So, what have I missed in the last couple months? Anything interesting? So far the only thing of note seems to be that somebody finally got through to Xer0 (Was it one of us or is he listening to the voices in his head like me?)

Hmm....why did that game sort of die? I remember it was huge during release date.
2 reasons.
1) Like SoaSE, the online learning curve is too steep for most, and the campaign is too lacking to keep a player base.
2) Like MW2, certain things are just too effective, or ineffective. Infantry is simply free score for any thinking opponent, while heavy choppers can kill anything in numbers, including AA. In addition to lack of cooperation between teammates (atleast most of the time), there is only an uphill fight for armor, infantry, and a concensus-handicapped support. There is little room for alternative tactics, though Xer0 and I know a few, which makes most matches the same.
I retired from the game due to the latter, as the winning side is determined within two minutes, unless a nuke is used (which prompts retaliation and back to square one with a few minutes remaining). I preffer using mods and screwing around with the AI than getting a coin-toss match and predictable combat sequence.

It's not completely unbalanced, but to counter most situations, you simply spam the counter-unit, which then is counter-spammed, and so on.
I mostly play clan wars
(Role vs Role) nowadays, however when I do play pubs I play air
(Because of the loophole where you fly backwards and drop flares, you can kill any anti air unit en masse) or infantry (For the simple fact that a 5 man squad is unkillable if you use it right, and it can counter any other ole)
If I play a pub and somebody spams the counter to my unit, I laugh in his face, kill him over and over and over, and then he ragequits. (For example, I'm playing armor and a guy rushes air towards me, well I buy two APC's and a Scout Chopper, and use my Heavy Tank as bait while my APC's shoot him down. If I'm air and somebody rushes APC's, Anti air or Infantry, I kill him because Air has ungodly firepower en masse, if I'm support and somebody rushes me with tanks, I spam repair tanks and milk him for damage/repair points. If I'm infantry and somebody rushes me with artillery or snipers, I counter with blackhawks and counter-sniping.)
I often try to introduce new tactics to old maps (I.E. Burning through the forest by the town with napalm to flank while their main force is away, sneaking infantry into the Soviet Base in Seattle to rape their spawn zone and cap a large command point, dropping light tanks on the Liberty to kill their APC's, etc.) however most of the time I do these alone, or don't do them at all due to lack of teamwork.
oh, and two things are noteworthy:
One: I'm trying to train a clan so that I can have decent, legit players online whenever I need them, and
Two: I recently asked around, and I am the youngest World in Conflict player to reach the top 200. Similarly, I've beaten people from the ages of 17 to 40 in 1v1's.

You're lucky in these cases, either because the player is too stupid to simply kill your APC's with his choppers/focus-fire, or because he is the only opponent that you had to fight at one time.
Then again, you did mention clan wars, which would actually make this common. (2 vs 2 and I get a nuke, WTF)

My clan is rather... iffy at the moment, as I'm leading one and the leading player in another.

It's not luck, once you pop smoke you shift slightly outside of the center of the cloud, where they'll most likely aim. Clan wars, if the enemy is air, I just get a med chopper and distract him with that. Most of the time it's Tanks vs Tanks or Tanks vs infantry, however.
PAANBI is being molded into an "elite clan" by it's leader at the moment (dude says that I'm the queen of his chessboard, and that if I wasn't in the clan the whole thing would fall apart) so lots of noobs are being kicked. You'll need express protection from me to stay.
The Catalysts is my own personal clan I made because the leader of PAANBI is a raging homosexual noob who collects talent and then marvels at his collection... however, right after I left PAANBI I got invited to at least 3 different clans, two of them being super pro clans, the other being a clan of my fanboy (in fact, he's so desperate to be in the same clan as me, he asked me if I wanted him to tell his clan to leave and join me ) anyway, I made this clan, but then put my old profile as the leader because PAANBI really would be nothing without me.
I recommend joining PAANBI, just don't get in my way.
EDIT\\\ Oh, no, I was at the Gas Station, holding back a large Soviet Attack, 5 medium tanks, 3 heavy attack helicopters, 2 heavy anti air and one repair tank for the USSR side, on MY side it was 2 Heavy tanks, 3 APC's, one light tank (Airdropped) one jeep (Airdropped) one Airborne Infantry in the woods to provide LOS, two Anti Tank fortifications, two MG fortifications and two AA fortifications. The air player rushed in and tried to kill me so that the other two could capture it, but all three of his Mi-28's tasted hot American lead and fell into the river. I lost an AA and AT fortification, and 900 damage on one of the Heavy tanks. I hid the Heavy tank behind a patch of trees so I could repair it and have it shoot, I had my 3 APC's rush past the med tanks (who were concentrating on my fortifications and heavy tank) so they killed the enemies anti air and repairs, I lost two of them coming back though. After that, killing the med tanks was easy, two of them went down with my APC's, and the other three got eaten by my Abrams.
Alright....lots of stuff I have nothing to say about....

So.....my noob friend I was talking about, bought a copy of League of Legends Collector's Edition recently, (which contains many heroes, as well as runes, skins etc), only to find out that these goodies of the game were meant to be redeemed at LoL Europe, while he (just like me) is playing at the US version of LoL.
