Yes, storm, I excluded the spiritual part of it on purpose. Because the human soul cannot be explained scientifically, and that was the whole point of my post: that there is a good rational explanation for almost every feeling. Except Love, which is random, irrational, and uncontrolable. Anyway, you did good to mention this

Not Veers imo....but everyone else yeah, we have your back, and you should think why we are being supportive. Its because you are decent enough, and you deserve to be with her imo.
I know Crush = Love, but he needs to say it to himself. Once he admits that fact, I think It'll be easier to move forward.

A crush is a slang term for infatuation, a "false love" so to speak, most common in young teenagers due to their overreaction to the activation of their hormones.
In recent news... Firstly: Twilight, I know I'll get over it, but I just can't help feel like I'll just fall down and get back up again and again until there's nothing left. Secondly: Today it was HER turn to be sad... all of her friends are SUPER pissed at her for asking out Ethan again, and all of them are flaming her for it... something she didn't foresee. I think she was actually shocked by it, since she told me yesterday how asking out Ethan would make everyone (except for Liz, my ex) happy, well the only people who AREN'T pissed at her for it are me, Her GF, Hannah, and Hannah's GF, Kalob. So, she tells me all of this, almost on the verge of tears, then gets quiet and listens to music until Art is over, when I have to tap on her arm and tell her we're leaving. So, as we leave, I make a promise to her... I told her, "Hey, I just want you to know that everything will be alright... I promise", to which she says, "Yeah, at least you don't bitch at me" and I say, "It's your life, I won't be judgemental and tell you how to live it"... this (apparently) cheers her up a bit, and we leave one another for our seperate classes.
Which makes me need to ask this, who's the better friend?
Her other friends, who want to prevent her from hurting herself by making bad choices, or
Me, who lets her do whatever she wants, but is always there to pick her back up when she falls down?

You, without a doubt. It IS her life, they have no right to judge her decsisions. I don't give a rat's arse what their reasoning is, they are wrong. Period.
You are supporting her, and when the time comes, and she realizes it's a mistake, you'll be there to support her. These "Friends" who are flaming her for it will simply say "I told you so" and make things worse. YOu made the right choice, for both of you, in my honest opinion. Meaning in this case, the right thing to do, and the tactical thing to do, were the same. So I in turn ask you this:
Given this turn of events, where your heartfelt descision works in HER best interests, and yours, is it really right of you to feel you don't deserve her, to the point on sabotaging yourself? Xer0, you have her at your heart. You want what is best for her. YOU ARE WHAT"S BEST FOR HER BECAUSE OF THAT!
Right... I'll be her Guardian Angel until the day she's tired of me, or until the day she finds someone who can take my place... or until I get so fed up with my family that my anger at them and my bio-father overcomes my love for her, and I leave. (Last one not so likely, for now, anyway)
In the meantime, I'll be here for her, waiting until she needs me, then picking her up off the ground, and supporting her until she can find happiness.
I've thought for a while that this song described our relationship better than any other, and I guess I was right.

Yes, but the story behind Ethan (the only part of her story where she was close, TRULY close to tears) is that he's openly confessed his love to her, even when she came out and told him he was a pest and she HATED him, he would still text her and talk to her to find out if she was OK after a long day... the only comfort I have in the two of them getting so close is that she's already said that she needs to make it clear that she's not in it for the long run, that she justs needs a guy like him for a while. Which is one of the reasons why I'm nervous about asking her: even if she says yes, once we graduate, that's the end.
Don't put too much stock in what I'm about to say, I don't have the information you do.
But if she told you that, you may have more of a chance than you think. Perhaps she is in the same dilemma you are. It may not seem so to yourself, but she me think as much of you as you do of her.
Just an observation. Speaking from a specifically tactical standpoint, anyway.
