Finally, a good remake of Mortal Kombat. They're going back to it's roots like "Street Fighter 4" did. Check this out. I love Mortal Kombat!!!

I am excited to play this one. Mortal Kombat was always my favorite fighter franchise. The best release IMO was MK Trilogy for the Playstation.
That one was good, indeed. I think my all time fav though would have to be Mortal Kombat 2 on the SNes. I was unstoppable on that. That was also the last time that "Shang Sung" was "Shang Sung". If you knew every characters moves he was the ultimate character. He could change into ANY other character and had ALL of their moves, including their fatalities.
I'm looking at this as well. Looks like some of the old favorites (Kung Lao & the hat!) are coming back. I agree that MK2 was probably the best one. MK3 was good, except for the ridiculous combos which the AI would start spamming relentlessly. Not fun.
Actually I used to try to win the match as subzero and freeze them and then morph into another character and do their finishing move. Created a lot of interesting results.
All you had to do is block the initial hit which always left them open for a throw.
I don't even know why full 3d run around the stage fighters are made. Street fighter 4 was how it should have always been in terms of 3d fighters.
I don't care if the animations look goofy and the camera angles probably wont be as good at street fighter, this is a good move for mortal kombat.
I'm not much for fighting games, but do get one every now and then if it looks fun enough. Last one was Dead or Alive 3 so I guess I'm about due and that new MK does look sweet. Played a bunch of UMK3 on Saturn back in the day.
