I'm just curious what peoples impressions are of this game? I've only seem a handful of comments and they seem pretty mixed. I have the game but I just started playing it so I don't have much to base an opinion on. Other than a few minor issues (hate hacking for instance) though I am enjoying it so far.
I was waiting for this game, but the game is getting hammered by reviewers and most gamers. It's a shame too cause a espionage game ala Mass effect definately sounded cool. Looks like Obsidian once again has created a game with great potential only to fail miserably short of the mark. Here's hoping they can patch the game to an enjoyable level. I still want to buy the game if they can salvage it.
I can't wait for Obsidian to destroy Fallout Vegas.
I just think they've created a great game. The characters and story are great. The gameplay isn't anything we haven't seen before but I'd still give it a solid 8/10.
I spent two days finishing it, barely even ate anything. I'm on my second run through now.
Read this thread Here. Don't listen to the reviews.

Hey now I like the Fallout Universe... Those are fighting words!
Bah Bethesda's take isn't as bad as you doomsayers make it out to be... Your all just too set in your ways.
I loved Fallout 1 and 2.
I also loved fallout 3, though for different reasons.
If you can't adapt your destined only for the obscurity of oblivion.
Sadly most people on this forum would have and adaptation stat of -1
I haven't found any bug yet (which could change as I advance, I know) and I don't see how has Obsidian failed. I haven't read any reviews (pro or not) so I don't know in what others base their opinions (except a single one I read about someone rushing the game in 9 hours and complaining about it being short... which anyone who rushes any kind of game says anyway).
Also, is that "most" real or just based on people posting? Because it's a fact that after release of any game, "most" people complains of how bad that game is (usually offical forums are troll feasts in those first weeks). And we know how much "truth" there is in "most" of those complains.
Not that I'd complain if they were to improve the game... (yeah, hacking can be a pain in the ass)
It's good to hear that people here are enjoying the game. That's promising news. I usually go by the overall tone of posters at several online games sites to determine if I'm going to purchase a game or not. I'm putting AP on wait and see for now.
I'm actually playing through fallout 3 now and I am enjoying the game alot. While it may not be the turn based/isometeric type game like fallout 1 and 2 it definately captured the essence of the original games. Plus the game is highly moddable to cater to a player's taste. I have experience a few lock ups here and there, but I come to expect a couple hiccups from Bethesda, but overall the game is a very rich satisifying wastelander experience.
I hope Obsidian hit's it out of the park with New Vegas, I have played Kotor2, NWN2, MOTB, and SOZ and enjoyed those games so I know Obsidian can produce some really involving story lines with fun gameplay.
My only complaint is the cover system feels really lacking after playing Splinter Cell: Conviction.
That's not really a big deal though. I think I'll be running through this a third time (at least) as figuring out the best way to talk to all the characters is a game in itself.
Having played the two games they had made before this i was waiting for this for a while. While admittedly i was put off by bad reviews the real reason is that i just dont feel that modern day Bioware Style RPGs live up to the old isometrics. Im am almost 100% sure the real reason is that they dont live up to say Baulders Gate 2 in terms of non linear content and therefore im slowly drifting away from this genre of game. DA-O and MA2 just didnt do it for me
However if this game is extremely expansive like the old "im not limited by graphics and the time it takes to make 3D models" games its a definite buy for me.
