Oh neat, I always liked Worms games.
Though at this point I think we need a single "games on Steamworks" thread. Creating a new one every time is getting kind of silly (or depressing I guess, depending on your position on Steamworks).
Its kind of funny actualy to go to a Stardock forum and see a long line of "STEAMWORKS!!!" threads, heh.

What´s up with Steamworks? Is it different to Steam? Will the game only be available through it? I hope not ffs, i want the physical copy...
Steamworks is like Games for Windows Live. It's a platform that gives the game achievements, storage, matchmaking, and some other services that Steam offers. The advantage is that developers can integrate it much more easily then building their own solution, that the servers are already supported by Valve, and that using it is free.
The downside is that the game requires a Steam account to play, no matter how you buy it. You *can* buy a physical copy (generally, I don't know if this particular game is getting a retail release), but it'll still need you to install and have a Steam account.
So if you have no problem with Steam, you can just buy it and not worry about Steamworks. If you do have a problem with Steam and don't want to use it, you can't buy any game with Steamworks.
Worms Reloaded wont be released via retail.

Well, if you want a game that has SteamWorks and you dont like Steam, you could buy that game retail and run it with a Steam emulator, therefore not needing Steam to run that game.
I love Worms
I've never completed a whole Worms game eventhough I've had Worms, Worms Armageddon, Worms 3D and Worms 4: Mayhem so Worms Reloaded will be the first Worms game I will complete 100% of. The old Worms games campaigns and challenges were hardcore and not possible to complete for normal people.
Now, do I preorder or do I wait for a holiday sale?

I do not mind Steam, i already own and play 2 Steam games: Modern Warfare 2 and Supreme Commander 2.
However the fact, i wont be able to buy retail copy, worries me...i have mine own account only for 2 years (though i am 26 lol) and never used inet banking or paypal or whatever it is called...everything i bought, even via internet, i paid cash on delivery...and i really hoped to continue, cause i am too lazy to learn how to do it...
and i do not feel safe in this world of trojans, backdoors and similar sh!t

Just get CC with enabled internet payments + insurance which cover most likely risks.

Steamworks means that the game, even if it's released in physical, requires you to be connected constantly to Steam to be able to play. Just that.
