I bought the retail sim 3 from amazon, and since Ive been having trouble with it crashing at the part where the sims actually get into thier house after I download the latest patch for it, I was trying to get it activated here and just let impulse handle the updates (hoping mine wont crash if they handle it). Anyway, the key wont work from the retail version I bought, any know what I should do?
Unfortunately we only currently support retail keys from our own games and those using GOO/Impulse Reactor.
You can however use the EA download manager.
I tried the Download Manager, it just gives the retail version, still have to patch it. I'm beggining to think its the patch itself, as whenever I uninstall the game it tells me I have expasions on my comp and they wont work if I uninstall, but I dont have any expansions. It only says that after I download the patch. Stupid patch process. Anyone know somewhere besides filefront I can download the patches incrementally? The ones on filefront give me some regional error once unzipped.
