Hey love the TEC Dreadnought but it the ship itself seems slim or streched idk just something about it seems wrong dont get me wrong i like the idea of merging to marza together but how you stretched made it not as exciting so please if you can just resize it a bit please
Are you saying the textures are stretched or are you saying the model looks too stretched?
I thought the model was a little stretched but can't remember if the textures were.
the textures was actually fine just the model itself
Hi I am new and I want to ask how is the most talented mod creator? C ause Ii got a video with some planet ideas in and I want to give it to him, or I'll just upload the images on the site?
Uzii the creator of Sins Plus ask him how do I doto make his mod work on my sins...
or what sins is needed to make it work... normal, Diplomacy or Entrenchment ???

Almost forgot i have a actualized version of the Sins of a Solar Empire and tell Uzii to update his mod please...
Uzii doesn't come around much these days, so you'd have just as much luck convincing him to update Sins Plus as any of the rest of us would if we hadn't done so already. If you want to message him with your ideas, you should probably message him. As far as I know, Sins Plus can be made to work with the original as well as both expansions. All you need to do is go to this thread: https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/356807 and download Harpo's mod tools. Once you have a copy of the old Sins Plus in the mod folder that it would work in if you were running that version of Sins, all you have to do is start up the tools and update it to the current version. Information on how to update older mods and any help needed can be found in Harpo's thread.
Alternately, you can look around the forums for other mods that are still current and use it. One such mod that I'm very familiar with is Distant Stars which uses Sins Plus as well as Celestial Bodies planets and has lots of other goodies tossed in. Click here to go there.

You can post here with your ideas as they are welcome, or share them with the community by creating your own post for discussion.
Stant123 has mentioned two such mods in his post above. There many great modders in the Sins community you can also look at the site ModDB for some current and also upcoming mods.

Harpo's mod tools doesn't work... It keeps telling me "Path Not Found" you could imagine how sad it can be??
And if I can post ideas, how do I post pictures? because when I import a image either it shows me the address where is placed, either shows me a page broke in half...
I need A bit of help...

For issues with the mod tools, you should post them in that thread so that Harpo himself can help you out.
In this text box where you type, near the top middle you should see a little square that looks like a picture of a tree with green grass and blue sky. Click that button and a new box will open. All you have to fill out is the image url.
How do I fill this URL, because when I fill it and I click "accept" it shows me that dam broken page!
OR i need to fill it with the address where the image is located??

You can get your files hosted (that is on the internet so you have a url) on free servers such as filefront (Google for 'free file hosting').
I have been trying to get the Anonymous ftp working for the Maelstrom website but to no avail ... maybe it takes time for setup!?
In the meantime if you email me your images (<10MB) at soase-maelstrom@hotmail.com I can manually place them and give you URL's for each of the images.
SoaSE, do you know, by any way, How to use Harpo's Mod updater tools without sending-u that "path not found" message??

Hey SoaSE, if u make this mod just update the Maelstrom so that it could be used in it with these new planet textures...
By the way, if you've watched the video I sent it to ya when making the Electricity World place to the dark side of the planet a bit of natural lightning and thunder effects so that it could appear more realistic.
And the Storm world, when making the atmosphere make it like u see it in the picture... A bit violent and very fast cloud moving effect as the picture description is...

By the way If you are planing to make this maelstrom expansion check out for the "Aura" Planet Class it seems that the planet its turned upside down.... i mean you are seeing the interior of the sphere instead of seeing the planet as it is...

I got your video and pictures. Thanks for the work.
Firstly, bear in mind that Maelstrom is a large mod, that is it is pushing the hardcoded limits of Sins. Planets meshes and textures take a considerable amount of memory so I have been very careful when I added new planets i.e its not for lack of ideas.
Here are comments on your ideas
Stars
1. Aqua Star, Purple Titan Star, Orange Star, Binary Star, 3 Star
I don't think stars add to the game. A simple star 'costs' about 3Mb of memory. I would also have to add a new texture file for star Hud as the current one is almost full. That is why I have been putting it off.
With regards Binary and more stars I have 10 stars in the stellar anomaly
Worlds
Can take up to 11 MBytes per world
1. Radioactive world & Toxic world are ideas similar to Sins Plus worlds. I have consider them.
2. Storm world, Electricity World - I think there are negative planetary bonuses which cover these concepts.
3. World with moons - the binary world has 3 moons
4. Lunar world - Celestial bodies mod has similar worlds. I have consider them.
5. Kantabryss world, Massive world, Swarming Hydre World - good ideas but note that planets can have only one ability and those are quite limited.
Overall you have some good ideas but I can't include them all in the Maelstrom mod at this time. The Maelstrom mod is memory limited and I have limited time for which I have a development path for this mod. However I will endeavor to include some in stages in coming releases of Maelstrom. It will depend on how the memory budget of Maelstrom goes.
Release 3 of the mod will focus on new Planetary Structures and the inclusion of Dreadnoughts
Release 4 of the mod will focus on new Models and Textures for the Norlamins and Replicators fleets.
Also expanding the number of starbases in a star would not necessarily be a good idea - have you ever seen an AI build a starbase in a star? Or even for worlds that allow multiple starbases have you ever seen a AI build more than 1. The reason I mention it is that a human player would logically build more than one if it was necessary but the AI wouldn't necessarily do so - i.e it would create a imbalance.

Because I have em both XSI Mod Tool and Blender 3D
And as far as i can tell the both have the pretty same abilities, just the buttons and options are different...
