Well, there you have it. We lacked something like this, so I decided to make one since we have a rather large flow of newbies coming in. I left off things like Starbases, structures, and planets since they are kinda off to the side...
Oh, here is a similar image from Badken. It is more in depth and shows the actual multipliers against certain armor types. Basically, use mine to get the gist and then use his for more detail.

Well, thats the thing with charts... theres always another way to look at it and/or more details to add (of course you can also add too much detail).
But I do have to say the graphics on both these charts are slick. My refrence chart I just posted is nowhere near this graphical. I guess I dont have the artists touch.... unless you take a look at the formulas... dems is things of beauty.

Hey Volt, you should make support cruisers counter heavy cruisers as well.
Im probably wrong, but that doesnt seem right. I think if you were to go into more detail, faction specific counters would be what you want

2.by default LRF targets flaks first making some heavies to punch first

Graphic representation of ship counters has been done a couple of times before. (Another good post on this topic). I find the above confusing. I prefer my simple crude graphic representation:
Basically it goes:
LRF > LF > Carriers (fighters) > LRF again. Thats the basic triangle. The end wraps around to the start.
Its pretty obvious that LRFs are good against LFs (Long Range Frigates: Javelis LRMs, Illums, Assailants vs. Light Frigates: Cobalts, Disciples, Skirmishers). LF counter Carriers best, and fighters counter LRF.
The following is a more complex expansion: > LRF > Flak > (fighters) > ScoutsScouts > LRF > LF > Carriers | > Support v (bombers) > HC's > Structures (& SBs) > Cap Ships
Scouts are good against LRFs. LRFs good at LFs. LFs are good against Flak, Carriers and all of the higher tech Support (repair/disable) ships. Carrier fighters are good against LRF and Scouts, as well as Bombers. Carrier bombers excel at HC (Heavy Cruisers), planet Structures and Capital ships. HCs, SBs and Cap Ships are all good against all, and wrap back around to front.
