Talk about anything here.
wait a minute i thought the special attack and attack thing came in golf/silver.
Yes and no.
RBY had a mixed system of Special Attack and Special Def.
More specifically, Red/Blue/Yellow had the following Pokemon stats:
Attack
Defence
Speed
Special
The Special stat, was a mix of Special Attack and Special Defence stats. Which means that it accounted for both, considering that very few moves were special in RBY versions of Pokemon.
Gold, Silver and Crystal, enhanced the Special value, and introduced Special Attack and Special Defence stats separately, with more special moves than RBY.
p.s. Crystal was my favorite back then
"Cute Pokemon always get Parahax!"
answer to limey man is
the DS mod lore
No dude I mean where all attacks of one type were forced into 1 stat. Like how normal and rock moves ALL used to be physical. Now they can be physical or special.
Oh right, yeah that was the case back then. So they made some (not many), special moves for Rock and Normal types, in order to balance the game a little.
But come on, look at this:
60 power, 100 accuracy, and only 5 PP. And the chance to raise all of your stats is only 10% so yeah...
This move is fail.
The other Rock special move is cool I guess:
I didn't specifically mean rock types....it screwed over alot of pokemon and fixed alot to. I mean I know I loved having a Grass type with high attack and low special...

What are you trying to say Shiro? Make yourself clear.
If you mean that in previous versions the physical/special icons didnt show next to each move, so you couldnt know for sure whether a move was physical or special, then yeah, D/P changed that, and added these icons in the stats page.
favourite type for me is ground. I always try to specialise in single play to make it more interesting.
I think what he means is before certain attacks were 'special' due to type like fire and ice punch, but now they are concidered physical due being punches. Ami right?
I dont really have a favorite type. I like certain Pokemon more than others, but type doesnt matter too much for me.
My top 10 Pokemon:
Typhlosion, Machamp, Raikou, Gengar, Meganium, Gyarados, Dragonite, Golem, Swellow, Lugia.
(Order is random)
(Yes, I know that Lugia is an uber, and normally I dont like ubers, but I just love this one.)
Yeah, thats what I got too, but then he confused me with that Grass comment.
Anyway, it only makes sense to have both physical and special moves for each type. Of course, some types are prone to a lot more physical than special, like Fighting or Rock, but that accounts for these Pokemon that are physical attackers.
Same goes for other types who are prone to a lot more special than physical moves.
I really think they did a good job, making certain moves physical (like punches) and others special, (like Uproar which is normal).
You know what makes me sad?
My Raikou is Naive nature, and that means that it has lowered Special Defence, and raised Speed stats.
This is so fail. I dont even need any more speed on Raikou, because it is an already fast pokemon, and certainly dont need lowered Special Defence, considering that it normally is somewhat of a Special wall.
I wish, I could do something, but I cant You cant catch legendary Pokemon twice, and this means that you have to get lucky on the nature part.
p.s. I caught 11 different magicarp, to get the nature I wanted for my Gyarados
Very good... Now all I need to know is how you found that out!
Anybody want the answer to 3?
Oh, and Morph, I was always told that in Firered (where I got my Charizard) that he was an attack specialist. I could be mistaken, but every other one I've seen has a higher attack than special attack.
The only physical competitive Charizard is Bellyzard. And Morph your "fast" Raikou would cry against an aerodactyl(sp?).
Sure, spit it out
Yes, you are mistaken. Charizard is, and always have been a special attacker. That doesnt mean that it has terrible Attack though, but certainly not very good.
If your Charizard was Adamant nature, then that means that it has 10% raised Attack, and 10% lowered Special Attack, which results in about the same Attack and Special Attack stats (Base value of ~100).
Now, give it some EV training or vitamins, to inscrease its Attack, and you have slightly higher Attack than Special Attack.
But again, Charizard is normally a special attacker. You can get the most out of him if you focus on its special attack, rather than its attack.
Your Charizard sounds like a mixed-build to me. I rarely see mixed Charizards, but it can happen. But certainly not a pure Attacker though. That just cant happen
http://pokemon.marriland.com/hgss/pokedex/charizard/
Yes, Bellyzards can be competitive on Wi-Fi battling, especially when the opponent expects to see a special Charizard that is Choice Specs, or Scarfed.
And about my Raikou, yes I know that Aerodactyl is faster, but my level 45 Raikou pwned Lance's level 48 Aerodactyl, which outspeeds my whole team, and that was enough for me.
What I said originally still stands though. Naive nature for Raikou is just fail. Too bad I didnt get lucky like my Soul Silver game, where my Raikou happened to be Modest nature, with increased Special Attack, and reduced Attack stats.
Oh well
Top ten?
Torterra, Swampert, Camerupt, Hippowdon, Flygon, Metagross, Gliscor, Slaking, Snorlax, Hypno(was the first pokemon i ever got to 100, it was red version so it was cheap )
Same way I found out about Bane. It easy. I just follow your karma
You know Alt, I have never had a Flygon in any of the Pokemon games I've played. I dont know why, I always liked Flygon, and I see it very often online, but I never had any.
Kind of strange, to say the least
Flygon would be in my top ten as well. Supper time cya all later.
Bon Appetit
Sorry to interrupt, but if I may mention my most recent crisis.
Remember how I sarcastically said that I dreamed of being a pimp and dating both Hannah and Mish?Well...
Since they broke up, Hannah's been a little extra... flirty, and apparently does have SOME amount of romantic feelings towards me, since she's requested my jacket to replace Mish's.
...
Why?
Xer0 \^/
Interrupt what?
Btw, about the "crisis" comment, you should write a book: "Dakota's adventures" J/K, he he
We all know that "Dakota and Mishayla" is a TV series, and not a book, duh Ok, the start of the new season seems interesting, lets see what we have here.
Uhm.....tbh no, but please do continue
Hmm....you wanna know what I think?
I think someone is trying to make someone else jealous, ergo, Hannah is trying to make Mish jealous.
What happened exactly? Who broke up with who, and why?
If Mish broke up with Hannah, then my theory might be true. If not, then Hannah always liked you, and now that she is free, she's got a chance to hit on you.
But you only have eyes for Mishayla, dont you Xer07?
Xer0, don't fall for this trap, no matter the outcome, you will end up in the ditch watching from the sidelines. You want Mish, don't screw yourself, you don't wanter, back off before the truck hits you. (I hope that was a metaphore...)
-Twilight Storm
LOL Storm chill out, he didnt do anything yet, he is just wondering as to why is Hannah flirting with him.
Come on, Xer07, dont ignore us (J/K)
I know he didn't do anything yet, that's why I'm attacking with ma ful arsinel. That, and I'm a little miffed that afdter all his talk about wanting only what is best for mish, he wants another GF now that he has her...
-Twilight Storm | If Skidi were real she'd be angry.
Side Note: Azrael went Uber Emo and now no longer claims he's an angel, deleting me from his friends list on Facebook as a result...Lame....
And now, back the the equally disturbing present, I Like Cheese.
