When I 1st read a preview for Elemental, and its turn based strategic map and real time battle resolution (yes, I know this was canned)-I had a brief flashback of an old DOS PC game called Dark Legions.
When just recently browsing through the Lore section of the official web side, and read about "orbs of power" and such, I again had a vintage PC game flashback (if you could call it vintage, whats the criteria anyway?).
Don't flame me, I have played the beta for a couple of hours (not counting CTD and restarts-ah betas), and Elemental plays nothing like that game, nor do I think it borrows from it in any significant way....
Just wondered, am I the only person on the planet that remembers that damn game and actually played it multiplayer over a network? IIRC it did have some pretty awesome (for its day at least) character and animation artwork.

Sounds like Archon with the realtime battles
I remember that game, Loved it back in the day, played it tons with friends. Almost tempting to dig it out of the old game pile and try to get it running again
Would probably need Dosbox or some other emulator to run it at all.....I probably have the 3 1/4's buried in some box somewhere.....
I actually only heard about this game about a year ago when I was searching for some old classic games I could download that I had missed the first time around. It looks like a really cool Archon type of game just minus all the chess trappings. I actually got it running and tried it out but I had issues with the controls. Seems like it is designed to be played with a joystick. That or I'm just not talented enough with the keyboard. Definitely looks like something that people who liked Archon should check out.
