I've gotten a lot of new games recently (my Birthday was just the other day) and I can't figure out what I want to play. Here's the latest games I picked up.
Dragon Age: Awakenings (I'm about 1/3 of the way through this as of last night)
Distant Worlds: (I installed this last night and went through the tutorials. It seems all right but I don't like not being able to control my Empires research)
Just Cause 2: (I played this all day the day it came out. It's fun so far but I'm not sure I feel like a shooter right now)
Napoleon: Total War (I'm a big Total War buff and the multiplayer drop in campaign looks fun as hell. I just haven't had the time to dive into one)
So that's four new games I've picked up in the last week or so. I'm not really sure what I'm in the mood to play. I'd like to play through all four of them and I will in time, I'm just undecided on what to play right now. Any ideas? Thoughts? What would you be playing if you had these four games?
Well you are 1/3 of the way through DA:A so why not finish it? Also it is pretty short, that's what I would do anyway. I would also devote a little time to Distant Worlds because I'm curious if it's any good and looks more original and fresh than the others.
Dragon age, though I have admittedly not even heard og the others, and I'm playing Origins off and on right now.
-Twilight Storm
Well, I would be finishing up DA:A but I made the mistake of starting DA:O over a few days before the expansion came out. As such I had to replay through the entire original game to get up to the expansion so I'm a little burnt out on it right now. I figure if I break it up a little, play something else for a few days, then I'll feel like going back and finishing DA:A .
Just start a new character in the awakening you don't need to import a character. Only decision that is even carried over from dao is who you made king(queen) and nothing else. Dragon age awakening really isn't worth the asking price it is sub par to dao. Plus no morrigan = un happy synn.
Nada, I had to import my character. I wouldn't want to play as a new character unless I chose to have my Origins character die, which I didn't. I'm quite sad Morrigan isn't in the expansion as well though. I figure what happened with her at the end of Origins will play heavily into the storyline for Dragon Age 2.
Download League of Legends - It's free and probably more fun than all of those. I just topped 400 hours played.
It better, I completed the dark promise on my elementalist, and now I was hoping to have a chance to find my characters run a away lover .
+400 on the bullshit meter.
I suggest playing them all at once. You can either do alt+tab or just cascade the windows.
Finish up the single player games first so you can stop thinking about them.
Happy belated birthday Raven X! I would finish the DA like ed is recommending, next Total War, Just Cause 2 and last Distant Worlds. This doesn't mean the order of best game cause I don't know that, just the order I would play em'.
Thank you, my friend. I hit 32....yeap, old fart time.
I also forgot to mention I got "Fallout: 3 Game of the Year" eddition. I think I didn't mention it because I already had Fallout 3, just not all the DLC.
I think I'm going to give Distant Worlds a shot for a night or two and then go back to DA:A and finish it off. Thanks everyone
Puff out your chest and say: "Tax Exemption!"
Next, acquire a taste for free-form jazz
lol Nope. I'm going to see Korn on May 1st at a concert called "Earth Day Birth Day 17". Don't worry, I'll post pictures
Boo, Korn is terribad
I turned 20 in march, yay me! Great now I have to actually be a productive member of society, fuck society!
Wow I topped 400 on the bullshit meter. That's pretty high. Not sure why though. If I made a similar comment about Demigod (Stardock published), would I get the same negative response. BTW I also played a ton of Demigod. However, new content was slow because Gas Powered Games was working on Supreme Commander 2. So I heard about LOL tried it and loved it. Still do after 400 hours thanks to bi-weekly content updates (playtime tracked by Xfire). How many games can you say that about.
Anyway it was just a suggestion and it's free to try. If you try it and don't like it, just uninstall.
Gonna see them at Mayhem fest in july.... What is Distant worlds?... cant find it anywhere.
nevermind I found it .. looks pretty sweet.
Oh man! The Green Mill in Chicago, near the Aragon Ballroom, has this great jazz trio who does this bang-up half-hour version of the M*A*S*H* theme. Al Capone's old hangout. Tunnels under the Green Mill allowed him easy escape from the cops.

My gods....I didn't know people with brain damage were able to type on the internet!?!?! It's so great you're able to get past your mental handicap to try to lead a normal life.

Korn Kicks Ass!!! What the hell is wrong with you?
A quick comment on Napoleon: Total War. It might seem shallow at first, but it has alot of depth. It is also more complex then previous total wars so it hasnt been noobified in any way. Free DLC was released recently which is good. You might not find the campaign very replayable, but you will love the battles. Not arcade-style at all and the AI is great as long as it is on hard or expert.
If you hhave played Empire: Total War, you might think, "hey this game doesn't change much at all, is a ripoff!" but actually, NTW's seemingly minor changes have an enormous (and positive) impact.
Savage 2
Lol, Teseer you're really promoting Savage 2 aren't you.
Also, Korn is only bad because of the vocals. If they just did instrumental stuff I'd probably listen to them. (same goes for megadeth)
Savage 2 sucks >.>
