Please use this thread to schedule your matches. Remember, all teams are responsible for hosting and scheduling their own matches!
There will be a need to disqualify teams that aren't making the required effort to get their games in without penalizing another team that's doing whatever they can to get a match scheduled. It's probably best if teams that are trying to organize matches go on record in the forums. For instance, if I wanted to get a game going against AtMa and Ba, I'd post something like the following in this thread:
Atma + Ba: trouser and pacov are generally available M-F from 5pm EST - 1AM EST. Please let us know if some time in that slot would work for you or recommend a time slot that works. I'll PM you in a few days if I haven't heard from you or we can discuss this on lagwars vent.
Something like that. If it comes down to disqualifying teams because they didn't get their match in, the more info and tracking you have indicating that you did your best to get the match scheduled the better.
And remember, you can use this thread, use pm's on the forums, use the lagwars vent, whatever method you want to get your games going.
So, all of that said, I'd like to kick things off and start checking in on folks availability for Saturday (10/16). Ideally, I'd like to get as many people on at the same time on 10/16 and just get some games going to kick the tournament off.

well - didn't get any tournament games going. Don't think any full teams were available tonight. I have another window of time to play tomorrow night (prob 6pm-1am est). I know soccer is free. Cow might be free - he has an exam on wed, so it really depends on how much time he can study.
If you would like to schedule a game, please respond here and we can see if we can get one in. I'm sure cow will check this thread.
As far as me and soccer go we can play tonight and I assume pacov is available.

Well, we go 2 tourney matches in tonight.
My availability this weekend (I will update after i get noms & thunder's) (all times in EST)
Friday night 8:30pm-12:30am
Saturday - maybe from 2-4p, maybe from 8-10:30pm maybe from 2or3am to 4am
Sunday - after my hangover headache subsides anytime - i will be online sporadically during the day and from 9pm-12:00am
Monday thru thursday - 9:30ish pm (can be earlier) to 12:30am
Friday - 9:30am - 5:30pm, 8:30pm - 12:30am
Saturday - nada
Sunday - 9:30pm- 12:30 am
I will probably be online tonight in 8-10 hours (oct 22) not sure about pacov and soccer though.
If we can get a game lined up, I'll make sure I can be available.
Ok all the teams that have registered need to post when they are available since a lot of you are not on vent we can't really track if you are on or not..

it is open to edit by anyone, cannot get to it by a Google search though. I thought that this would be an easy way for people to see when a team is available.
All a teams currently have the ability to edit the sheet, and put down the times they are available. I already did this.
Let me know what you think.
I also put down my Skype id, and my Google voice number. I feel safe doing this cause with both of those, I can block said people, and or just change numbers. But not everyone may feel comfortable doing this.
I guess I should put down, that we are available on saturday and sunday starting at 4:30pm pacific time.
Depending on when the technician comes over to our house, we may be available during the week, but currently my internet is down, and I am having to rely on using a friends house to play these games.

Just going to add in case dq's occur - my team and jon's team were available on Friday night (canceled plans with my wife no less...) and jon's team refused to play us (to save us for later or whatever). We've been trying to get games in every night, with little success. Don't take any offense jon, but I want tracking in place in case we can't get any matches next week - i'd think folks refusing to play against a team trying to get matches in should not result in a dq...
i think thats bs, me kalel n rawwrr had not played but like 1 game together and we played yall, with no practice. if u refuse to play a team when you are all on that should result in a dq.
There were two top teams trying to get a game going with us that night, yours and I forget whether it was Zen's or Orcun's... sorry, I figured it would work out with the two good teams playing and I believe Jongalt was more trying to set up a game with a fellow mid level team (Ruispg's?) for us to play than avoiding playing yours.
I'm sorry you're frustrated, but please consider we literally span half the globe and finding time to practice together has not been easy. Myself and my teammates have been in touch constantly via e-mail to try and carve out time in our lives to get on at the same time. When we all manage to get on at the same time for an hour or so it has been a struggle to find decent competition to practice against... some random puggers have been kind enough to get beat up by an obvious premade vent team a few times, but it really hasn't prepared us to offer any sort of competition to the tier 1 teams in the tournament.
I personally would have been happy to play you guys the other night... but would much prefer to have just conceded three games to you since we wouldn't have put up much of a fight at this point. We'd just like to get our teamwork and strategy sharp enough to at least give the tier one teams a fun match even if it ends up not being competitive.

Just because your team made a strategically *&(U&^ decision doesn't mean others should follow suit. Why would you play against one of the top 3 teams in the tournament as your first match and having only 1 game together before that? Just because they were available? I fail to see any logic in that. What two teams in the tournament have the most availability that we see everynight in vent? McOrcenz, Cowsocpac & zen's.
Besides, what you are ignorantly commenting on and as thunder kindly pointed out, i was already in a couple of discussions with other teams and one of them being yours. When i jumped on vent that night i had over 8 chat windows open up in the first minute. the TSK guys, McOrcenz team, pacov & kalel, zen my team etc. Of course, in the best interest for my team, i wanted to play anyone who wasn't McOrcenz or Pacov's team. I think it would be best to save those matches until after my team and i get a little more experience under our belt that way we can be somewhat competitive. Perhaps you should take note?
After a lack of response from TSK I told kalel that we had no problem playing your team and that's when he called you but you weren't available.
I'm glad that Pacov kindly pointed out my desire to not play them this early in the tournament, I'm wondering why though that pacov's and mchane's team didn't play? Both were available and both were in vent? Do you want them DQ'd as well Jona?
I asked pacov in game on Friday what his team was up to because I saw that they were all on and he ignored me, so we went ahead and played some random games, maybe soccer or cow were AFK. We're fine with other teams still wanting to practice but for some reason this feels like it's only a 6-8 team tournament even though I've been on pretty much all day since the tournament started. So we're going to have to get going eventually. Even if anybody wants an unofficial game let us know, we played one with with team ChiefSnakeDaddy69 a few nights ago because it was their first game and that was fun too. Just say before the match if it's business time or not lol.
We'd be happy to simulate the UB-Occ-Sedna experience of Pacov's team for you if you'd like Jon, all the better for us if you guys manage to steal a game from them.
Anybody run into the beastmode, stiffyg, and generalg team? I expected to see those guys in the mix.
I already had a nice talk with jongalt the night thunder is refering to about this and my conclusion is that I just need to relax and be a little more patient with this tourney.
So many angry posts... anyway, I'm more than happy to play any team period. But, as it stands, that means we can play mcshane's team and hope other teams are willing to play after that. This is getting a little silly. I certainly don't remember turning down any matches to anyone when my team was available. My only goal in this thread has nothing to do with stirring folks up. Just trying to make sure my team, which is making efforts to get games in does not end up dq'd. This thread is for scheduling and documenting attempts to schedule. That way, if dqs do begin, we have the info in one place and can clearly show that to the decision making panel (obviously I won't be voting on any dq's involving my team). So, after we play mcshane's team and if other teams are still refusing to play us and we are making reasonable efforts to get games in, I'd assume that my team wouldn't be penalized. Try to remember - its just a game and the goal is to have a fun tourney. No need to get personal and be a big grouch. I certainly didn't mean any slight to jon (as I indicated) when I made my post tracking that we wanted to get a game with him, both our teams were online, and his team declined.
Yeah - the only thing I regret was not being available on that first Saturday as several teams were on then... haven't seen several of the them since. McShane's team managed to knock out MANY games that Saturday if I remember right. Would have loved to get games in... still would love to get games in.
Anyway, back to scheduling - I can't speak for my team as I don't know their schedule for the week, but here's for me:
Mon-Sat - I could be on anytime between 6PM-1AM EST. If anyone is interested in coordinating a specific start time for a game, let me know. I'd be very happy to actually schedule a game.

well we need to be realistic here, if this ends up as a 10 team tournament by the end i'll be very happy. If the drop-out rate is less than 50% i would be shocked.
Of the teams that haven't played a game, the only ones who have been in contact with us are:
Max/Seb/Satilr
Aborn/Shread (dropped out )
Baddaddy/Chiefy (who are working hard getting a replacement player)
We have't heard much, if anything, from the others at all. Just based on that we are looking at 14 teams "left" in the tourney.
I would love to play against you guys [mcorcenz] for some team practice - thanks for the offer !
