Impulse is giving PC fans an added bonus for their Diggs, Tweets and Forum participation starting today as Stardock announced the formation of a new fan-based society, the Elemental Army. Fans of the anticipated PC fantasy strategy title Elemental: War of Magic can win limited edition / custom Elemental packs, up to $100 in gift cards to Stardock’s digital distribution platform, Impulse and more by simply enlisting in the Elemental Army and participating in online discussions about the upcoming epic turn-based strategy game.
The refer a Friend is giving me an error stating that it "can't connect to web server". I don't see a link to report problems on the Elemental Army page, so how do I get this to work?
The email address is a gmail account btw.
i had that error too, though i havn't tried adding someone without a impulse account as yet
yep, that is planned for today you will still have to login to see their profile stuff though
still looking into why some emails seem to be eaten by the server
The links/badges now point to the person's respective profile.

another update: the refer a friend bug seems to be ironed out. Let me know if you still get the web service error.
Is there any way to unlink my forum account from my army account? I went to the site and wanted to check out what it was all about, and I clicked the "accept terms" button and that was it. I really don't want to participate, and I think the weapons under my avatar look rather ugly. Any chance to remove them?
there isn't a way to un-sign up, however, the Army will only be going until release and then the icons will be removed (we could find a way to keep them on there I'm sure for those that want them to stick around as just an image, but for the most part they will be removed).
Also note that they only appear on the Elemental forums, not any other forums. So if it really bothers you try posting from forums.stardock.com or forums.impulsedriven.com
Is there any plans of having a signature in this forum like the one in GalCiv2? Never too soon to ask.
You mean the medals under each post? We might have something like that for the Impulse::Reactor achievements.
I meant exactly that. Sorry for being a bit unclear.
Would/could/should those Impulse::Reactor achievements appear as "medals" under each post? (unless ye add a bazillion in which case I understand it would be crazy)
We would take the achievement images, make them smaller, and try to fit maybe your last 10 achievements under your post. I'm not saying we WILL do this, I'm just saying we could.
That's the most brilliant marketing strategy I've ever seen in a game. I wonder if it is actually new... if it is, props to you guys.
I'm still waiting for that rekindling
Can Island Dog or one of the other members of the marketing clarify what must be done in order to satisfy the Facebook Fan quest?
Currently, Facebook's permissions and security are a little rough. I've declared myself a fan of the game, but I failed to complete the quest since my page is label as private.
Does anyone know if Facebook allows users to create a public profile with likes and dislikes? The only thing I can think of doing is setting my entire profile public, but I don't want to do that.
How long does it typically take to update quest points? I've been waiting a couple of days - is that normal?
As noted on the army page. Submissions will generally not be cleared during the weekend.
Would it be possible to have rewards other than the grand prize? For example Top 25 get $5 off Impulse purchases or Top 50 get beta access. Right now, there's nothing for people that aren't first place other than the draw.
