Long story short:Some time ago I bought Hearts of Iron 3 (WW2 strategy) from Paradox - game was horribly broken at release and was never patched to the state where it wouldnt contain gamebreaking bugs. Today they released expansion called Semper Fi (it cost 20 bucks) which promised to fix most problems. Many of HoI3 problems are still present in Semper Fi. For example submarine warfare is still broken, Japan is always defeated by china etc. When I posted problems I found in Paradox forums I was banned for it and all my posts were deleted, none of those posts contained even single rude word and I didnt break any forum rules, but because some admin was having power trip and didnt like my criticism I was banned. Problem with being banned is that to access MP server you have to use your forum login which is tied to you CD key so without it you are screwed...

Forum access being tied into game access is something I've heard a lot about lately. Odd.
As for Paradox, I've never had a major problem with them. (Aside from them allowing Majesty 2 to be made the way it was. Goddamn abomination)
But surely there's someone higher-up you can contact about this? Or if not, some silly law somewhere you could chuck at them?

I didnt have any problems (except of zillion bugs in their games) with Paradox untill today - I didnt even had any infraction on their forum (I was there for almost 18 months and had 1400+ posts there - all were deleted when I was banned).
If the game had that many unresolved issues I would never have bought an expansion. You got suckered.
Normally I'd agree. Hell, I still mostly agree now. (Though I still do intend to get HoI3 at some point and find/make a balance/fix mod) But banning him because he pointed out a problem with the game that remains despite an expansion? That's a tad bit below the moral belt. (Such as exists on the int0rwebz.)

In a similar scenario, I was criticizing EA/Bioware on their "Social Site"; Bam. Without warning, my account was permanently suspended and everything I had bought from EA (all DLC, etc) was unavailable.
This is what Steamers, No-LAN proponents and "new age" gamers are signing on to.
No phone number available (and I doubt that they would help me over phone).
Also several more users dissapeared (and their compalints)....

I pirate HoI2 when I first heard about it, and I loved it so much I bought HoI3 when it came out. I have never, ever downloaded such a buggy piece of software that I can remember. It never crashed, but there were just so many bugs it was unreal. The entire ocean was a typhoon with 100% wind and 100% rain, making naval battles impossible and causing submarines to be the main naval ship of choice, for example.
I am really unhappy with Paradox, but I like HoI3 now that a lot of bugs are ironed out, and five minutes ago I paid for the expansion pack (which I heard about here). I hope you are unbanned.

Which moderator banned you? They don't ban people for bug reports unless you break these rules.

Its too bad that paradox has turned to this. Surprising that a complaint about bugs got a ban. I've posted lots of complaints about the lack of content in Majesty 2 and have yet to be banned there. Of course i have stopped posting there a couple of months ago anyway

Sorry to interrupt the bash-fest, but someone has to play the Devil's Advocate here. I've done a lot of digging in Google's cache, and I've found multiple points where you broke their rules. The threads were often locked and you were told exactly why, and then you said the same thing in another thread. Here's an example:

I love this game. But I also think that game shouldnt have gamebreaking bugs before you start charging for expansions (Yes, I am spoiled by Valve).I will buy SF as soon as its released at Steam. I am also willing to buy future expansions and games from Paradox, but it need to be less buggy and combat simulation need to be more reallistic (which would currently affect performance, but if HoI3 supported multicore CPUs it wouldnt be problem IMO).Oh and I (and many others) would like to have casualty stats
Each time you bring up casualty stats, the moderators come along and tell you to NOT DO IT. That is against their rules. And then you do it again. Please stop acting like the moderators are going on some "power trip." Frankly, I find it offensive.
Further, you aren't always as nice as you would have us think. There was a point in time (I can't get the quote because I've opened up enough caches now that google thinks I'm a bot) where you explicitly told somebody to "STFU" because you disagreed with them.

For talk about Stats I didnt even recieve infraction. We (who discussed those stats) just recieved PM not to post it again.
I am angry at Paradox so I posted it at 5 forums - I dont see anything wrong with that. Games tied to that account cost me money (just HoI3 was 40€).

I believe in morality, and I also believe in science. Morality is what keeps people together. You may be short sighted, or lack the intelligence to understand, but the reason why humanity keeps going is because people don't get revenge like you. Instead people go by the law and arrest scum.
