@Aplos - About the pirates and wormhole tech. Were you able to field test and see them use wormholes? Or did you just add the research to the pirates tech line?

I gave the research to pirates that unlocked interstellar phase jumps (and of course tested).
As for the wormholes (or gates), giving them the research should work too (In Stars 2.4 they don't have such).

Hmmm--I've tried it way back and they never used it within the first two hours--worth a shot to test I guess.
I got the same test results as you Sinperium. Interstellar worked just fine but with wormhole they never even sent out an attack when they were only linked by wormhole and when I connect them but made the wormhole the shortest route they still didn't use it. Oh well.

I mentioned on another post the desire for wormhole use by pirates and a dev responded and said they would look into that for Rebellion.
I notice pirate raids phase into the pirate bases from "outer space". I wonder if they already have a kind of hardcoded phase gate potential?
I'll try giving them the research for it and add a "pirate phase gate" and see what happens. At least this way you could make hubs to connect to phase lanes
Your Pipeline Effects folder is messed up then.
Try looking up the fix or updating your sins version.
sounds like the old entrenchment 1.04 issue, which was caused by several fx files in the mod's pipelineeffects folder ie
GS_Asteroid.fxGS_Planet.fxGS_Ship.fxGS_ShipBuilding.fxGS_ShipPhasedOut.fx
just delete these files and it should fix it for you

you should ONLY delete from MODS, NOT the game files. you can repair the sins/entrenchment/diplomacy installation by verifying the installation in impulse ie open impulse, when logged in hold a shift key down then RIGHT MOUSE click on the sins/entrenchment/diplomacy lines and verify the instalation, and download the update(fix for the damage)

"SkyBoxProperties" file, by removing these lines:
numFarStarIconCloudTextureNames 3 textureName "Stars_SKY_Lavender_Spiral_1" - (by the way, the names of that textures) textureName "Stars_SKY_Lavender_Spiral_2" textureName "Stars_SKY_Lavender_Spiral_3"
It should look like:
numFarStarIconCloudTextureNames 0
