You can still download the client, but you can also play a relaxing game of Progress Quest right in your web browser! Progress Quest reminds me of WoW, of Diablo ... of a lot of games really.
Huge number of playable races and classes! Enormous beastiary and vast arsenal, armory, and items. Unbelievable number of quests, all of which get performed for you automatically.
Graphics: Best there ever have been!
Not a Click Fest: Choose your character and your class at the beginning and that's it! The rest of the game is fully automatic! Sit back and sip a cool one while your character does all the work! I mean, that's what computers are for isn't it?
Cost: Free
Monthly Fee: None
Is It Good: (Hint: Frogboy doesn't want you to know about this game!) Yes it simply beats the socks off anything you have ever played before!
Note: If using a browser with site settings for magnification, set to 100% to test the browser version.
July 16, 2010 will long be remembered as the "day of doom" for the rest of the computer gaming industry.
I thought July 19, 2010 was the day of doom when Alien Swarm got released for free.
Well SpardaSon, Alien Swarm is indeed a great game. But it is online multiplayer cooperative. Even worse, it would require something like effort on my part!
Hopes for gaming has been lost once again.
I don't get this game. At all.
The End.
But sir! 'tis the pinnacle of rpg entertainment!
It takes way too long to level up in this game IMO.
Ever played MMOs? This is the Reductio ad absurdum version. The core gameplay in your typical MMO is to go do stuff that gets you loot. Then do the same stuff against harder mobs to get better loot. Rinse and repeat infinitely.
I'm a WoW player, and I've always found Progress Quest amusing. It really applies to some people there for whom GearScore is the point of the game.
I'm level 25 in progress quest.
Suck it noobs
