It's starting to get a little late in the early evening. I'm think it's a better chance for 3B to hit tomorrow or tomorrow night then? Just curious.
Not so sure.. they have kept a really good lid on the huge 15-20 miles long by 10 feet high methane gas bubble that could explode and cause catastrophic damage ~200 feet inland.. http://embedr.com/playlist/bp-gas-bubble-20-miles-long-could-cause-tsunami ... plus they are keeping the lid on all of the dead sea life they are dumping.
I'm just waiting for us to have a significant Tropical Storm or Hurricane come and pick up all that oil and dump it on land as a fine layer across our state. Next thing you know we'll have massive fires a few days after that and millions of acres of forrest will burn. I'm just watching the weather, waiting for it to happen....because you know some more evil shit like that is coming.
Damn i'm waiting here i believe i may be going insane *begins to bash head against desk waiting for beta* lol
And then you'd have to deal with FEMA making another mockery of a relief effort as the salt in the wound.
Maybe stardock is mentally testing us to see how long we'll wait before we crack and go crazy....
Frogboy are you just F***ing with us?
lol
Well, you need to be in a good state to test, so try to do something relaxing.
Anyway, I'm sure all the people of Stardock are trying their best.
Best regards,Steven.
I was just messing around thought maybe we could get some paranoia stirred up for comedy.
Well, it's almost midnight in Stardock land. If they've been working since 9 am...
As one who lives but a scant handful of miles from pristine Gulf beaches I understand...tho personally I think it won't matter as in a few short years the "Spill, Baby, Spill" crowd will have rigs a few miles off our shores...hopefully Gov. Crist will get that amendment on the state Constituion.
BTW Raven, from your pic you look eeerily familiar to me. If your initials are N.H. and you are familiar with a little place called Coleman, we may know each other. If not, c'est la vie.
Where is the boy ?
I'm playing Ultima Online until we get the new beta
Admittedly the rest of this post is off-topic. So let me start with: hope you put 3B up soon, Stardock - we're all looking forward to it!
Can't let this one go... did you actually listen to the "catastrophic" gas bubble clip? First of all, it's dated a month ago, with no confirmation of any sort. Lots of rumors, but I've seen no discussion by scientists actually familiar with the situation see a threat of the sort implied by whoever it is talking here (and there are plenty of them that don't work for either BP or the government). Notice how he never actually gives any names? It's always just "a geologist I won't name on the air" and all that.
It is true that increased methane levels could lead to (for that matter, to some extent, is) algae blooms, which leads to oxygen depletion... but the same is true of the oil even if no methane were present. Not that it's a good thing, but this isn't a catastrophic tsunami-causing explosion. Natural gas is leaking all the time out of the gulf and is always dissolved there.
Further, the guy mentions how "the miltary" is blocking their GPS signals so they can't make an accurate measurement. The military stopped selective availability (SA) on GPS over 10 years ago under the Clinton administration, and the newest GPS satellites aren't even capable of it anymore.
So while BP certainly made some awful mistakes they should pay for, these sorts of unsubstantiated rumors help no one.
Ok I know I'm being an impatient jerk but I do wish they'd come and tell us if it's coming or not already
Great game when will beta 3b be available ?
anyone know when we will see beta 3b ?
It's saturday here! -Jeremy Sr.
also Raven I also knew someone here in Michigan and he looked just like you! He went by JR
I hope, if anything good comes out this at all, we'll all make the transition to green power and give those arseholes who think it's impossible the middle finger.
I'm hoping it will still be tonight, but it's not looking too likely.
I don't. Nothing personal. They should do what they need to, and not worry about us in this case in all honesty. Were not important to the distribution or need to be made aware of it. Simply because it's not critical to get it out to us and let us know.
Would it be nice? Sure.. So would hearing from Brad on my idea about cities and spells, and magic items.
But it's not critical to the game... just a pleasantry. We can handle waiting. (I've waited for over 4 years for this game.. and still am waiting patiently as well for the real full live version!)
Boogie in the other thread said they're still there. I kinda don't know how productive you can be after this many hours though.
I trust Stardock more then any other game company though (seriously, you guys have earned it) , so I'll believe.
For the past few releases, the change log has been posted in the dev section about 30-45 minutes before it shows up on impulse or so it seems. Nothing in the dev section though so I'm guessing it is going to be a while.
WINDMILLS off the coast is so much better than Oil Rigs ...
Wouldn't you rather see a giant field of Windmills in the barely visible distance? Than have to rely on gasoline at all (visible or not)?
If no ... then I guess you don't like Windmills (or windpower).
Let's not discuss energy policy here, no offense meant by that.
Because they suck.
Suck!
