So I know for the last few weeks I've had 30 "Karma". Tormy- gave me Karma this morning and now I have 26? 4 of it seems to have gone AWOL.
I'm not concerned with my "Karma" count really, but I thought I'd point out that it looks like it's doing something funky.

I've seen some Karma fluctuations in the past. I think sometimes they get shuffled between forums somehow. One time someone gave me 1 karma on one site and 9 showed up, yet it just seemed to be moving karma I had from one of the other SD forums and counting it. It's strange at times.

The numbers are still problematic, but the karma should not disappear from that page.

I've seen an oscillation over the weekend with 25 points coming and going from my total viewed on Elemental while my total at GC2 stayed stable; Elemental seems to have settled on -25 for me.
My karma details page via elemental.com seems intact, but I don't check it that often. (I thought the OT change at Elemental was the culprit, but I still see karma from OT threads in my list.)
According to that count it says I now have 27 Karma. I too would have to say it "looks" ok but I know for the last month or more I had 30 Karma. It also says 27 Karma from 23 users. I don't post on GalCiv2's forums or any other SD forums really. All the Karama or anything like that I've gotten has been from here.
Once again, the numbers are still wrong as I have not gotten around to fixing them. They will continue to randomly change or show different numbers. Your karma list, however, should show all of your karma regardless of which forum it was made on.

It was probably the karma chameleons. They come and go from time to time.
Your karma is still there. It's just that the karma only shows up on the ImpulseDriven site. What I said previously about the karma always being accurate in your karma list was wrong, as it doesn't seem to work for people who have 0 karma for most of the sites due to a bug. I've fixed this bug, so the next forum update will show your karma in your karma list, but the numbers will still be wrong in posts and other places.
I gave you a karma point a couple of days ago and I see you as +2 now. Are you still a sad panda?

And yet, doesn't karma relate to what you do in life - in a very general way? As such, your karma rating on this board would fluctuate with how you conduct your everyday living.
Said a bad word to someone lately? Karma goes down.
Had a negative thought lately? Karma goes down.
Swat a fly lately? Karma goes down.
Smoke a cig or j today? Karma goes down.
The only way to keep karma up, is to conduct a perfect life.
Stardock knows this, and has thus implemented this perfect system of checks and balances into it's ultimately transcendent forum format.

Last night PyroMancer2k was at +2 karma. I gave him +1, but this morning he's still at +2, when he should be at +3.
Bara said that the totals would still be wrong after the latest update (the one last week). It seems like it must be a very interesting (annoying) bug to work. Especially the moving target aspect.
PyroMancer2k's total at Elemental looks correct now, 3 entries in his list from 3 users and +3 in the thread UI. My total looks normal at GalCiv2 but is still down substantially at Elemental and is yet a different number at ImpulseDriven, which I never use for reading or posting. On a quick skim, my details page looks to have the same entries at all three domains. My guess is that when Bara et al call the job finished, we'll either be seeing accurate pan-Stardockia karma totals at all Stardock forums or the lists and totals will display only karma from the topics/categories available at a given Stardock forum.
You're right, I can see it at +3 now. Very strange.
It happens every once in a while. I had the same problem before, with my karma seemingly fluctuating from day to day.
