Any interest in making a StarCraft 2 clan? Is it even possible? I could see no better clan than one then one that could be formed here.

Too late, I already belong to a clan but if anyone wants to spar then PM me.
thou shalt not play on the same team as anyone who is not a member of your clan EVER!!!
Has there been any Clan Stardock competition yet? No from me, I'm still learning to beat the computer...
ah, well that character code is 195 if anyone cares
I'm usually on Lagwars vent server...
just qualified for 1v1 plat too so w/e

CC: 153
Still busy whoring campaign achievements, but managed to pass all the challenges and play with friends from time to time. They're mostly at Gold, but we all went to school with this guy, so that probably pushed us up from Silver .
EDIT: Also NA servers.
Maccilia, I never played StarCraft 1 multiplayer and am currently in the bronze division (10 wins, 20 losses give or take), if you're willing to help me out and tell me what I'm doing wrong I'd appreciate it.
If anybody's from the Europe realm and interested, I'm WhoTheHell 113.
PS. My shot at clan name might be Starduck or Starducks
Haha, Day9 Dailies are fun
Day9 is great. So is Trump!
Oh and like Sareln I have been busy with the campaign. I beat Brutal a week ago and was working on the achievements just for fun. Finally started laddering today and was given my long overdue promotion to Platinum. Next stop Diamond!
I'll start adding you guys, I just wasn't sure if this "clan" idea had just completely lost momentum. That is if you guys are still actively playing.
Added all of you that are on the North American server.... I think.
What's your in-game name and character code Othello?
I'm playing Still haven't gotten around to placing in a league though, wanted to do a bunch of achievements so then I could focus on MP. 2640 achievements points atm >.>
And yeah, I usually load up Trump's stream as well when I get home from work.. half the reason I haven't done placements yet though is because Terran is my race since beta/SC1, but it's so Flavor of the Month. Most of Trump's matches are TvT
That's a lot of achievement points.
I'm a traitor to the Zerg race. I have always played Zerg, including 100 or so ladder games during the beta, but I switched to Terran about half my retail ladder games ago.
I was in the beta, always have been a Terran player from SC1 through till now. *shrugs*
Refuse to buy the game until LAN support in some capacity is added. I have horrible internet where I'm at and this past weekend we just had a 16 person 'round robin' tournament with SC1 at our place again using LAN and a tournament bracket. A few of us have SC2, I've played the beta when I was living at a different place. The storyline rocks, the game rocks, the multiplayer rocks ... except for lack of LAN. I can't play at home ... just sucks.
I love Zerg as a race, but I just can't play them well. I wish there was a little more flavor to them, too. A lot of Terran units have special abilities, but Zerg don't. Most of their upgrades are passive. I have most practice with Terran, but eventually I hope to just go Random. Just need to practice more with Zerg. Protoss is close enough to Terran that I'm decent with them.
I'm a big fat P player. I dislike Terran just because I dislike them and that's that, while I enjoy playing Zerg to some extent. I have always thought Protoss the coolest though and I liked the idea of strong and tough but expensive units. Plus I greatly enjoy the fact that Protoss stayed this way even though it received so many new abilities - they all fit very well with this race.
Anyway, I think whoring 3k achievement points is, like... missing the point . I finished the campaign, played a few extra missions to do achievements that looked like a cool challenge. Then I golded all challenges for practice (alone), played some practice 1v1s and now I'm doing placements.I don't believe you cannot "focus on the multiplayer" if you don't have all the bloody achievements earned in SP. That's sorta... pedantic and... silly.
I've always been a completionist, in any game I always try to do everything reasonable. Though, I have my limits - I never bothered to find all the damn feathers in Assassin's Creed 2, for example. But, regardless of what you believe, that's how it is. I have limited play time as it is with work and RL, and given that moving up in leagues is based on earning points, splitting time even more between wanting to play MP and wanting to get more Custom achievements is counterproductive to moving up ranks. Fun is fun either way, but dropping ranks because someone plays more than you is less fun. And ladder play is all about competition
I don't think you have any idea of what "limited play time" is, Annatar. Since the game's release I had time to play through the campaign on normal (that was ~3 days), unlock Zeratul's portrait, gold the challenges and do ~20 practice matches. That's all that I managed by playing every time I had the time for it and this is halfway through my holidays, mind you. And now I am going to enter the ladder and have fun, regardless of whether someone jumps ranks above me because he plays more or not.
Ladder play for me is about playing with people who are trying to win (unlike in Custom games where most of them don't really give a crap), who are on my level of skill and in a competitive (i.e. fair and even) setting. Not about competition per se, not about trying to squeeze my brains and fingers into beating the other guy and getting to Top1 diamond like it was a life or death matter, but about playing a fair game and having fun. It's a game after all. When I want to play SP, I play SP. When I want to play a Custom game, I will. When I want a fair match with someone of my skill, I roll a ladder game and I don't give a crap if it's counterproductive. That's what I find fun.
Anyway, suit yourself and have fun. I guess that's why they stuck so many achievement points into that game, so that people who want each and every one of them can have their hands full for a long time
Uh, since it's my time, of course I do.
Hey xtropy, my SC2 name is "Jack." Currently I'm vs'ing the AI as the zerg. I very much enjoy spreading the creep around.
Othello, you have to give him your name AND character code. Without the code, he won't be able to add you to his friends.
To find your code, launch SC2, log in to the main menu and hover your mouse over your portrait in the upper right corner of the screen.
And yeah, most people think zerg weak because they expect them to zip around everywhere like they did in SC1. They fail to notice that if anything changed drastically between SC1 and 2, it is the role of creep. Creep is not only the "pylon power field to build stuff" anymore, it is your domain where the zerg CAN zip around like crazy.
seems SEA will be allowed on US soon so i'll see what happens when it happens.
I believe he already has my code, it's on the first page.
A zerg strat I learned watching a replay of an "Insane" AI vs. me was to build a spare hatchery just below the main (with no drones collecting resources, only to spawn larva) and crank out roaches. I lost in under 10 minutes while still building my creep highway to my second hatchery. Solid strat.
Heh, yeah sorry, I didn't notice you were Jack. I have added you also, if I see you online I'll send you a message.
