Looks like Gametrailers just posted some new videos. Looking good.

Thank you! Here have some karma!
Looking good indeed, though the tactical battle was definitely the weakest part of the presentation. I do not wish to complain, but what's the point of introducing squads if a single soldier does the dirty job while the remaining squad-mates bravely watch him shedding his blood from a safe distance? I do understand each soldier is meant to protect tile borders, but it looks pretty ridiculous.
I also hope that was not the extent of the UI changes that Frogboy outlined in his latest journal.. the fonts are still the same, the Empire Tree is still the same, and the tactical battle UI is still the same. Noticed the bottom bar changed and that's good, so I'm guessing they just didn't have the other changes in at the time the video was taken *crosses fingers*
Mine are crossed too
Is this beta 5 or retail version?
No idea. Some things look different from 4, but things are missing that were listed in another post.
I hope this is not the final version... Looks almost identical to beta 4.
This is without doubt the 'beta 5' Froggie talked about in his post yesterday.
Except that, you know, there's plenty of doubt.
Somewhere in the videos I saw a 0.98 version number on the menu screen. Also when the battle ended he told about a glitch they still have to fix. Looks like a betaversion to me.
I wish they would say more about multiplayer this game. Aside form the number of players that can play that is. I'd like to know if there is any cooperative play at all (not in the campaign more like coop victories). Just anything at this point. Nice videos though.
the thing is, i am not sure how they could make 2 tiles fight and it look exciting. this way atleast i can clearly see what is happening. if i had 10 on 10, i don't think i would be able to see much of whats going on. what if the unit had the ability to summon up another unit. would they have all 10 summon a single unit? not sure what could be done about this.
The Fantasy Wars games did an excellent job with this. Up to 10 units in a square would all go charging into the other square and duke it out. After a bit of melee the survivors would run back into their own square. It was really cool.
