Here’s a video preview of Beta 3B.
Can't wait!
Wish my map scrolled that fast
will it get out today?
I can't wait to see how that affects gameplay.
Very encouraging!
Please keep the type of aggression (be it military or magic or a mix) dependent on the resources you start around. It individualizes each game played. In the short term it may seem disappointing if you only want magic gameplay but can't have it each game. But long term, it would keep each game interesting and varied to the next, and overlay strategic choices the player would have to use to their advantage.
Will each goldmine, and like structure, benefit from the upgrades of only the nearest city or will all the cities upgrades affect universally? Such as, if I built a structure increasing gildar collected, will it affect the mine three cities over?
Looking forward to the update!

p.s. Frogboy, you keep the same hours as a working musician such as myself, LATE!
This looks very promising. Fighting over territories with influence is a great minigame within the game. Looking good!!
yep this sounds much better
@frogboy why not make so i can build caravans to the improvements to connect them with a city, i could easily see which city has which improvement (just look at the roads) and perhaps they could even give a further bonus to the improvement.
Definitely have Forts n Watchtowers Naough!!!
Turf Wars: Battle of the Outposts
basically, sounds a LOT more interesting than ... City-centric warfare, City-spam, All-or-nothing warfare (tied to city warfare)
The way I see it, people could be fighting rather continuously over certain areas of turf rather than necessarily try to attack the city (a lot harder) to kill the other player.
Indeed, you could have armies that specifically rule the countryside ... basically what I mean is that you would need some kind of Seige weaponry or Wall-destroying magic to even THINK about attacking someone's Walled City, however you don't ever need to attack their walls to cripple them/ win the game.
Wow, your up late!
Looks cramped, but the the overall look is most impressive.
All i can say is ... GOOD i really like this change
looks great, I was sorta hoping to see tactical battles. Three cheers for beta 3B.
Area of influence / improvement building changes are great to see!
I think we were promised a vid exclusively on TB's.
Being able to build on improvements not next to cities again is a happy site, certainly removes the need to city spam just to make sure you get every map improvement you want.when you say monster sizing though, do you mean that the monsters will be better scaled based on their strength?
Yay! Resource overhaul! Great stuff!
But, are you sure that was a long game? I mean it's turn 113 you have 2SP and 2RP going and there are some kick-ass monsters out there and half the map is occupied... I sense the "miraculous wand of sly developer" at work here...
this is looking great. I can't wait for this to come out. Two questions if I may
have the graphics in the video been finalised, or are they just showing placeholder graphics?
how is the august realease date looking?
keep up the good work.
Can't wait to give it a try.
I like the change of specializing citys with buildings that multiply or ''use'' the available special recources. It will give us another use for the early buildings, and it will stop us (to a certain extent) from spamming citys.
Good luck with stomping out the last bugs and keep up the good work.

Brad, check out the tile at 3:52. It really looks kind of "artificially there." It would be nice if you guys could figure out a way to make that discolored ground spread naturally to nearby tiles without looking like an obvious square patch. Unless it's paved ground, in which case it shouldn't be slanted strangely like that in the first place.
[Bug][Graphics][3B] Lol those hills that stretch the city look bad.
That spider looked more dangerous than he was. 4 atk? He is as large as a city ffs.
Is food and population handled in the same way?
seems the bugs grow like wild fire....
didnt see this change coming. Glad someone thought of it. I like the idea alot.
The city-building sounds Much improved! Now sounds like we have the desired city specialisation/freedom/etc we've been needing to increae the fun so long .
fantastic idea. That's really cool, certainly helps to differentiate from city spam games.
I still think adding Forts, Keeps and Watchtowers would help flesh out border controls.
