Please use this thread to schedule your matches. Remember, all teams are responsible for hosting and scheduling their own matches!
There will be a need to disqualify teams that aren't making the required effort to get their games in without penalizing another team that's doing whatever they can to get a match scheduled. It's probably best if teams that are trying to organize matches go on record in the forums. For instance, if I wanted to get a game going against AtMa and Ba, I'd post something like the following in this thread:
Atma + Ba: trouser and pacov are generally available M-F from 5pm EST - 1AM EST. Please let us know if some time in that slot would work for you or recommend a time slot that works. I'll PM you in a few days if I haven't heard from you or we can discuss this on lagwars vent.
Something like that. If it comes down to disqualifying teams because they didn't get their match in, the more info and tracking you have indicating that you did your best to get the match scheduled the better.
And remember, you can use this thread, use pm's on the forums, use the lagwars vent, whatever method you want to get your games going.
So, all of that said, I'd like to kick things off and start checking in on folks availability for Saturday (10/16). Ideally, I'd like to get as many people on at the same time on 10/16 and just get some games going to kick the tournament off.

cow/soccer - its looking like we will play wednesday. haven't finalized a time yet. Can both of you be available?
I should be free after 3:00pm my time So thats 4:00pm pacov and soccer time.
5:30pm est we will be online on wednesday
we just need confirmation from soccer and we are all set for a 5:30 start time on wed.
Don't forget if you win, the championship is the very next day or the same night if it's not too late. It's not another month in between games.
Also Jona, are we doing the new mirror match rules or the original rules for our games?
We are a done deal for WEDNESDAY at 5:30PM est. My whole team has confirmed availability.
FYI - if my team f's up and doesn't show, we will take a loss to zen's team. And vice versa. We have all agreed to show up at 5:30PM (I'm off work at 5PM, so I might be a few minutes late, but normally I'm home by 5:20).
Same team goes for jona's team vs mcshane.
We all want to have great final games here, so please do your best to show up and get the games in.
And a reminder - you are all expected to use uberfix 1.03 for the final games. Install that in advance if possible and read the change log. There are a few minor changes, but I think the only thing you MIGHT care about is that you can't see the enemy teams money. And think about what you want to do - do you want to use the original tourney combos or to do you want to use the mirror match logic. Remember, if one team wants the original rules, then that is that.

edit - and though its a negative note - we WILL dq teams that don't have their games in - whether its mcshanes/pacovs/zens/jonas team. You would be wise to CLEARLY indicate what you are planning on doing here. If there is no evidence and it comes down to a panel rule, we will likely side with the team that clearly showed it scheduled and showed up.
Same thing does not go for my team time wise, but if noone comes on tmw then we are DQ'd because of their retarded asses
-.-! And noone is answering what i said in like 8 posts, we are still playing for third correct... because the way u are talking we are only doing 6 games total.
jona - as it stands, you are number 4 in the round robin. If your team loses, you will end up in forth place. My team is playing for 2nd/3rd place as that's where we ended in the round robin. If we lose, we will be in third place.
We can talk about this in detail, though, if there is any confusion and straighten things out.
Well thats kinda bs why aren't we playing for second and third? All the games we played against yall were randomn combos without practice.
Err... that isn't the way a "final 4" situation works out. Basically the round robin was done for seeding. Thus, 1 and 4 of the round robin play, and 2 and 3 play. The winners of each play each other for 1st and 2nd, the losers of each play each other for 3rd and 4th. (a total of 6 games per team)
So, Jona's team is still eligible for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place.
Otherwise, what's the point of the final 4?
Yea, there's supposed to be a bronze medal game between the losers. Think of the Olympics.

lol, I can't do Wed. You asked me about Tues in chat, your exact words were "tomorrow" and this was yesterday. I Have a 3 Hr E&M Exam Thurs Morning at 8 followed by a 3 Hr, Quantum Exam 10 mins after that finishes. There is no way I'll be sane enough the night before to play. Then I head out of town for a few days. Not sure if I'll be back by Sat or not.
well... if you can't make it, then we are dq'd or we'll have to find an alternate on extremely short notice. Let me know if you think you can pull your mind together enough to show up. Any chance you could just... study for 2 extra hours tonight? And if we do win on wed, we'd be playing the final game on thursday. Just tell me if I need to find you an alt so we can get this thing over with once and for all.
Guess you will need to find an Alt. Its not about hours of studying. its about having the concepts flowing throw my mind like a well oiled machine. And like I said, I won't be available till at least sat. cause I am going out of town for a few days, so its probably better you find sombody else. Its funny how this timing works. :/
well, cow, see if you can find someone else. I'll take a look around. I will pull someone off the street if need be, so just make sure your team is there zen.
side note - someone shoot me ffs. well, let me know if their is any flexibility in your academic regime from 5:30-7:30. Shame to waste all of this effort and time just to lose now... such is life though.
That is a shame, if you guys are really hurtin see if you can find ppapanek. He's the one guy left who I wouldn't think of it as a disaster if I had to swap one of my teammates out for him. English isn't great but he has a good stable connection(although ping is a little high) and other than sometimes playing like he has a $20 bet that no one is going to kill him twice, he is a great player. He's never on vent though so you'll have to do an in game search.
I'll hop online and do some searching as well. Doggu's probably my first choice if I can catch him - Cow - if you are online and bump into anyone particularly good, please recruit.
Or you guys should take Mith lol. Zen replaced him and suddenly he's popped onto vent, been here for the couple of hours. If he sticks around for another 4 maybe you guys get lucky and play at 8 tonight after Zen's exam is finished.
If we played tonight - we'd actually have me/soccer/cow based on their last availability updates. So, I think its zen's team that would require an alt. Obviously, I'd just like to get our game in... 1 way or the other.
