and where given the same error but i am only getting it on entrenchment. When i load up diplomacy it works fine and i can log into ironclad without issue. But i even reinstalled entrenchment and still the problem persists hopefully someone can help us and my friends sort this problem out .
* edit * tried resetting my router just to give it a shot since it said network error and still nothing and mi still able to get on diplomacy just fine. But it would also seem i cant connect to ironclad via original sins either can anyone tell me what the cause of this is as i have been able to find no solution on my own
Here's a tip, if your game works on one server and not the other, then it's the other server with the issue. ;] There have been lots of complaints lately about the vanilla sins and entrenchment sins servers being down or unable to connect to them, so you're not the only ones.
I thought that might well be the case but most of the time i am ready to assume user error or a connection issue on my end before i assume its the server if for no other reason then to avoid needless frustration if i find out the problem is indeed on my end. But as you have said that there have been complaints about this already then I am hoping it is indeed the serves and i am inclined to think it is sicne all my friends save 1 of them and bob here seem to be having the issue . thanks for your input stant123
I'm having the same problem also. Can't log in with Original Sins, or Entrenchment, but Diplomacy works.
Hope they fix the servers soon.
Or, maybe they are hoping that everyone will buy the expansions due to the servers being down!
This sort of thing would have the opposite effect on me. Why would I want to invest $10 or $20 more in the game when they can't keep the servers up?
It took me forever o figure out why I couldn't play ICO, and after like 2 weeks of technical support I could log in, but now it says disconnected from ICO if you guys have a concrete answer help me out
i havent played this game in a while but now that i am. i tried to go online so i joined today but i cant because of the same problem.
Do you have the latest version of the game, and are you certain that there's no firewall that might be blocking it? The servers are up right now and haven't had any downtime this weekend that I'm aware of.
Why would the latest version make a difference, the server is supposed to acommadate the previous games, otherwise what would be the point in purchasing the game at all. Do we just buy the game, only to purchase another out of the expiration of the previous version.
Most likely you have something to go against this so tell, I myself do not have enough adequate information to support this statement but if I should be correct, please inform me. Also some firewall are set up so that they inform you of the changes so I am sure, but who knows I will check your statement.

Latest patch. You can still play vanilla/entrenchment.
I bought sins when it first came out and loved it. Even played some multiplayer stuff with a buddy from work. Now a few years later im trying to get back into the multiplayer with another friend. I keep getting the Network error disconnected from ironclad message instantly. I started a ticket with stardock sales (found an email address online that was supposed to get results) and have only gotten 4 auto responses that dont help at all. Sounds like its the same problem mentioned above. I have reinstalled impulse and reset passwords, so I know the information is right. All updates have been installed. Ive checked the firewalls and sins is Allowed. Their were a couple fixes on the tech support site, but they dont seem to fix the problem were looking at. I'm getting very frustrated with stardock on this. $60 used to go a lot further.

$60 used to go further??? $60 has never gone this far with computer games. 3 and a quarter years after release and they're still making updates and providing assistance even after creating and releasing other games... This is 2011, not 1911.
So you know it's not an issue with the server or the game as your friend and his wife are able to play without issue, that would mean the issue is clearly on your end, and yet, you're still angry at them. Make absolutely sure you don't have any firewalls blocking it. Don't just assume since you didn't get any messages about it that it's working, go and check the settings manually and make sure. Hell, disable them all together and check. Also verify that you do in fact have the most recent version of the game. Vanilla Sins is at version 1.191, Entrenchment is at 1.051, and Diplomacy is at 1.21.
I already checked firewalls, have the latest updates, and done everything that these threads suggest. I just want to play the game i paid for.
Are you on a university network or similar? If so, they may be blocking the port used for ICO traffic. Otherwise, please contact support@ironcladgames.com for further help.
I had this issue once before, I solved by updating the game, worked for a few weeks now it is back and there are no more updates to maricale fix me.
Ironclad Online on Diplomacy is temporarily offline for all of us, unfortunately. The Entrenchment/Vanilla server still works though.

It seems that sins programes are very skilled... but implementaion for update seems to be outdated.
ppl on mp droping like flies. (It looked very good first day with rebelion over 100 ppl online, even JJ had a comeback.)
