Ok, so being an old time object dock user, I got the pre-order email to get into the beta. And while $10 - $20 dollars isn't the end of the world,I think it is kinda lame to charge to help you test out and fix your software. Not only do you want us to lay out money to help you fix bugs, but you didn't even give us a feature list of the upcoming ObjectDock Plus 2.0.
Am I missing something here or is this just poor marketing. Don't get me wrong. I love object dock plus, but not enough to pay for something that I have no idea what I'm paying for..

Not to rain on the big paying for a beta parade here ... but I thought I would quote the sentence mentioned about the preorder/beta ...
Now, I would like to highlight the *early* access to the beta part. Does this mean that early payers get access to beta first ... then a week later *everyone* could get access to the beta without paying?

man, 3 more days left in february and i'm very anxious to get this. i wonder though, not much of anything has been said about features, i hope there are lots of new features stolen from other good dock apps, not just making it pretty. although, i like pretty lol
So I preordered OD 2.0 two days ago and I have yet to see the download in my Impulse.
I've checked 'Show pre-release versions' and still nothing. Is the beta not out yet?

Not enjoying the purchase as there are NO help files and noone knows anything (at least that I can find).Been trying to find command lists for the config files for making themes..etc..
Help files are usually something that comes very late in the production of software. Remember it is after all a beta, something that is still a work in progress.
Hmm... after reading these, i think i wait for Final. But i agree "bad marketing".
Microsoft didn't ask anything from Windows 7 Beta or RC. I have many products, what are/were available for free,
when there was (only) beta or RC out, only Final is... well Final.
And also that Final will include updates, like Windows 7, or any other "Final" products.
Hence, i just bought OD+, but got same email, support didn't care much.
Previously they promise some kind of discount/comps, because there was weird conflict,
when i used Vista.... i also wrote my experience, and ironically found a solution,
tech thanked me. Now they said, that blah, blah, NO, blah, NO, blah, NO, blah NO records.
So be it,
I love SD products... but customer care and tech and....ummmm... everything isn't "final".
EDIT APRIL 24TH: Well, i just bought it... only ~7 Euros, and i like it, even i expect many features on following release(s).
But like they state, this is beta.
