Round 1b began at Midnight on 5/1/2010 and ended at 11:59PM EST on 5/7/2010.
Round 2 began at Midnight on 5/8/2010 and ended at 11:59PM EST on 5/23/2010.

Round 4 (FINALS) began Midnight on 5/31/2010 and will end at 11:59PM EST on 6/5/2010
Players responsible for hosting and scheduling their own matches. Then, the winning team must provide a replay and a link to the pantheon stats here for tracking purposes, for every game played. Please feel free to use this thread get your matches scheduled.
There will be a need to disqualify teams that aren't making the required effort to get their games in without penalizing another team that's doing whatever they can to get a match scheduled. It's probably best if teams that are trying to organize matches go on record in the forums. For instance, if I was playing against say AtMa and Ba, I'd post something like the following in this thread:
Atma + Ba: trouser and pacov are generally available M-F from 5pm EST - 1AM EST. Please let us know if some time in that slot would work for you or recommend a time slot that works. I'll PM you in a few days if I haven't heard from you or we can discuss this on lagwars vent.
Something like that. If it comes down to disqualifying teams because they didn't get their match in, the more info and tracking you have indicating that you did your best to get the match scheduled the better.
Here is the FINAL bracket - UPDATED 6/5/2010
Tournament Rules:
How will we handle crashes:
If there is a game crash, the players involved in that match should see if they can come to a consensus on the probable outcome of the match. If there is no clear winner, the 2 teams should replay the match using the exact same demigods and sides (light/dark). If there was a clear winner at that point in the game, then that team should be awarded the win. If the 2 teams disagree on the outcome, a third party will review the replay of the match and render a decision. Be aware that the 3rd party must agree that a specific team was going to win or the results will be thrown out and the match redone.
How we will handle invalid game states:
The lastgamereplay file is still created in the event of an invalid game state, so it is still possible to review the results of a match. In the event of an invalid game state, players should attempt to resolve the issue exactly the same way as game crashes. If you believe foul play occurred, submit the replay along with any screen shots, etc, as evidence and we will review. If there is a CLEAR consensus that a team is willingly triggering invalid game states, that team should be disqualified after a thorough review of the facts. Please be reasonable, though. We all know that Demigod has its bugs and its still pretty easy to encounter an invalid game state even if no one has intentionally triggered it. If your game does crash, it might be advisable to take a screen shot of the crash as proof. Be aware that we know invalid game states can occur without any sort of foul play, so please be mindful when submitting requests for review.
Prizes:
Outside of prestige in our small community, there is also a cash prize thanks to community contributions. The total (and probably final) amount paid for this tournament is $200. If you would like to contribute to the pot, please pm me and I'll get you the needed info to send me a payment. If individuals do not come through on their pledges, I will not be personally covering the difference. My goal is to collect the pledged amount before the tournament starts and I will be providing updates as I receive the pledged money.
Please thank our contributors and consider contributing to the prize yourself.

This tournament is not turning out the way I expected.
I would like to see the 3v3 round robin setup, even if it's just 6 or 8 teams. Set specific times (8-12 on Friday+sat) for everyone to be on and just play games with whatever teams are available. That's far similar to what actually happens now outside of the tournament than these odd 2v2 matchups with specific characters that people aren't used to.
I'm really looking forward to the finals replays!
magnus didn't we make a money bet on whether kalel and rawwr would win ? I want my money!
It's great to see the tournament finally reaching its climax .
I'd really like to see happen (and maybe participate in) a 3v3 tournament in the near future, i think i'd be quite easy to get 4-8 teams participate in it. Though I think a play-off set-up would make it easier to actually get the games take place, since a round-robin system would need a lot more matches, and in later stages bad performing teams would probably just leave the tourney altogether.
Based on current demigod selection rules, i thought an easy way to set what teams would be allowed is this:
- Demon Assassin, Regulus : 1.5 Points
- Torch Bearer, Queen of Thorns : 2 Points
- Sedna, Oculus, Rook, Unclean Beast: 2.5 Points
- Lord Erebus, Oak : 3 Points
Any team with a total of 7 points or less is allowed, so no Oak/Erebus/X team is allowed, etc...
I haven't thought too much on it, so changes could be made, like promoting Rook and Ub to 3 points and LE/oak to 3.5, and taking the max points to 8, etc. But the basics should be something like this imho.
Anyway, congrats to the participants of the current tourney and the finalists .
UB, Sedna, TB
Oh, the interrupts! You could never cast a spell between silence, pounce, deep freeze, frost nova, and foul grasp.
7.5!
The tournament is definitely not over.
Ya Shane, a kill or two goes a longgg way with qot / Rook. That definitely made things instantly easier. Although Iunno if it proves anything.. however if we would have been down a kill or two that could have easily been game as well. It's a fine line imo, and not similar to other combos where you can come back from 6 kills down or something.
lol so, since things aren't turning out the way you expected you don't like the tourney setup? You would rather have the tourney be ENTIRELY ub / oak or ere / oak? The whole point of the "odd" matchups was to draw diversity, which is definitely what has happened. I can safely say now that there is not a single combination in the tourney that is unstoppable.
No my point was that almost everyone who plays this game plays mostly 3v3, and I would argue random match ups but that's only my experience. 2v2 is like a whole different environment that few people are really practiced in. I'd like to see a tournament that reflects how most of us actually play most of the time.
Sorta like the wow arena, 2v2 and 3v3 were entirely different setups, each had their good combos and bad that were different from each other and people could be phenomenal at one and horrible at the other.
I think this tournament is a little out of most peoples comfort zones which is producing odd results.
Anyway, I don't recall any real bet Jona. I probably mentioned it in passing though.
^Actually if you put in the effort to play with everyone (which you haven't) then the results are not that unexpected. A 2-man team can't be carried by 1 person and you'd be able to point out where each person's flaws are.
2on2 tournaments are the best!
Sedna = 2.5
TB = 2
2.5 + 2.5 + 2
5.0 + 2
7
Oh shit, why the hell isn't UB 3? I just assumed.
Makes no sense to me either Tesssssssssssssssser. I just wanted to point out that UB/SED/TB || QoT would be possible, and likely if that system were used.
My idea:
1 - DA, Regulus, TB, QoT
2 - Oculus, Rook, Sedna
3 - Oak, UB, LE
Pick one from each group, viola, instant DG balance.
Possible strategies:
Gank- UB, Rook , TB
Flank - LE, Oculus, DA || Regulus
Tank - Oak, Sedna, QoT
EDIT: I fixed your name.
TESEER DAMMIT!
LE and Oak are 3 because of their unkillableness after a certain level which makes them able to steal portals, even with accilimation a none supported UB is killable.
No one in this tournament is dumb enough not to help beast gank everything that moves. UB is fairly unkillable at level 15 with acclimation. He's also pretty darned fast and he slows you down with diseased claws, so he's pretty effing durable IMO. He also has great health and armor as well as enormous DPS, which is why he's T1, and should be considered on par with LE and Oak.
ehm what time zone?^^ koush and me will be on all day though
Split's is the simplest and probably the easiest to get everyone to agree to. If you wanted to make it more complicated, I would move Rook and Occ to 2.5 and TB to 1.5. Leave UB at three. To compensate, I would leave move your total dg points to 7.5 (which encourages one of the half-point demigods) .
If we do do a 3v3, though, I think it should be "anything goes" for the first two matches, and the third tie-breaker match is limited to 7.5 rule. Or you could invert it. First two games are 7.5 games and tiebreaker is "anything goes" (except doubles).
TB blood/Occulus blood and monks/UB blood
game over
^You Germans and your propaganda.
And Mith is EST.
The dust has settled and the results are as follows.
Game one - Beast + Tb vs Beast + Tb
Winner: Renz and Mith
Game two - Beast + Tb vs Beast + Tb
Winner: Koush + Zen
Final game - Beast + Tb vs Beast + Tb
Winner: Koush + Zen via Disconnect
It should noted that game 3 was ended via Mith dropping, however all of us have concluded that we will not make a drama out of this and they will give us the victory due to the situation in the game when Mith dropped: Map control, warscore, gold, kills and total overall position was all in our favour. They were very good games.
REPLAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYS

Game 2:

Don't have replay 3 anymore, so don't bother asking for it, everything in game 3 is basically in game 2.
