Well, needless to repeat, but the reason for this trip has happened!
A beautiful little guy has happened. He's 7.8 lbs. or 3.080 k"g for the metric world.
I'm the happiest grandpa in the world!
His naming will only be in eight days... a custom.
Because he was rather small in the beginning, and through the pregnancy his father (my son Michael) named him (temporarily) "Sumsum" which
means "sesame seed" in Hebrew.
So..... "Welcome little Sumsum!" ..... Welcome to the world! Your whole family, but especially this grandpa loves you very much!!!
To my beautiful daughter-in-law, "Well done, sweety! Thank you!!!", "Well done, Micheal! Thank you, son!"
Congratulations, GrandDoc
rustysam, B2R, Gammeldansk, sViz, Frankie, phoon, LadyX, Cars..... Thanks so much! So good to see new friends and old ones here...and where I am now.
Had lunch with my old C.O. yesterday, saw folks from my late wife's family (more tomorrow), seeing the guys I went to school with....amazing. We're all old farts, now....
Will post pics when I get back, so tag the thread... came without my trusty notebook. Sorry! He's really a beautiful little guy! I'm being objective.
Hankers, that was just plain funny! GrandDoc.... ...thanks for the smile.
Doc! Congratulations! My little guys bring me such joy; I can only imagine what joy a grand-baby would bring.
So, nobody has a digital camera? How bout a cell phone? Aww, c'mon, let's see the little angel!
Thanx, Brian and Jim...
I promised pix, and they will come! My prob is that I don't have my lappy with me...just my cam and a hotel computer everyone uses. I'd rather not give that access to a device I use with my computer at home...that's how to get a fatal bug...
So, I'll be leaving on the 22nd...patience is a virtue, bud! Sumsum's worth it! He's gorgeous!
I sure hope he don't look like Grandad!
I thought we had this conversation.....who said I was virtuous, or patient, for that matter. I want it all, I want it now!!
lol....Doc, travel safely, there will be years of good pix to come!
Not long to go now grandpa Doc and you will be home , I can't wait to see this lil gem, I have adopted him as my nephew lol what can I say babies bring out the best in me
just for you redneck lol
Congratulations! It's an awesome and wonderful thing, isn't it?
HEHEHE...now he's got his Auntie Shaunna The Pyrate Queen!
Thanks, jazzi! Absolutely the greatest...won't see him often, but when I do, I'll be stealing him from his parents and totally spoiling him!
and when you do make sure you do double ,and from his auntie shaunna too lol .....
You betcha... now go vote!!!
its done lol
Congratulations, Seth, I hope you get as much pleasure from your grandchild as I do from my granddaughter, proper job.
Hey grandpa, hows my lil man going
[e digicons]:karma:[/e] [e digicons]:karma:[/e] congrats to you DOC and all my best to your family .
Just started college at Harvard. He's a bit 'slow', don't you know?
Thanks, Storm!
Thanx muchly, CY!
what are you feeding him....
Nothing unusual.....
Mazeltov (I hope I spelled that right) Congratulations Grandpa. Also to your son and daughter-in-law. I don't have any kids of my own but I do know what it feels like to hear the pitter patter of little feet as they cross the floor up to 'Gandpa' and ask...what's a double you bee?
Thanks, Uvah!
Vegemite is the way to go Doc
yeah....vegemite will see him right....
you forgot the Lamingtons....
and the pav... though we're still fighting the kiwis for that one.....think it might just be theirs...
and of course....Anzac biscuits....
had some kangaroo snags the other day....and must say....wasn't too keen needed something....
Pavs and Lamingtons look good..... Anzac biscuits lacked a pic.... guess the 'roo snags were missing their 'hop'.
